[Yes, Jormungandr still works as an office guy. No, he still doesn't like it. He still has no idea what the papers are for, or what all it means, and he doesn't care. All he does is draw scribbles or type random letters on papers he's handed and somehow it works and no one talks about it. Sometimes he just sits and stares at the ceiling all day long. That's what he's doing now, actually. He's a master of patience and being able to sit in one place and do nothing. He never thought he'd be doing it in a place like this, though.]

Action: The Park, Late Afternoon

[He still likes the park. It's kind of nice. And it's away from the house and the nagging of the drone wife. He doesn't like her, but he tolerates her. He puts up with her by staying away from the house as much as possible. And so that means he spends a lot of time in the park.

He's sitting on a bench at the moment, staring at the sky. He's been here for half a year and he still hasn't really gotten used to having a sky. It's actually fascinating to him. All that blue, and the clouds... and the sun. It's like nothing he's ever dreamed.]

Action: Olney's Tavern, Evening

[Crowley had inviting him to come by when he was on duty sometime. Now, Jormungandr has no idea if Crowley is on duty or not, but he's decided to go anyway, to see what it's like.

He's sitting at the bar, watching the people around him. They're drinking, talking about strange things... He wonders what the point of this activity is. He wonders why humans even bother. Their lives are so short anyway, like the tiniest grain of salt in the vast ocean, dissolved into the greater whole and never noticed by anyone. How do they manage to survive?

...what? He can get philosophical if he wants. What else was he supposed to do on the bottom of the ocean?]

Er... Some of the events over Valentine's weren't so bad...

[He snorts. All right then.]

[Still, that business with Jormungandr on Valentine's Day... He'd still rather pretend it never happened.]

[Oh. He agrees. But he's just going to drink some more. He won't mention it if Crowley doesn't.]

[He mixes a drink for someone else and serves it.]

Er... Have you had any changes in your "family" lately?

[midgardserpent]

[He shrugs. There's been comings and goings but he hardly notices. He doesn't really interact with anyone in his house, and really he only sleeps there because he has to. The last time he really noticed anyone leaving was that one girl, and that was a few months ago.]

I've got a full house now, it seems.

[midgardserpent]

[Is that so. And how do you like being a family man, Crowley?]

[eyesofaserpent]

[He shrugs.]

I talk to that one kid a lot... The boy that looks like a girl. More than the others...

[midgardserpent]

[He stares for a moment, then nods. Boy that looks like a girl? Okay whatever.]

He's like a housewife.

[midgardserpent]

[He snorts. That. Is kind of hilarious.]

[He shrugs.]

At least he cooks well.

[midgardserpent]

[Not that he's extremely familiar with social norms in his world, but damn that is so far out of them. He shakes his head in mild disbelief and drinks some more. He's almost to the bottom of his glass.]

Do you want another drink?

[midgardserpent]

[He blinks and looks at the drink in his hand for a moment, then back up at Crowley. He shrugs. Whatever.]

[Crowley takes some peeled ginger and cuts off about a 3/4" slice. He then coarsely chops it and tosses it into a shaker with a tablespoon of brown sugar. He swirls it about for about thirty seconds before adding an ounce of vodka, a half ounce of cointreau, a half ounce of a chile pepper flavored vodka, and squeezing in an ounce of lemon juice. He caps the shaker and then shakes it for another good thirty seconds then strains it into a glass of crushed ice.]

Here you go, mate. A King of Snakes.

[I'd bet you five bucks they didn't have chile pepper flavored vodka in the 1950s, but I won't tell anyone if you won't.

Anyway.

Jormungandr raises his eyebrow at the name, but he takes the drink and sips it carefully.

...Interesting.]

[Okay, so maybe he infused the pepper vodka himself (they leave him alone with the booze too often and he gets bored).

Yes.]

Has a bit of a bite to it, I'd say...

[It certainly does. Jormungandr's brow furrows as he considers the taste, sipping it again to get a better impression.

...definitely interesting.]

It's interesting the things people come up with.

[He nods slowly, a bit mystified. But he doesn't dislike the drink, so he'll keep drinking it.]

I take it you liked the other one better.

[midgardserpent]

[He shrugs. They're both fine, but the other one was a little bit easier to come to terms with, yes.]
