I'm sorry for any trouble that happened! And I'm sorry if I hit you! Unless you're Holanda or Inglaterra. I don't know if those two are still causing trouble but if they are, it's okay to punch them. Really.

But, ah. . . you can have your town back if you want. I don't really want it. ( A pause as he considers keeping the town or not. ) Hm, yes, I'm sure I don't want it. And since I claimed the entire town that includes the streets everyone else took away, right?

Everyone else gave everything back, right? And what are we going to do about the mess?

3. Mayfield Elementary

( Today, your cheerful teacher arrives to class rather late. You probably spend the first half of the day with a drone substitute teacher. When you return from lunch, Spain is back though, albeit, looking a tad beat up from the weekend! But he's cleaned up well so the class won't worry. )

What did I miss?

4. Around town

( Even though the effects of the candy have worn off, whenever Spain sees a poster or sign posted by one of the other nations (most notably, England or Netherlands) he tears it down and continues walking as if nothing happened. )

I do hope you have an interesting lesson planned, at the very least.

( It's siesta time. You would know this if you came to class more. )

[if he knew a siesta was built into class he really would have come more often... AS THINGS ARE he just looks incredibly skeptical.]

How many people in this class outside of the drones are actually at an age where naps are required? It seems like a waste of time. [shrug!] But if that's all we're doing, I'll excuse myself. [what is teacher permission]

( Lunch, siesta, recess, and passive-aggressive Spanish are the main parts of the day, it's true. )

Ay, wait a moment, wait a moment! ( Going to try and cut him off from getting to the door. ) You could get in trouble if you leave now.

Will I? [well, he stops moseying toward the door, at least...] Strange, I've never gotten into trouble for leaving class before.

Well. . . yes! Wait, really? ( And he mumbles something under his breath along the lines of, "how impressive" in Spanish. )

All right. How about. . . you stay for ten more minutes. If I can't convince you to stay, you can leave.

Yes, really. [he looks quite pleased about that...

also, feigning a look of contemplation.]

...All right, ten minutes sounds fair enough. [whoops sorry drone kid nearest to the door, were you actually using that seat? apparently Charles has decided that they are not, and proceeds to pick them up and set them down in the seat behind. gotta be close to the door for when those ten minutes are up...!]

( Spain first has to find the drone a new seat which takes a few seconds to do. When he returns, it takes longer for him to think of what to say. )

[by the time Spain returns, he's already adopted a somewhat bored-looking pose, propping his chin up on the desk with one hand.]

Ah! So you're the mystery student. Bien, I was beginning to worry. Where have you been all of this time?

Mystery student? I haven't been absent that often. [ignoring... the fact that this is his first time actually sitting in a class in like a year.....]

I spend most of my time in the music room.

. . . Will you be there tomorrow too?

Most likely, yes. I do hope it won't be much of a problem.

( There's another thoughtful pause and he nods his head as if to confirm something that hasn't been said yet. )

No, it won't be a problem. Do you play any of the instruments in there?

[he arches a brow at the nod, but doesn't question anything about it.]

The piano and the violin, yes. -Ah, well, technically the violin is from elsewhere, but I believe they have one or two practise ones in the music room here.

Ah! The piano! ( His eyes light up. Yes, this is where all of those decades stuck with Austria can finally pay off. ) What kind of songs do you play? Do you have any favorites?

[well that hadn't been a reaction he expected... but enthusiasm for music is always a plus in his book, and he looks a little more interested immediately.]

Classical music on a whole is the genre I'm most appreciative of, though I've been partial to Erik Satie's pieces as of late.

( France you bastard stop getting all of the attention. )

Well, France is like a second home to me. I'm more familiar with French composers than most others. There are some English composers that I enjoy very much as well, of course.

There are other good composers too! Like. . . in Spain.

You know? Right across the boarder, over the mountains. It's a nice place, really.

Spain is one of the few countries in Europe I haven't been to, actually. [are the shattering bits of his heart audible yet]

But I do like some Spanish composers. Antonio Soler has several good pieces, yes?
