07 - [AUField] Destroy All Humans

[A - 2239 Stevens]

[Another day in Mayfield. Hajime is most displeased as he wakes up--he's STILL trapped in Human Undead's form and not his own Joker body. He'd taken that form as a temporary disguise back home, and he had no idea it was going to be forced upon him for such a long time.

Thanks to the needs of this human body, he requires breakfast, so he's in the kitchen attempting to make breakfast...at least until he gets distracted. Continuing to wake up here in Mayfield is such a source of frustration he's smashing most things in the kitchen as he tries to get himself going for the day. Housemates will probably wake up to the sound of breaking dishes or clattering pots and pans.]

[B - Butcher Shop]

[AU or not, Mayfield is still Mayfield, and Hajime would very much like not to get droned...so he's showing up for work today. Unfortunately, he's got a far shorter fuse than usual, and you may or may not get that cut of meat you wanted. His laziness is contributing to the formation of a line complete with a handful of complaining drones, and he can only take so much.

He's just flung a knife at the line. Perhaps he threw it at the drone standing next to you. Perhaps it's flown over the top of your head only to hit the wall behind you. Maybe you've regained superpowers and managed to catch it. Either way...dare you say something to the butcher responsible?]

[C - Around Town]

[Okay, enough work. Hajime is prowling around town, looking for a fight. Any fight. He looks angry...pretty much because he is. Try not to bump into him, because he'll probably punch you unless you're quick. Or go ahead and approach, try to figure out what's got him in such a sour mood.]

[D - Around 2239 Stevens]

[It's late, it's dark out, and Hajime appears to be brooding out in the front yard...and he's just kicked over the trash can for no apparent reason. Approach at your own risk.]

((OOC: Hajime's AU has him embracing his role as the world-destroying Joker Undead and basically left him unable to feel compassion or many emotions outside of his own lust for battle and destruction. He's only satisfied when he's destroying things, and he really hates humans. He'll be a violent brute for the duration of the event. If you've had previous CR with him, feel free to remember it as adjusted to compensate with AU!Hajime being a jerk or if you remember it as it was, he'll just figure he was droned or something that day.))

[Shoutaro is still exploring the town, chuckling as he reads his book.]

So inaccurate.

[He doesn't notice Hajime near him...]

[Hey, it's the kid that calls himself Joker at times and is always running around with his nose buried in some book. Hajime doesn't like you. He doesn't like anyone, really, but you're on the special list of people he dislikes more. You don't seem to notice Hajime walking towards you...

...so Hajime will shift his path slightly in an attempt to roughly shoulder-check you as you walk by.]

[Shoutaro'll get shoved and drop the book...into a puddle.]

Such a waste.

[He'll pick it up, the pages ruined. Frowning, he'll turn to Hajime.]

Joker Undead. What was the purpose of that contact? I have done nothing to instigate this kind of behavior.

[Oh, good, a little minor destruction of that book.]

You exist. It's enough for me.

I am not part of your Battle Royal. You have no qualm with me. Save your aggression for the other Undead.

I have qualms with all of Human Undead's children.

And did you honestly think calling yourself Joker would allow you to escape my notice?

I am merely borrowing Raito's moniker while the town decides that I must use his memory. And the Earth decided that name, not us.

I don't care why you're using that name. I'm the only Joker there is.

[He's quite clearly tensing up for an attack of some sort, watch out.]

Remember that most card decks contain more than one Joker.

[JOKER]

[Shoutaro can see the tension, and is prepared to defend himself. In fact...there's the driver on his waist.]

But in any battle, there can be only one winner--and that is me. I am the strongest.

[Oh, how Hajime wished for his proper form to be returned to him...his own belt is appearing around his waist, but he's not transforming just yet. Instead, he's rushing at Shoutaro with the intent to punch him while still human. He's possibly just trying to keep Shoutaro off-balance...or possibly just getting ahead of himself.]

[Shoutaro tsks, and quickly sidesteps, plunging his memory into the driver.]

Henshin.

[He'll keep his distance for now, cupping his chin with his left hand.]

So...time to count up your sins.

[Hajime makes a noise that's somewhere between a chuckle and a growl.]

I don't think so.

[And with that, he'll flick his Category Ace through his belt, transforming into Chalice. He wastes no time in rushing at Shoutaro.]

You complain about people using your name, but you have no qualms about using others forms. Interesting.

[Shoutaro will lean down just before Chalice can reach him, in an attempt to throw him.]

[That gets an irritated growl from him.]

I have rightfully taken this power--I can use it as I wish. It'll do until the town returns me my proper form.

[That throwing attempt will be successful, and this causes Chalice to make a definite "angry monster" noise. His battle frenzy is starting to build--he likely won't be in any state to hold a conversation for too much longer.]

[Shoutaro spins around, ready for the next strike. His stance would be better suited towards fighting as FangJoker, holding his left arm up.]

[Hajime seemingly takes no notice of the changed stance, even though he does remember fighting Shoutaro before...in an actual battle, not a sparring match. He's not thinking this fight through well at all. He's charging Shoutaro again, clearly intending to throw another punch at Shoutaro's head.]

[Shoutaro tenses up, whipping his lower arm up to block the punch, and lashing out with his elbow towards Chalice's head.]

[The punch is successfully blocked and Hajime takes that elbow to the head, making him back off a bit. He snarls a bit at that, and it seems like he's going to back off...

...but instead, he abruptly jumps into the air. Flying kick heading your way, Shoutaro.]

[OK...wasn't expecting that at all, and takes it directly to the chest. He'll skid for a second, but spin into a crouch. He's waiting...]

[Hajime interprets the waiting and the crouch as a sign that he's weakened his foe, and he's rushing in there in the hopes of landing a two-fisted punch to Shoutaro's head.]

[Shotaro grins, his hand back at his chin. When Chalice is close enough, he launches into a low version of the Fang Streiser.]

[The attack sends Chalice crashing into a tree. He's clearly angry; he's making a few Joker growling noises as he picks himself up. If he wasn't thinking clearly before, he's certainly not now. He gives another war cry as he launches himself at Shotaro in another wild attack.]

This is getting bad.

[Shoutaro has no choice but to dodge the incoming attack, but is quickly being backed into a corner.]

[At this point, Hajime's beyond reason; he's closing in as much as he can and repeatedly swinging at Shoutaro with a series of wild, unrelenting punches. The fact that many of these punches are accompanied by a snarl or a growl is probably not reassuring.]

[Shoutaro is getting battered, getting clipped every time he's too late to block.]

I...need to...get loose...

[In desperation, he blocks off two punches and lurches forward with his head.]
