[Like most other Mayfield residents who were present for the last census, Miakis found herself worrying about what the town had in store for everyone this year. She couldn't think of anything worse than being ordered to kill each other, but she knows Mayfield can do it.

So imagine her relief when she discovers that there are no orders to kill each other this time around. Then imagine her complete and utter joy that she gets to prank everyone instead! Being her birthday, this April Fools thing was pretty much made for her, so screw it, she is going to enjoy herself for once.

After spending some time scoping out her targets, she sets to work gathering supplies and making her plans.]

[For April - 918 Bilko Boulevard]

[Pranking is so much more fun when it's someone you know - doubly so when it's someone you like! And although this is Miakis, who can be somewhat relentless in her jokes and trolling, she's elected to go easy on April, just this once. First thing in the morning, she sneaks over to her friend's house and hides in the bushes, watching and waiting. As soon as she's confident the house is empty, she sneaks in through a window with her supplies and sets to work.

When April comes home from work, she'll open the door to find that the living room is filled with balloons!

Miakis, who is waiting in the bushes again to see her reaction, has also left a note on the door: "Hope this lifts your mood! ♥"]

[For Olivier - Annie's Flowers]

[As with April, Miakis is delighted that some of her targets are people she knows. This makes the process fun and easy!

She's taking a heavy risk with this one, but THE PRIIIIIIIIIZE she just can't resist. She knows Olivier's pocketwatch is important to her, so the idea comes easily to her: wait for her to be distracted, and swap it out with a kiddie watch she found at the store. All she has to do is wait for the right moment...]

Heeeey, Major General~ [She puts on her most innocent face.] Those daisies over there look kinda wilted. I could use a second opinion, if you don't mind!

[For Clover - 456 Stone Street]

[Alas, pranking is a touch more difficult when it's a stranger. But Miakis always welcomes a challenge~

She decides to go with a classic this time. Late at night, after she's sure everyone's fallen asleep, she sneaks into the house and seeks out Clover's room, taking great care not to make any noise. She's had enough experience with midnight prank raids like this that she knows the consequences quite well. And any Queen's Knight worth her salt won't let the enemy know that she's coming.

She exhales quietly when she finally makes it to Clover's bedroom and finds the girl asleep. She fits the description the drones gave her - good. Now, to find her shoes and sneak them back outside. Shouldn't be too hard.]

[When Miakis gets home from a full day of pranking, there's an admittedly simple-looking chocolate cake and a Lyon waiting for her in the kitchen.]

I'm hooooooooooooooooome~

[Miakis bursts in, skips into the kitchen for a snack, only to find one waiting for her! She peers at it curiously. Lyon doesn't have a tricksy bone in her body, she knows, but with the town engaged in a prank war...

Wait, what is she thinking. It's Lyon.]

Hmmm, what's all this?

[sparkling_eyes]

Don't tell me you were so excited about playing tricks on people that you forgot your own birthday, Miakis!

[dwaggies]

I forgot my--?

[Miakis glances at the calendar, raises her eyebrows at the date, and giggles.]

Oh, it looks like I did! How about that~

[sparkling_eyes]

Right, so I thought I'd try baking a cake. I hope it turned out well.

[dwaggies]

I didn't think anyone would remember, so I kinda forgot too, heeeeh~

[With that, she fetches some utensils and plates and starts carving out slices; one for each of them.]

Thanks, Lyon~ [She sets both plates down and digs in.] Pranks and cake. Today can't get any better!

So how did it go?

Not bad, not bad! Hit most of my targets pretty easily. [She puffs a bit. TROLL PRIDE YEAH] That's to be expected from someone as great as me, of course~

Who did you get as targets? Anyone I know?

[Lyon smiles, relaxing a little as she takes a bite of cake. She's really just glad she wasn't involved in this.]

[When April walked into her house, she was not expecting to get a face full of balloons. Her shock quickly disappears though, as she smiles and giggles at the note on the door.

Looks like the prank worked, Miakis!]

[Annnnnd Miakis pops up out of her hiding spot and joins April at the door, joining in on her giggles.]

[April blinks at Miakis, and then her smile brightens.]

Aha, so it was you, Miakis!

... And thanks, it did life my mood.

Did it?

[That seems to perk her up a bit. Coming back to Mayfield is never easy - Miakis knows this from experience - so she figured April could use something like this to cheer her up.]

I'm glad! I thought something like this would be better than, I dunno, filling your underwear drawer with spiders~ [...which may or may not have been Plan B.]

456 Stone Street

[Meanwhile, Clover is having sweet dreams of... okay, they probably aren't sweet at all, just the usual dream weirdness that makes all kinds of sense when you're actually experiencing it and not a lick of it after you wake up.

Anyway, her shoes should be right by her bed.]

[dwaggies]

[All right, so far so good! Miakis tiptoes veeeery carefully across the room, thanking the True Runes and the sun above that the shoes are in plain sight, and snatches them up. Then, just as slowly and cautiously, she backs out toward the door, holding her breath all the while. Stay asleep, Clover. B|]

[SUDDENLY, A SNORT.

... Ahh, but Clover is still asleep.]

[dwaggies]

[Miakis freezes in place when Clover snorts, willing the girl to stay asleep and possibly hoping that she can become invisible if she wishes hard enough.

But the girl never wakes, thank goodness. She exhales and continues tip-toeing out, gently shutting the door, and makes her way outside.

There, she hangs the shoes from the branches of a tree out front. When she's satisfied, she heads home for the night - she'll be back in the morning to see the look on Clover's face. B)]

[And the next morning...

Well, surely, that's not true, sincere murder in Clover's eyes as she glares out the window. She's just sleepy.

Also, she sort of wants to believe she's still asleep.]

At Home

[Lym is in the basement, but sitting on the couch, in simple wrapping paper is a small box with a label reading 'For Miakis' sitting there looking unassuming and harmless]

[dwaggies]

[Miakis picks up the box and looks it over curiously. She doesn't open it right away; instead, she turns it around in her hands, shakes it, and generally checks it for tomfoolery. One can never be too careful on a day like today, after all!

After a moment, she looks around to see if the gift-giver is anywhere nearby.]

Hm? Anyone hoooome?

[She doesn't wait long for a response, though, and slowly starts to tear the box open.]

[She walks over.]

Which ones?

These! [She skips over to a display of flowers that are, in fact, looking a little sad. One hand is casually held behind her back as she gestures toward the offending daisies.] D'ya think we can save them, oooooor...?

Maybe they're low on water or need more sunlight.

[She looks closer to inspect the container they're in.]
