[April had wanted to hide in her room for a while, after what had happened last week. She had acted so cold and that fight with Greed... But, hiding wouldn't solve anything, and hey, she got an envelope in the mailbox. She isn't too happy when she opens the envelope though, as she immediately doubles over from pain and collapses onto her knees.]

Agh... D-dammit...

[There doesn't seem to be any open wounds on her, but the scars that have made an appearance on her arms might be an indication of what's wrong.]

[Sometimes later, April makes a phone call. She still sounds in pain, but not as bad as earlier.] Does... does anyone know any first-aid stuff for treating old wounds? I've gotten some back, and they're hurting like hell...

... And, um, for anyone who saw me last week, I-I'm sorry about how I a-acted...

[He rolls up the bottom of his pants just enough for her to catch the telltale glimpse of metal.]

[She peers at his leg too. And yep, she does look pretty interested in the automail.]

... How did you get these, if you don't mind me asking?

... I got into a pretty bad accident when I was a kid. I don't really like talking about it.

Okay, I won't pry. [With how tightly April kept some of her past to herself, it would be hypocritical of her to ask more about it. Plus, y'know, respect for privacy.

Which is why she sort of changes the subject.]

... But, um, would it be alright if I took a look at your automail? I won't do anything to it, I promise.

Sure, go ahead. As long as you don't try to take it apart, anyway. My mechanic would kill me.

[Moving around still hurts, so she uses her technopathy to have a look at it. Cue mental poking at the automail.]

[April blinks at him for a second or two. Then proceeds to burst into giggles, even if doing so makes her wince slightly.]

Ah, your arm is feeling weird, right? Don't worry, I'm just using my technopathy to have a look at it. It's completely harmless.

[He looks up, eyes wide as he flexes his fingers like that's going to make the sensation go away.]

How are you -- AUGH. [The question doesn't have time to fully form. The weird feeling is still there, but for a second it almost... it almost felt like a tickle?

[Give her a moment to stop her giggles first. Oh, it's been a while since she laughed this much.] I-it basically means I can talk and control any sort of electronic and such. So right now, I'm 'talking' to your arm, that's why it feels weird.

Yeah, yeah. Laugh it up, April.

[Oh, but that gets his attention.]

Seriously? How are you able to do it?

[Don't mind him, he's just curious. Scientist and all.

He jumps a bit, squirming uncomfortably as he stares at his arm.]

It's just... I can't actually feel with this arm. Kinda strange to be able to feel any sort of sensation from it at all, honestly. [Well, it's strange to feel something that isn't pain, anyway.]

[Her laughter dies down, and she'll be giving him a nod.]

Yeah, seriously. I'm... not human and it's one of the abilities I was born with. I'm not exactly sure how I do it, but I'm able to mentally connect with electronic and stuff.

[And she smiles faintly and will stop using her technopathy on his arm, leaning back a bit.]

Sorry about that... It's probably due to how when I 'talk' to your arm, it 'talks' back to me, which is what causes the feeling. It's harmless though, so don't worry.
