event: break-in
[Anyone who drops by the dairy between the hours of three PM and five PM on Tuesday will find that the door's been unlocked. Even though the door's shut, there's a strange humming sound coming from inside the building.
Careful if you want to try to peek inside, though. You may not like what you find.]

But by God, if he can't still be an annoyance or waste time.]

Unfortunately, Susan is in no mood for fun and games this time around. Something may catch the Major's attention out of the corner of his eye, but when he turns, he will be confronted with rather boring scenery.
She would mess with him if she weren't above such petty nonsense. ...Oh, wait, no, there goes his hat. Must have been the wind. Susan heads inside the dairy, quite calm.]

But it wasn't supernatural, not by any means, and he has no idea that Susan was herself there. Has no reason to believe that what knocks his hat from his head is anything more than a stray gust of wind that knocks his hat from his head.
He picks it up. And slowly, turns and looks at the Dairy entrance.
And grins.
A coincidence, to be sure.]

[The Doctor can't resist a quip.]

[The Major grins a bit, still sitting on the hood of the car.]
Fancy a new limp, Doctor?

Though, this time, things might go a bit differently. No Grady power to back you up, I'm afraid. Ball's no longer in your court as they might say.
no subject
I think that would just make things more interesting, to be honest.

It is an officer's duty to uphold the law.
And it seems like there might be those busy trying to break the law today, does it not?

[She would like to see someone else try though, just to see how things are done around here.]
Can I watch?
no subject
I don't see why not!

Oh.
I expect this is just the beginning of a very big thing.

[She peers at the dairy, wondering what it had to do with what's going on.]

I should have known I might find you here.
[Don't look now, there's a 9mm aimed for your head, Major. Intrigue had brought Integra around to the dairy, but it wasn't a lack of bravery that kept her from investigating further- with even half the town intending to take a look, she was not at all eager to wind up crushed should something go awry.
Now, it seems, she has something greater to deal with.]
no subject
Ah, you know me too well Integra! Indeed, indeed I was hoping you might come and watch with me.
[His eyes narrow a little bit, his face a pantomime of cruel, schoolboy pleasure.]
You never did answer on the phone.
Enjoying the cigars?

It would be a shame to waste them. How long did you keep the ruse going? Since I was a child?
no subject
My, how long indeed!
I suppose it may be something you never get an answer too! A pity, but that is life!

[Her index finger, gloved in charcoal grey to match her coat, squeezes off the trigger.]
no subject
It doesn't matter. It's been so long since their last duel. He's missed it.]

One might argue the most important battle of the day lies between the townspeople and whatever forces they might encounter in the dairy, but this moment, right now, is a battle between giants.]
no subject
But at the moment, that's gone. At the moment, all there is is himself, and Integra and gunfire. And that's all he needs, as he stares down his archnemesis from home, caught in another fight perhaps not as important as their duel in England, but a matter of entertainment - no, of satisfaction, none the less.
The Major jerks a bit as one of the shots hits his chest, the bullet creating the sound of metal scraping against metal as it hits. It forces him back for a moment, but not enough to really be a killing blow.
He smiles, walking forward slowly, although awkwardly from the damage that was done, as he continues to fire.]

When she faced the Major before, Integra let herself be drawn in, fueled by outrage, by anger. It cost her an eye then. This time as he advances Sir Hellsing retreats, scurrying behind the fender of the Great family car while she patiently reloads, exchanging an empty magazine for a fresh one.]
Your aim hasn't much improved, Major!
[She calls out, watching his reflection in the chrome bumper. He hasn't been that far off the mark, either- there are bullet holes in the flowing skirt of her ulster.]
