So, since he's a little shy, I'm calling to let everyone know that Pope Alessandro is going to have a meeting this afternoon in the Park to talk to those of us that believe in non-Christian faiths. He wants to understand the other religions out there, like Buddhism, Shinto or some others, like any good religious leader should do!

So, come down to the Park at 3pm and talk to the Pope. Maybe everyone will get some understanding out of this.

[Marisa had picked Alessandro up from his house in the car and drove him to the park. Now the two of them sat on a bench by the statue of the mayor and waited to see if anyone showed up for the meeting. Marisa knows she railroaded the Pope into this, but she really thinks he needed to talk to the non-Christian people of faith and learn that calling them heretics just isn't nice.]

[He really hadn't meant to call anyone a heretic, it had mostly been describing what others do, like the inquisition. He had no real opinion on other religions, mostly because there weren't really any other regions to speak of. The thing that came to mind most strongly was Alibon, they were not Catholic, but he knew the to share the same God. Everything else were broken fragments of the past, barely kept around through books and records. The Church had been in major control of most the world for centuries now. Really it all came down to three countries, Albion, the Vatican, and the Empire. And no one knew what it was like in the Empire.

Sitting here in the park with Marisa made him extremely nervous. However despite that he had made sure he would be presentable. He was dressed in his own civilian clothes from home, which made him look like a very proper Edwardian boy. However despite being well dressed he looked like he might be sick soon.]

[Well, after the help Marisa gave her it's the least Naal can do to explain a little about her home. She's used to keeping to herself on matters of religion, but if she sometimes feels alone in her faith in Chel, it is nothing compared to here where none even know the name of the Goddess. There is comfort, even if it is a small and cold one, in having someone else hear it.

Unfortunately she's not really clear on who, exactly, Alessandro is and has to look around for him a bit at the gathering.]

[Bazett is standing in the park, watching from afar. It is not so much that she wants to talk to Alessandro about matters of faith as it is that she wants to protect the boy from potential enemies. At the same time, she is staring at Ciel. After the incident with Merem, the boundaries between Bazett and the Church had been clearly outlined. Therefore, she does not want to cause any more incidents.]

[So she stands a little ways off, paying close attention to the little group.]

[Marisa, who is sitting by the Pope, has her hand inside a pocket of her skirt as she watches the area, talking to various people as the show up. Gold eyes fall on Bazett and watch her for a moment.

So that's the woman that caused such a ruckus at her house the other day when Merem was building the extension. Marisa had watched most of the confrontation from the roof, almost butting in to demand the Enforcer get off her lawn, but she'd decided to let Ciel and Merem handle it.

Still, she's not thrilled about Bazett being here, especially if the witch does have to defend the Pope against, say, the Major. But as long as she stayed over there and left them alone, Marisa wouldn't bother her. So she went back to the conversations she's been involved in.]
