[It ain't as interesting as working on the Millennium Falcon, but it's a way to pass the time, and Han's starting to really get the hang of the archaic engines the vehicles use.]

B. Olney's Tavern

[If there's one thing Han's been doing a lot of lately, it's drinking. Sure, he's always enjoyed the occasional brandy, but after the Death Star blew up the rebel base... there's been more reason for it. That hasn't really changed with the whole kidnapped to another dimension thing. So he's at the bar after work, enjoying some nice, Earth drinks.]

C. Phone

I've been to a lot of planets, and I don't think any of them reach this place's levels of dullness. There's gotta be somewhere around here that's less... wholesome.



[Han's AU is that in Episode IV he didn't turn around and help the rebellion win the Battle of Yavin. He just flew off to pay back Jabba. As a result, he's back to his free-flying smuggling ways... but Luke and Leia are dead, and the rebellion is all but crushed. As a result, the Empire's grip is tightening without resistance and though Han doesn't exactly regret his decision, sometimes he wonders if he could have made the difference... but mostly he just plays the unrepentant pirate and lives for making money.]

[What's this? Luke in a bar? He, too, has just gotten off work and is reluctant to go home to those creepy, clingy drone children.

To someone who knows him he might be noticeably different. His mannerisms, speech, and even the way he moves are different. He stands up straighter and his emotions are kept in check. The farmboy is no longer there.

He doesn't seem to take notice of Han as he steps up to the bar to order a drink.]

[It's been years since Han last saw Luke, but he hasn't forgotten.]

Luke?

[Han turns towards Luke more fully, a grin starting to form. He might not know Luke well, but he liked him well enough. Seeing him alive is a good thing.] I thought you were dead for sure!

[last_ofthe_jedi]

[Luke is tiring of being approached by strangers who swear they know him; strangers who seem to become scummier and scummier.]

Really.

[It's less of a question and more of a thinly-veiled display of his dislike for this news. He's not smiling.]

Were you responsible for organizing an attempt on my life or is that how you address everyone you meet?

[parsecs]

[Han looks confused, but then he... interprets that as Luke blaming him for the Yavin loss.]

Hey, watch what you're implying, pal. I told you it was a lost cause. If I'd stuck around, I'd be just as dead as the rest of you. Except... you, I guess. Did you end up running too?

[last_ofthe_jedi]

[There's a hint of a smirk at the corner of Luke's mouth and he's silent for a moment. Something isn't connecting here. This man is obviously referring to events that Luke has no memory of.]

I believe you have me mistaken for someone else.

[parsecs]

[He shakes his head.] Pretty sure I don't, kid. You're Luke Skywalker.

[last_ofthe_jedi]

[Luke seems unimpressed by this. He's used to strangers knowing him by name.]

Then how is it that I don't know who you are?

[parsecs]

[...Han thought he was more memorable than that. He scowls a little and turns back to his drink.]

Forget it. It ain't like we were close.

[last_ofthe_jedi]

[Luke doesn't say anything for a moment, working something through in his head.]

You're not the first person to tell me things about myself that I don't remember.

Someone else thought I was some kind of war hero.

[Oh hey, it's everyone's favorite demon angel bartender. He looks less like a flash bastard and more like he should have been a rock star, dressed in faded black denim and a faded black shirt. His ever present shades are still there, like always.]

Hallo, mate.

[parsecs]

[Han glances up at him and nods a greeting.] Hey.

I hope your weekend hasn't been as weird as mine.

[parsecs]

[Han glances up at him, raising an eyebrow.] And how weird's that?

[eyesofaserpent]

People acting strange, remembering things differently... [He shrugs a bit.] Weird...

[parsecs]

I remember things just fine.

[eyesofaserpent]

[The angel arches his eyebrows above his shades and he leans forward just slightly.]

Indulge me in this... What's my name?

[parsecs]

Uh... Crowley, right?

[eyesofaserpent]

See.... That's what people have been calling me. The ones that remember things differently. My name's Caphriel. It always has been. Crowley's the name of this occultist from a little ways back. Right bastard that one.

[parsecs]

[Han shrugs.] Maybe you look like him. Don't seem that strange to me.

[eyesofaserpent]

The thing is, I don't. I ran into the bloke once. I look nothing like him. Wrong aura and everything.

[And another twin.]

There you are Han, I was looking for you.

[parsecs]

[...she must have been looking for him a long time since Han was pretty sure she was dead. But he's not at all unhappy to be wrong. He gives her a cocky grin.]

Good to see you too, Princess. Didn't realize you missed me so much.

[of_alderaan]

Missed you? I saw you yesterday.

[Raises an eyebrow at the princess thing. Really. She's a jedi now.]

[parsecs]

[And now he looks confused.] ...what?

[of_alderaan]

I was just talking to you yesterday.
