[Makoto was really comfortable in bed for a little while there, not really realizing that she shouldn't even be in a bed. And as she rose from the bed, she didn't really catch onto that fact until she was hanging her legs over the edge of the bed and was rubbing her eyes. Yeah, that was when she realized something was fishy about her surroundings. Once she got her bearings, she would have panicked about it if she didn't know better than that.

So, she moves to stand up and walk around a bit to investigate, when she realized that her balance felt waaaay off. Almost like her tail was--] Huh!? [Now she was going to panic and kind of yell in the horror of missing her tail.]

[Action B: John Doe Park]

[After getting the gist of what was going on around this place, Makoto didn't really want to stay cooped up in the house trying to figure out what to do. A good walk never hurt anyone, and maybe she'd come up with some sort of idea of how to fix the situation she got herself stuck with. Not that much was coming to mind. So there she was, just wandering through the park aimlessly, looking pretty down.

Half of that was that she definitely didn't ask to be human.]

[Phone]

[It's not until way later that she attempts to use the phone. This definitely isn't the first time that Makoto's been exposed to a phone like this, but it's definitely one of the first times she's had to use one. And she is probably going to end up making this as awkward as possible because of it.]

Uh... Am I doing this right? Pretty sure I am, I think! Heeeeelloooooo?

[She's still kind of bothered by the whole human thing to bother with trying to be all official and professional. Or say much of anything else right now.]

Yes, you are using this device correctly. I would congratulate you if not for how insufferably ridiculous one must be to use a phone to simply ask if they are using it properly. [Though this voice is vaguely familiar... She'll figure it out in a second okok.]

[Helping people. That sounded like a good plan and the Jedi thing to do. And this person looked like they needed some help.]

Hey....you seem a little lost.

[Tsubaki knows your feels, Makoto. Just today she woke up in the bed of a stranger and has no idea where she was. It didn't even look like Kagutsuchi, or any place she had ever been. No cities built on levels, so much clean air -- it was bizarre.

So now she's here in the park too, sitting down on a bench. She sees Makoto from afar, but doesn't even recognize who she is. So, she says nothing, and keeps herself sitting still and trying to keep calm.]

Hey! It was my first time using this, so I had to be sure! You don't have to be a jerk about it! [The voice and manner of speech are pretty familiar to Makoto too, but she can't quite place it.]

Geez, that's a relief. I dunno what I'd do if I messed something like this up. Thought I did for a minute there.

[Makoto, being kind of lost in her thoughts, almost jumped when spoken to. She wasn't expecting anyone to stop and talk to her, but it wasn't unwelcome. She gives a bit of a soft smile.]

Yeah, guess you could say something like that.

[Makoto was more than happy trying to ignore anyone she passed while going through the park, trying to keep to herself as she tried figuring out what to do about the whole situation. It wasn't a pleasant one, and she was suddenly human. It's kind of like having your identity taken from you, in a way.

But as much as she tried to ignore those around her, she couldn't really ignore that familiar red hair in the distance. And when she spots who that hair belongs to, she can't keep quiet about it.] Tsubaki!?

[For a moment, Tsubaki thinks she's hallucinating. She opens her eyes and, knowing it's Makoto's voice, darts her eyes around to find her friend. It takes her a moment to realize that the girl with brown hair from not too far away is actually Makoto. ...A very tail-less Makoto.]

Ma...Makoto? [She stands up from the bench.] Makoto, is that you?!

Something like that? How do you get somewhat lost?

I see nothing "jerk"-like in what I just said; it was simply the truth.

[There's a good point in that.] You could've at least worded it a little nicer.

Ohhhh... Let's just go with pretty lost, then.

Good enough. I'm Corran Horn. What can I do to help?

[Tail-less or not, Makoto is so happy to see Tsubaki. Even here, she's just so elated to see her that she is actually momentarily forgetting that she is missing her beastkin features. Just long enough to show how happy she is.]

Tsubaki! Yeah, it's me! [Anything really important that she wants to say to her friend can wait, because she's running full-speed ahead for a hug.]

[This guy was pretty nice. It's a relief.] An idea on how to deal with this place would be a good start.

Unfortunately, I have found that holding back on my words to be "nicer" is quite useless and pointless at that.

[And Tsubaki is crushed at full speed by Makoto's strong hug. Yeah, it's definitely Makoto. And Tsubaki happily returns the hug with a large smile of her own. Just when she thought she had gone crazy and the world was ending, one of her friends was here with her now. One she hadn't seen since graduating the Academy.]

Makoto! I'm so happy to see you, it feels like it's been so long! [She doesn't know what's going on or why she's in this bizarre place, but Makoto being here makes her feel a lot better.]

Suck it up is the only thing I've seen and heard so far. I'm pretty new to this place too and that's the general gist I've gotten from others.

I think you've got that backwards. Being nicer's never pointless and useless.

Suck it up? [That sounds a little familiar.] How are people expecting me to do that when I'm not supposed to look like... well, this!

[And she is pointing to her behind. Yes. She is pointing right at it. There is no way Corran would have any idea what she means by that.]

...are you trying to say you ate too many tubers or what? This is one of those trick questions, isn't it.

The telephone is quite easy, really, though it's strange how the operator seems to calla lot of people at once for you. Then again, I was surprised I actually did get an operator. Thought they were doing away with those.

[It has felt like it's been forever since the two saw each other, and Makoto hasn't been hearing the best things back home. At this rate, Makoto wasn't going to let up on that hug, but that's because she felt so much happier with someone she recognized.]

You have no idea how much of a relief it is to see you, Tsubaki! It's been forever, and... this place is total sucksville so far!

Y'know... that is kinda strange. Had no idea that they could even call that many people at once!
