??? Purification...?: The Dark Sun (All across the AU event)

(The sun...that infernal sun is too bright. It hurts Django's eyes to even be this exposed to it. He shouldn't feel this way, but he does. His head is pounding and despite not having any of his vampiric powers, he can feel the darkness engulfing his mind...

...it's too much for him to bear. It was too bright, too cheerful and too happy. His world was dead...he helped it die. To see another world still shine after giving in to evil and surrendering all that made him good...

...he screamed. And he is now going tearing through the entire house in rage and confusion. Nothing is well with the Solar Boy anymore...)

Action: Around Town; morning to afternoon

(The sun...it didn't burn his skin anymore. Without his powers, it couldn't hurt him, but he instinctively drew away from it. Getting through the town without touching the sunlight was proving to be a difficult task, but like an animal, he sticks to the shade. You might want to avoid him, though; he'll only draw back once before attacking you!)

Action: Makeout Point; Night

(The sun...it was finally gone. With the night comes relief and the surfacing of the Solar Boy(?) himself.

Up here in Makeout Point, he could see the moon brightly. He didn't know enjoyment anymore, but he was able to take much more comfort now than under the sunlight. The darkness was his strength now. As uncontrollable as it was for him, it was his power. It didn't matter if he didn't regain it yet; the darkness was all he knew...

...looking up at the night sky, he extended an arm towards the moon, roaring out for the one thing that would stay with him in this altered town, what would linger in his body even when absent: the darkness.)

ANKOOOOOOOOOOKU!

((OOC: Django's now from an AU where instead of avenging his father's death and saving the world, he sided with darkness and became their "Black Sun," helping the villains destroy his own world by terrorizing and killing innocent people and releasing Jormungandr itself to devour everything else. He won't be doing much talking like this, but Django has a much more violent and feral vampire-like behavior without any of the vampire powers. He'll be attacking people on sight, so if you're looking for a fight, here's the post for one! I'm entirely up for Django losing each one, so have fun kicking his ass...unless you want to lose for some reason. o.o))

(Thankfully, Django's not too smart anymore, so provoking him isn't hard at all.

But what do your efforts get from that? Several solar bullets shot right at you. Django learned that as things were, it didn't hurt him to use his gun, so he's going to use it as much as he can.)

[And Sonic is suddenly...and quite painfully in a ball. There is actual audible pain coming from him, as the bolts narrowly miss where he was standing. He unfurls and snarls.]

Coward! Come out and fight like a man!

(NOPE.JPEG He's still going to be firing more shots while he's still unseen. He has to work with what he has, okay?

But after that initial round of shots, he finally reveals himself to Sonic. Just a regular looking kid here, but with a noticeable scowl on his face and a gun in his hands.)

Huh. Just a kid? Don't make me laugh.

[The plus side of the sudden movement is that his adrenaline is running again, blocking a small fraction of his pain.]

You shall pay for attacking the highest member of the Eggman Empire.

[And now, Sonic is charging in, luckily for Django, not nearly as fast as he could potentially be going.]

(Yeah, this kid wouldn't stand a chance if Sonic had his full speed available.

With that said, he does get on all fours, preparing for the attack. Sure, his gun could make things easier, but getting close and confrontational is more AU!Django's style.)

Heh...lower to the ground isn't your best option.

[When he's close enough, Sonic quickly somersaults and lashes out with a sliding kick.]

(Pretty slick, Sonic. Must've been doing moves like that for years.

But his eyes were on you the entire time, so it doesn't catch him completely by surprise. He just barely rolls out of the way, but follows it up with a lunge straight for you. He's intending to claw at you if he catches you, so you should definitely avoid this!)

[Sonic watches as Django dodges, but instead of turning to face him and the lunge, he balls up again, quills out as far as he can get them.]

(Django...was definitely not expecting that. Sadly, it was too late to cancel his attack, so he hurts himself pretty badly by landing on the quills.

He pulls away from Sonic, roaring out from the pain as he tries to remove several of the more troublesome quills. If that's what'll happen, screw getting up close; he draws his solar gun once more to fire at Sonic once again.)

[Sonic manages to get around a few of the shots, but only the later ones, as he's pelted as he tries to face Django. But he's trying to get in close again, running as fast as he can.]

(He doesn't want to take the risk of letting pricked again, so rather than match with a physical attack, Django holds the trigger down on his gun, channeling a wide fan-like spread of solar energy in front of him. It doesn't chase, but it's hovers a close distance in front of him. Careful; it'll hurt just as much as his shots!)

[Sonic skids into the fan, burning himself nicely.]

Fine...you wanna play games...then we'll play.

[He begins to circle just outside the arc of the beam, making sure to stay even if Django decides to turn.]

(Django feels rather accomplished since he got Sonic to lead himself right into the spread. To him, it was like returning the favor from those quills. Several of them were still latched on to Django, but that wasn't important right now.

He's still channeling the beam from his gun, despite Sonic being JUST BARELY out of range. It annoys Django, but he's making sure to follow along to make sure the hedgehog can't sneak any surprises in.)

Same here. I was so disappointed when BN6's stuff was taken out.

[Sonic increases his speed, in an attempt to make Django dizzy.]

To this day I search for a Japanese BN6 with an english patch...

(Looks like the plan is working! His own mind is too derp to realize this at first, but by the time he does, his finger slides off of the trigger and he tries to keep himself stabilized enough so he doesn't fall over...which probably wouldn't be too difficult right now.)

[Sonic grins and stops, leaping over the edge of the beam and aiming a kick for Django's head.]

(And the kick connects! Django gets knocked against a wall and drops his gun along the way. No more beam for the time being! And he's also pretty open to further attack.)

[Sonic slowly recovers from the kick, his legs sore as anything. But he's soon up, stepping over the gun and he goes over to Django, and goes to lift him up by the hair.]

Not the prey you were expecting...was it?

(Not the prey he was expecting at all...it did provide Sonic an element of surprise.

He's still pretty dazed, but if Sonic could grab his hair, that meant he was within arms length and more importantly, striking distance. He'll just try to take advantage of this now and try to dig his fingernails into the hedgehog.)

[He'll catch the scratch right in the belly, but will react with a kick.]

(And that kick hits Django in the gut, effectively knocking the air out of him. With an oof, he'll begin hanging limply from his hair. He's still conscious, but he needs time to recover his breath as he wraps his arms around his stomach. Sonic's kicks are strong, man.)
