Whether or not these zombies are due to the work of the town or an individual, I must say it is so terribly uncreative. If I recall correctly, it was nearly around the same time last year where a similar incident happened as well. Really, if you are out to terrify and maim us, do try a bit harder next time. A boring game of repetition is no entertainment at all.
And as terribly bored as I am, I will offer a great kindness in hopes that it will relieve such boredom. Do take note of it as I can assure you such a thing will not happen again. [Kindness only comes once in a million years alright!!] If anyone is interested, I shall be sharing tea at 1648 Albright Lane. It is as good a time as any for a good cup of tea and enjoyable conversation.
Of course, should you be attacked on your way here if you choose to come--well, I suppose that is simply not my problem. [And with that she hangs up. What a lovely young girl, right...]
Action: 1648 Albright Lane
[And true to her word, housemates and guests will be able to find Rachel in the kitchen sipping tea and having a pastry or two. The pot of tea is still hot, and there's a plate of other pastries on the table too. Clearly a zombie invasion is the time to enjoy yourself with tea. u_u]

I think that's going on my to-do list. I'd rather have a book than that beast at this rate, even though I've received most of my favorites back already. [whoops apparently they live in the same twisted world wherever it is, given that he doesn't seem to think anything's wrong with using pets as punching bags...] It keeps one from getting rusty, if nothing else.
That sounds like it could be very plausible. Why, I'd go so far as to say you ought to be gifted with a medal of honor for your efforts and contributions to the city.

Quite frankly, even the dullest of picture books seems like it would be worth more than your mouse. [some call the police for animal abuse right here...] At the same time though, I am beginning to wish for some sort of actual challenge.
If such a thing was to happen, that would likely be the first and only thing the city has ever done right.
no subject
That could certainly be said. [a shrug] Perhaps you'll get that soon enough. It has been a while since anything has gone truly wrong within the city. This might be the metaphoric "calm before the storm". [only with zombies... AND NOW THEY'VE CURSED THEIR LUCK aw yeah]
no subject
Considering what I was told of upon my arrival about this place, I feel as if nearly my entire stay so far has been a calm before whatever storm was supposed to have happened. [okay maybe one event actually did bother her but everything else was a cake walk!!]
no subject
Is that so? How long have you been in town, out of curiosity? [because he's assuming it must not be long at all if some of the things here haven't gotten to her! it's not like he's just ridiculously bothered by half of the things that happen because he's an overly sensitive dingbat or anything...]
no subject
Let's see now... I believe I will have been here for approximately one year in a month. [come on charles you gotta TOUGHEN UP!! we can't have over sensitive vampires right...]
no subject
Ah, I see. [A BABBY RESIDENT BY COMPARISON! though he finds it kind of amusing to note that she and at least two of her housemates appeared around the same time...] Things have actually been relatively calm since last October or so. [except nuclearfield and surgeryfield but hey who's keeping track of the trauma??]
no subject
I can only hope it was less calm before last October then. Their idea for Halloween [HER BIRTHDAY] was quite dull after all. [pshaw she sure isn't what kind of lamer actually keeps track right...]
no subject
Before then we had the larger out of town excursions like Westport and Maipole, which were very eventful. [to say the least.....] Ah, but what happened in October? That was around the time the saucer landed near the highway and that massive red ooze appeared, yes? [nope, no keeping track of trauma here. only vague recollections allowed!!]
no subject
Going all the way out of town? My, that certainly does sound like it would have been quite the event. I'm disappointed I missed it now. [she nods] Something like that, yes. It was a rather garish event that seemed to mimic low grade horror movies what with fake alien abductions, the dead rising from their graves to serve as the undead, et cetera.
no subject
It was better than some of the occurrences that left us stranded within this town, at the very least. ...Though for one who disliked the carnival, Westport might have been a little lackluster. Replace the rats with hazmats and the milkman, expand the size of the location to match a full city, replace the carnival theme with nuclear ruins and you would essentially have the same thing. [that isn't the same at all]
An irritating holiday. I would say that it was kind of them to give us a reprieve from their usual candy-themed nonsense, but it still left a lot to be desired.
no subject
Even candy would have been better than that rubbish they did last year. Eating one or two would have provided some way to pass the time. [or scarfing down bucket loads she really likes sweets okay]
no subject
I don't believe their candy is worth wandering around for a day acting like a moron. [even if he really likes sweets too, the things he did when he thought he was indiana jones put him off...]
no subject
I must assume that every Halloween here has been utterly dreadful.
no subject
[nodding with a great deal of disdainful exasperation...] I can only hope against logic that they'll manage something a little more interesting this year.
no subject
I should certainly hope so. It would be rather displeasing to have yet another dreadful birthday. [so in the end it's all about her good job rachel.]
no subject
Oh? It's unfortunate that your birthday falls on one of the holidays here, but the antics on Halloween are at least somewhat easy to avoid in comparison to Christmas or Thanksgiving. If nothing else, I would certainly be willing to bring you tea cakes and a few of the homemade chocolates I've come to enjoy. Sitting out rampant idiocy with a cup of tea must alleviate some of the irritation. [a tea party birthday party, so sophisticated....]
no subject
Ah, I suppose you're right. I shudder to think of spending a birthday during an event like the one last Christmas. [homemade chocolate though holy shit yes] That would be very kind of you, and if so I may actually have reason to look forward to this birthday. I do personally always find having a good cup of tea while others are panicking at whatever is happening a fine way to pass time.
no subject
Wouldn't that be miserable? [sipping tea through Christmas shenanigans is much too difficult!!] I don't see why we couldn't make that arrangement, then. I doubt either of us will be affected by the trifling nuisances of Halloween, so missing the opportunity to have another proper high tea would be absolutely terrible. [read as 'the opportunity to eat all the sugar and laugh at losers with the addition of tea']
no subject
Yes, then I would very much like to. After all, there are very few things that can excuse missing tea to begin with, and we should take every chance we can get to have it properly here. [that is always the best way roll in fact they should live it up like that everyday]
no subject
I'm in complete agreement. It would be far too much of a shame to pass up such wonderful opportunities. [nodding to himself yep, after which he sets his cup back on the table since it's empty by now.] I'll see what I can do about getting some proper loose-leaf, as well. You did wonders with this tea, but I'm certain higher quality is better suited for a celebration.
no subject
Thank you. I do believe I have better teas in stock, but I was unsure on using it as I was doubtful of company with using it for would actually come. [that and she probably doesn't actually know how to prepare tea that much SCREAMS. this is why she had a butler!!!] I suppose that will be yet another thing to look forward to though.
no subject
A sensible decision. With the kinds of people here, it's always better to err on the side of caution. [gosh is he going to have to be the stand-in tea brewer until they get some actual servants hired] I'll be looking forward to it as well. I don't wish to exhaust your hospitality in the meanwhile though, so I'll be taking my leave.
no subject
and pretty much yeah IT'S HARD BEING SPOILED OKAY] Of course. Do take care in the meantime, and I will be looking forward to whenever we meet next.
no subject
much like making tea just in case one ever finds themselves trapped in a 50s town without butlers!! also she can have her Fancy People Parting Gesture™ here, a slight inclination of his head as he turns to leave. he'd clean up his cup but he expects that she'll leave it for Abel to deal with anyway...]
The very same to you. Have a good afternoon.
