[ For a former Jedi to be placed in the workplace is mundane at best. Even being a Jedi had never truly been an actual 'job', but a way of life. For The Negotiator, it was his life. And the man he had considered his brother destroyed that.

And now that man is here. And for the first time in... weeks, Obi-Wan finds himself uncertain as to how to handle this. But it's not something to bring to the workplace, so... he's just at his desk, frowning loosely over papers.]

[ How far to have fallen.

How many times had he debated, back on Tatooine, to pay a visit to a cantina, and toss back a few drinks, simply to 'drown his sorrows' as most would put it?

Thinking of young Luke would prevent him from that. Here, Luke isn't quite so young.

And seeing Anakin...

Too emotionally invested, Master Kenobi. Master Yoda would not approve.]

Blast it. [This comes out as a mutter, before he tosses back a good portion of his drink. Be warned, he's had a few already.]

[As there are few, ah, real bar patrons here, he glances over.] You appear troubled.

[She raises an eyebrow at the glasses on his table.]

At the office

[ There's a soft knock at the office door before said door opens. Ilsa is carrying a small tray, with some files tucked under her arm. ]

Morning. [ She sets the tray on his right side, in a space that fits it. The tray holds a cup of tea with an arrangement of lemon wedges and sugar cubes on a small saucer. ] I figured you to be more of a man for tea than coffee, but we can fix that if not.

[mediations]

[ He looks up, and graces her with his old, gentle smile. ] Tea is lovely, Ilsa. Thank you for this.

[ooeeooahah]

[ She places the file on his left. ] One of the things I can do without causing too many problems. The file is one you'll probably get to know well. They seem to assign the same few case to each of the lawyers in rotation.

[Corran's a nightly visitor. Not only is a tavern a good place for information but, hey, fighter pilot traditions run deep. He grabs a seat with Obi-Wan.]

You seem a little troubled, Ben.

How could you tell?

As much as the Force would be helpful, I'd say it was commonsense.

[Asks the bartender who's looking more than a little worn down himself.]

When is there not? [ He fixes the bartender with a look. ] Though you appear fairly troubled yourself.

It isn't. Tonight, however, I have made an exception.

Cap for your thoughts? You're looking waaay too serious. Though I guess the booze here ain't that good though...

[ That earns a light 'oof' of surprise from him, before he clears his throat. ] It certainly doesn't possess the same kick as the stuff back home. [...because he did sample at a cantina. Briefly.]

Tell me about it! Just something about home makes the booze better, you know? Still, it definitely nice to some degree! Got lots of stuff they don't got back in the Wastes.

[Guy muttering to himself and knocking back drinks? That's how Theo rolls every night. He knows this feeling.]

Too bad the booze here sucks, too. [So he says, and knocks back the rest of his wineglass.]

[The Captain is there, drinking and looking as miserable as always.

He hears the guy and holds up his drink.]

Yeah, blast it, or whatever the ☠☠☠☠.

[Then knocks his drink back. Ordering himself a new one and also ordering one for Obiw-Wan.]

So, you just get here or is something else ☠☠☠☠ with your day?

[ Well, here's quite the sight as Ambrosia decides to pay for her drink - non-alcoholic, of course - and goes over to sit next to Obi-Wan.

She tips her hat a bit, giving him a slight smile. ]

Dobra fer yer thoughts, mate?

[mediations]

[ It appears several are willing to offer a helpful ear tonight. He sighs, and smiles faintly. ] I think that all depends.

[Well, there's a new face. Crowley is the winged, sunglassed bartender who's just popped up behind the bar after a nap. He doesn't recognize the obviously troubled fellow at the bar and so sidles on over.]
