Action | Outside 918 Bilko Boulevard.

[April had wanted to hide in her room for a while, after what had happened last week. She had acted so cold and that fight with Greed... But, hiding wouldn't solve anything, and hey, she got an envelope in the mailbox. She isn't too happy when she opens the envelope though, as she immediately doubles over from pain and collapses onto her knees.]

Agh... D-dammit...

[There doesn't seem to be any open wounds on her, but the scars that have made an appearance on her arms might be an indication of what's wrong.]

[Sometimes later, April makes a phone call. She still sounds in pain, but not as bad as earlier.] Does... does anyone know any first-aid stuff for treating old wounds? I've gotten some back, and they're hurting like hell...

... And, um, for anyone who saw me last week, I-I'm sorry about how I a-acted...

Alright, hang on, I'll be over as quick as I can. I'm Ken, by the way.

Thanks, Ken. I'm April. The front door will be unlocked, so just let yourself in.

No problem, I'll be there as soon as I can.

[True to his word, Ken manages to make it there in about ten minutes, though he does knock as he opens the door.]

April?

[And he'll be greeted by a puppy who happily barks up at him before April speaks up.]

Hi, Ken. I'm in the living room... I, uh, kinda really don't want to move right now, so...

[Action ]

[Aww puppy! He'll spare a pat as he makes his way to where April said she was.]

Alright, let me see. I have some stuff with me but it all depends on the kind o' wound.

I've, uh, got a lot of them, so it depends which on you would want to start with first...

So it's like that then...um. Alright. What one is the most recent, we should probably start with that one.

[Action ]

Oh, um... [She pull down her shirt collar a bit to show a scar running down from her shoulder. It's still rather red, though it isn't a large wound.] This one is.

[Action ]

[weiss_tank]

Ew, that woulda been nasty when it was made. Looks like it's healing up alright but you never know.

[And so he bends to his work, having a little too much skill for someone who looks so normal]

What made it?

Yeah, it was a bit of a mess at the time.

[She laughs sheepishly as she watches him work with mild interest.]

... Just some ass I got into a fight with. He had a knife on him and I got the scar.

[Action ]

Yeah, knife wounds can get pretty nasty. You're lucky this didn't nick anything important on its way past.

[Action ]

I tend to get lucky a lot. I've suffered worse wounds, but I'm happy this one only just bled for a while and was treated quickly.

[Action ]

Lucky. Yeah, alright. What one next?

[Action ]

[technologic]

Ah... This one here. [She motions to another red looking scar on her arm. It's not as recent as the other one, but it looks much deeper.]

[Action ]

[weiss_tank]

Damn, what did kinda mess did you get yourself into! [Ken is rather impressed.]

[Action ]

[technologic]

... Let's just say I get into a lot of fights back home. [And this scar isn't even one of the more severe ones.]

[Action ]

[weiss_tank]

That's kinda obvious. [to be fair, Ken isn't one to talk. Getting into fights back home was his job. His skin underneath his clothing is just as mottled with scars like hers.]

Most of yours that I can see seem to be healing up nicely. I take it the town just dumped them all on you again.

[Action ]

[She laughs sheepishly before giving him a nod.] Yeah, pretty much. It was a shock to the system, I guess.

I can believe it. The town did the same thing to me a while ago. It's weird, goin' from flawless to being sliced and diced once more.

It is... But I'm all right with getting my scars back, I think. They make me feel more like, well, me, even if they are a literal pain right now.

[Action ]

[weiss_tank]

Yeah. Scars are part of who you are, a map of your past. This town takes 'em away to try and take away your past.

[Action ]

[technologic]

But it never works, since we always remember it. [She takes a look at the scars on her arms.] ... But it's nice having this part back, even if I don't like them sometimes.

I can believe it. Ya know, to be honest, the way you look like you're healing up, just some things to keep any swelling down may be all you need for the rest of 'em.
