Three Wildebeest
[Action - Mayfield High]
[So Simba's quickly learning that animals are not allowed inside any of the buildings around Mayfield. But stubborn curiosity has kept him going as he's determined to see what they're keeping secret from him. Obviously it's something that he's not meant to see, otherwise why else would they chase him out every time he tries to snoop around? And his exploring eventually leads him to outside the school, a place where he definitely hasn't been yet.
After waiting by a nearby tree, it dawns on him how he's going to get inside. He crouches down and sneaks closer to a group of drone kids, one of them that has set his backpack down in order talk to some of his friends. While the drone's distracted, Simba crawls into the backpack and waits. Eventually, as the bell rings the drones disperse and the drone boy picks up his bag - only to find it much heavier for some weird reason.]
Oof! I didn't remember packing this many books this morning!
[But since the kid is a drone, he doesn't question it much and hauls that heavy backpack to class. However, as he gets to class and gets settled in, his bag seems to be...twitching? As soon as the kid reaches down to open his backpack for his notebook, Simba scrambles out before he can get caught.
There is now a lion in the school.
And he's currently sneaking into classrooms, lunchrooms, the teacher's lounge, and wherever else he thinks he can get to without being caught.
Do you want to try catching him?]

A lion is not among those things. He sets his book down and focuses his attention on the new, strange thing. Since it is just a cub, he doesn't seem too afraid and actually gets up from his desk. He peers at Simba with an odd sort of curiosity.]
Now just where did you come from? I don't imagine one of the children owns a lion now, do they?

Shhh! You're gonna get me caught!

So...you can talk. I'm not going to throw you out of here, so don't worry about that...I'm much more interested in what you're doing here at all.

-woah, he's fast! Well, it's now or never, solar boy. As stupid as this may be, he's going to turn around and try picking up the little lion cub. Is Simba too fast to be caught that easily?)

You know, most kids would try to stay out of school. If you wanted to join a class, you could've just asked.

Was that a tail?
Sighing, he puts his pen down and stands up. He closes the door, then puts his hands on his hips as he stands in front of it.]
I don't have time to play games. Come out.

I-I was just leaving! I just wanted to know what was in here!
no subject
You could have just asked. I'm sure the drones wouldn't have noticed. [He steps away from the door to have a better look.]

What are you doing in here? This is the girls' bathroom!

> lion
....despite quickly slipping around the nearest corner to better surreptitiously observe, Mami is barely fazed by this point. Still, since this is Mayfield, there's a good chance the cub's not an ordinary animal - either in the sense of being as intelligent as a human, or as some new monstrosity meant to terrorize everyone. The latter seems more and more unlikely the longer she watches....but no point in taking chances.
Her ring glimmers faintly as she carefully approaches from behind.]
There's nothing worth seeing in the teacher's lounge, you know.

Wait, don't kick me out!
no subject
I'm not going to, unless you start nibbling on people.
[After a long moment, she settles back on her haunches, bringing herself down to Simba's level.]
....although I was hoping that wouldn't be the case.

(School)
Good thing Simba's just a cub, or Sniper just might have shot first and ask questions later. Instead, he's set up a series of traps all over the place--some of them are fairly obvious cages and the like, others more subtle pits. All of them are baited with freshly prepared raw meat.)
(School)
The first thing that Simba comes across is one of the cages. He cautiously sniffs around it trying to figure out what exactly it's supposed to be used for.]
