[1332 Benny Road - Locked to Housemates]

[The first thing that Hayate realized when she woke up was that this was not her bed. Her bed was done up in silken sheets, something she liked as a luxury at times. Also, last she checked her bed wasn't occupied, even if Zwei or Vita still liked sleeping with her. Sitting up and blinking sleep out of her eyes, she looked around before quietly slipping out into the main room.

Looking around the house, she found the mantle with the pictures of people. Kids, pet, husband, what was going on here?]

I'd like to get a little more info about this place. Also, if anyone's from Midchilda, it would be appreciated to know if they were around as well.

[Around Town - Afternoon]

[Hayate disliked the dress she was wearing. It wasn't bad, but it could USE something. Something more. Even when she was going shopping for food like a "regular housewife", she knew that she had orders to fill when work called her again. But being a seamstress wasn't so bad to be honest; she had a lot of leeway. Already costumes were popping up in her mind and she giggled maniacally.]

Well I have kids of my own, so I'm always worried about people's health. [That and memories of being crippled was not fun at all.]

[ Amazed. ] But you look so young! Your skin's almost as clean as mine. [ Putting her hand to Hayate's face and, well, for being an ex-zombie she's got really great complexion. ]

Hehehe well most of them are adopted in a way. I am only 23 though, so I am kinda young. [She smiled and touched Yoshika's hand on her cheek.]

Your skin's really soft too!

I take really good care of it! [ Don't ask how that happened back home. ~~Lack of canon logic.~~ Trade secret. ]

Heheh I see that! It's nice!

[Hayate's going to let that drop for a second as she smiled.]

To keep the swelling down, press the compress against the bruised area twice a day, okay?

Oh, okay. I can do that. [ She nods. ] How long does it take for something like that to heal, naturally?

It should be a couple of days, provided you don't hit yourself on the stairs again.

[ Easier said than done. She makes a disappointed sound. ] Healing is hard when you're alive. But I guess this isn't so bad

Yeah, being alive does complicate matters, but it's all I know. So I tend to keep my friends healthy as possible. That means good food and making sure everyone's taken care of medically.

[ Sigh. ] It was easier being dead. I miss it.

Really? Can I ask how it's like? I've never met anyone who enjoyed being dead before.

Um, well it was very dark. And I slept a lot. And if people got too close, I bit them, and then there would be more of us!

...that's all I really remember.

Huh that is interesting. I hadn't thought that the western zombie mythos actually applied to other cultural undead.

The western zombie what?

Ah, the whole "bite people, make them into zombies" thing.

But I could always do that!

It doesn't always last, though.

Oh really? Huh that is different. I hadn't thought it would wear off.

That's kind of inconvenient, too, but at least I can always bite them again.

[ She reaches out her free hand. ] I could show you!

[Hayate is morbidly curious but blinks.]

You can still do that when you're human?

Oh, I've always been human. Just not alive! [ That's her story and she's sticking to it. ] I don't know. I haven't bitten anyone yet.

Hmmm that is interesting. Though maybe next time. I'd like to at least discuss it further.

[Hayate's genuinely curious now but doesn't want to risk losing herself to some traditional zombieness.]

[ A pout. ] Aw, are you sure? Okay...

Maybe later. [Preferably not her first day at least.]

By the way, has anyone made clothes for you before?

[ Yoshika looks down at her own dress. ] These were just kind of there in the house. Kyouko helped me pick them out, so, kind of??

Hmm that's no good. I could probably help you out, and make some clothing for you. I've got a seamstress job here.
