[Anyone who drops by the dairy between the hours of three PM and five PM on Tuesday will find that the door's been unlocked. Even though the door's shut, there's a strange humming sound coming from inside the building.

Careful if you want to try to peek inside, though. You may not like what you find.]

Saber furrows her brow, and sneaks a look in the direction they're heading.]

[There's a machine in the corner giving off a faint glow. There's a handwritten sign on it saying Do Not Touch]

That's... just begging people to touch it.

[Hakuno doesn't, though. She also takes note of the faint glow surrounding the machine.]

Looks like some kind of barrier. [She turns to her Servant.] Think we should try breaking through it?

[Saber gives an enthusiastic nod; she took a rather perverse sort of pleasure in contradicting unsubstantiated commands, after all.]

Naturally. [Her expression darkens for a moment.] However, allow me to do so. This might well be a trap, after all.

[Aaaaaand with that? She reaches out to touch the machine; slowly, as though expecting to meet supernatural resistance at any moment.]

[There is a forcefield that prevents her from touching the machine; it's solid and warm to the touch.]

[Even though there was no violent reaction so far, Hakuno still takes a few steps back.]

What do you think? Would it be too risky trying to attack it?

[Saber shrugs, running a finger over the forcefield.]

I cannot tell. The barrier is solid; it seems unlikely that it will retaliate if struck. [...] There is always the chance that the device itself is... volatile, though.

[She flips the curved blade around in her hands, and finally settles into a ready position.]

...please brace yourself, Praetor.

[And, a moment after issuing that warning, she delivers a great hammerblow to the shield... and, hopefully, to the device beneath it. Her strength is great, but mortal; likewise, her weapon is sturdy - and weighty enough to carry a great deal of force - but it was a mundane sort of thing.
