[1332 Benny Road - Locked to Housemates]

[The first thing that Hayate realized when she woke up was that this was not her bed. Her bed was done up in silken sheets, something she liked as a luxury at times. Also, last she checked her bed wasn't occupied, even if Zwei or Vita still liked sleeping with her. Sitting up and blinking sleep out of her eyes, she looked around before quietly slipping out into the main room.

Looking around the house, she found the mantle with the pictures of people. Kids, pet, husband, what was going on here?]

I'd like to get a little more info about this place. Also, if anyone's from Midchilda, it would be appreciated to know if they were around as well.

[Around Town - Afternoon]

[Hayate disliked the dress she was wearing. It wasn't bad, but it could USE something. Something more. Even when she was going shopping for food like a "regular housewife", she knew that she had orders to fill when work called her again. But being a seamstress wasn't so bad to be honest; she had a lot of leeway. Already costumes were popping up in her mind and she giggled maniacally.]

The town takes away your abilities and possessions upon arrival. To restore them, you would need to visit the post office and exchange body parts or memories for it, or you would need to wait until an event ends to regain it.

Exchange... [No, absolutely not. Hayate's voice is a little more firm than her usual Kansai-ben lilt.]

Nothing is that important to sacrifice a body part of memory for. They're all precious. I'll just wait for the lunacy to pass before I do anything.

Then you might be at a disadvantage when the disasters come.

[Ironically, the two regains Bazett had gotten from the post office had not helped her much. The first, Fragarach, had cost her an arm, but had been useless since she did not have her circuits. Her second one, runic magic, she had regained with the intention of protecting Tohsaka. Yet, it had been useless, even for proteting herself.]

Well, I'll just have to rely on friends then. There's too much I don't want to risk losing for the sake of regaining my magic back.

[Besides, Hayate gets her powers back, and you can be sure a good chunk of Mayfield will be a smoking hole in the ground.]

How many of your allies are currently here in Mayfield? And have any of them regained their powers? I can understand not wanting to risk too much for your magic, but do you not wish to protect your allies as well?

There's a handful of them, from my own world. I can rely on Fate to keep me safe if need be. Also, it's better I don't use my powers in this area, it's too dangerous. Especially without barriers.

I understand. So you practice a very destructive form of magic?

[For some reason, she cannot help but remember Illyasviel von Einzbern's prana blasts.]

Ah hehehehehehhhhhh... I have bad aim, and really big spells. Its hard for me to manage all of that magic though without my ~~kidlet~~Device.

[She tries to analyze what she has just heard. The girl apparently has a Mystic Code with which she could easily cast very destructive spells. Not only that, but it seemed to restrain her natural output of prana into something manageable.]

Are you...a magical girl of some sort?

[The only other explanation is that the girl is a Heroic Spirit.]

Heh, well back in the day I guess I could be called one to be honest. Though I haven't been called a magical girl in ages. Not since I was a teenager.

I do not believe the designation of "magical girl" is affected by your age.

Yes, you magical girls certainly have impressive battle capabilities.

Though I'm not really a front-liner anyhow. I leave that for everyone else. I'm more of the 'stand behind, artillery fire' type of gal. Yanno?

Aaaaaaaah. Less long range attacking than its more like... long range widespread devastation.

[It sounds perfect. With this girl as an ally, she would have a better chance of breaking into the dairy or attacking the town authorities.]

I am mostly a melee fighter. However, it seems melee tactics are not very effective against the authorities of this town. Therefore, I would like to have some allies with effective long range attacks. If it is possible, we could become allies.

[It all depends if you could get Hayate to even agree to it in the first place.]

Wait wait, you're going to attack the town authorities? Isn't there, yanno, a downside to that? If I were to go slinging my magic around half the town would be destroyed in an instant.

Not right now. I might in the future, should there be some sort of crisis. Currently, the only downside is that you get droned for a certain amount of time. In addition, firepower of that calibur might be needed to break into some of their buildings.

No, no, no, no, you don't understand! There is nowhere in the blast radius that anyone would survive! My smallest spell would engulf this entire town and then some! There is literally nowhere you could stand without being immolated!

I can't just 'knock down a building', I'll wind up killing everyone in this entire place!

Many of the people here have ways of shielding themselves from attacks likes that. But if that is such a concern for you...I suppose I will not force you to fight alongside me.

[At least, not until absolute emergencies.]

If you wish, I could still be your ally. I would be able to help protect you from close range attacks, at least.

[Absolute emergencies are a must. Blast radiuses were still ungodly huge for Hayate's magical bombardment. That, and she had the aim of a drunk platypus.]

Well I suppose I could use a Knight to protect me. After all, I'm pretty lousy close up anyhow.

...It just so happens that I am a Red Branch Knight.

[She smiles a little at the coincidence.]

Well that's a certainly interesting coincidence then! [Hayate wondered if she could get Bazett into a costume then...]

Maybe we could get together for a coffee then?
