3rd Purification: Ghost Buster Django (Mood slime day 3)

(Day three of this madness and Django here has been doing battle with it since. It's on this day that Dr. Egon developed something to battle the effects of the angry slime, leaving the solar boy all too willing to help.

...okay, now to the good part. You'll probably see this guy speeding through the streets of Mayfield on his sexy new bike with his long, red scarf flowing in the wind. And yes, his bike has guns attached to it; guns that shoot solar bullets! He's also shooting down ghosts with his own solar gun, so anyone can see that this guy is on a mission.

He also has a vacuum cleaner provided by Dr. Egon to help him with his work. Overall, Django is looking totally badass as he makes short work of the ghosts while spraying happy slime on anyone with angry slime. You'll see him on the road as he slowly, but surely gets the done.)

Perhaps so, but at least we possess weapons that can harm them at all; we can still be thankful for that.

I don't reckon lead bullets that ain't charged with photons would do much against 'em.

(Yes they do especially in his canon. Django twirls his solar gun about in a similar fashion.)

Even if it just slows them down, it still counts for something.

(And then proceeds to blasting several of the nearby ghosts LIKE A BOSS)

Do y'know if this is th' town's doin'? I was expectin' somethin' to happen back on that there St. Patrick's Day holiday, aside from th' drones spreadin' th' "holiday cheer."

This was because of a container Dr. Egon had that accidentally opened up. He needed volunteers to help remove the angry slime with happy slime, so I quickly jumped to the task. It may not be Mayfield's doing, but I'm sure it's laughing at everyone else's expense.

... And th' zombie outbreak.

I suppose so; it's unfortunate that the other captives can also cause disastrous events, but sadly we don't have a say in the matter. At least we can fight against this one.

True enough.

Even if we're dealin' with hostile things that ain't alive, I don't think these ghosts're as nearly as bad as that other outbreak was.

I think I was brought here after that; how bad was the other outbreak?

Th' outbreak was caused by some kinda pathogen. Easily transmitted; if ya got bit an' you were some kinda organic creature, it'd turn you into one of them.

[Sending some danmaku suppressive fire down range at a gaggle of ghosts.]

Since all it took was gettin' some of th' infected's body fluids in your system, it spread like wildfire. By th' time th' person responsible warned th' town about what was goin' on, a lotta drones were already infected.

Oh...I'm sorry to hear that. It must've been terrible.

Yeah. Anyone who wasn't a drone was jus' as fair game, an' from what'd I seen—it left you mostly th' same as you were, 'cept you'd start actin' like one of them.

I got bit, but since I ain't organic that pathogen couldn't take me ... like it did other folks.

[Preferring not to mention it happened to his coworker since Dakki didn't really like the idea of publicly discussing it, back with that one phone call with Lucas.]

It must've been terribly traumatic...

...I suppose having armor like that must come in very handy.

(Oh, how Django could benefit from CAST armor...He's practically a ranger already; guns and swords!)

One of th' folks who got converted into them zombies bit hard enough to get through th' carbonan suit under these here parts. Drew "blood," too.

Still, having an extra layer or two of protection can't hurt.

[Gat glances up and to the side. HIs hand's already in motion, as the Maggac twirls rapidly about his trigger finger. The photon reactor almost looks like a glowstick, with how fast he's twirling it. Then a second later, he grabs the Maggac's grip and hoses down several ghosts that were about to flank Django.]

—what do these here ghosts got to do with th' slime anyhow?

(And it's an intense battle with the two cowboys practically back to back while taking on the surrounding waves of ghosts. Django holds down the trigger and releases a solar spread to purify the ghosts getting to close to Gatt.)

Perhaps it's clorofolun? Ghosts and undead often secrete such fluids in my world; they're always capable of adverse effects.
