[Today, Mayfield - you may notice a certain idiot running off of rooftops, jumping to his imminent doom. If only because he was trying to whistle to get his bird...

Except he forgot that his magic bird sensing power was on the fritz. For those who have some sort of fourth walling capabilities, feel free to see (and hear) his hearts going from twenty to eighteen.]

[Link has a stick! And he's practicing his sword skills on a tree. But after a while, he'll just roll into the tree. This is obviously a good plan.]

[ anywhere there is grass ]

[And Link over here will be using a small knife, cutting off grass. He then says to himself:] ... Huh, no money here either.

[At least, before he goes back to cutting more grass!]

[Link stops for a bit, puts his small knife in his pocket before nodding. Whatever you want, Link will try to do it!]

Could you dig right here for me?

[She daintily stamps her hoof on the ground in front of her.]

Just for a few feet. It isn't buried very deep.

[Link smiles and nods again! He can do it!

Except not with a knife. He'll check his ADVENTURE PACK for a shovel, but alas, he doesn't have one. Uh, how is he supposed to dig now? Link stares at Rarity, confused.]

Ah, I see. Lack of appropriate tools. Well, that is a problem, now, isn't it? I wonder if there's any gardening equipment lying about...

[The young hero gives a sheepish laugh before darting away! He's kind of glad he doesn't have his stamina gauge back yet before he goes around to the back of a house to find a shovel.

He can totally do this.]

Oh, good, you found one! Right there, if you would.

[She indicates the particular patch of ground again.]

Just a few feet down.

[He smiles before nodding. And then it's time to dig! Thankfully, Link knows how to use a shovel.]

[After a few good digs with the shovel, Rarity holds up a hoof.]

All right, that should be deep enough.

[Her horn glows momentarily, causing some dirt to shift at the bottom of the shallow hole Link has just dug for her. Seconds later, a diamond ring comes floating up out of the hole. Rarity seems incredibly pleased with this.]

Got it!

[Item get! Link stares at the ring in awe, saying softly:] It’s a pretty ring.

Yes, it is, isn't it?

[She's caught up in admiring it for a few seconds too long before she realizes that she should probably compensate this child somehow for his assistance.]

Oh, how rude of me! I'm sorry! I really should find some way of showing my gratitude for your assistance...

[Which, of course, doesn't include just giving him the ring. Even though he's the one who did the digging.]
