43rd sigh

[A: Mayfield high
Kyon is zoning out or possibly even sleeping in class...

B: You may also catch him on his own at some point during lunch break.

C: SOS Brigade Clubroom
Kyon drops by the clubroom after school to see if anyone else is there today...]

... Yo.

[D: John Doe Park
Kyon is sitting on a park bench, watching the clouds go by...

E: 915 Bilko
Kyon may be found this evening playing The Day of Sagittarius III on his laptop in the living room...]

... Ugh, wipeout.

[He'll switch the computer off and sit there silently... It's been a slow day.]

[She could give the gentle cascade of a pin a run for its money in terms of pure laconism. One moment, she's simply there, next to him. Maybe the feeling of people watched is exclusive to other humans?

Or it could just be Yuki being Yuki.

You know, an alien.

Despite the reunion of sorts, she finds words particularly unnecessary at present. Not that there's much language could do about the situation. The most he get's is the sound of the wind rustling gently against her clothes, signaling the appearance of one short high school interface.]

[She looks at him and nods, but does not avert her gaze. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to think she might be staring into your soul with a look like that. It's going to be a while before she blinks.

It's almost as if she's expecting something from him, the way she maintains that glassy look.]

I have been relieved of ninety-nine percent of my primary functions. [Which is useful clarification. Not only in the fact that yes, like anyone else she's been rendered powerless upon entrance, but also that she is no longer the same Nagato as before.]

[A simple nod, and she peels her gaze away from him. With no book in her arms, her hands lie limp over her lap. Her presence is about as loud as a conversation in sign language.] ]

It is likely that they will return prior to any successful attempt at escape.

Do not worry. [Yeah right.]

[Another nod, making incredible strides at worthwhile conversation. Silence falls again for a sequence of long moments.]

At present, I am unable to access any peripheral data flow. I can rely only on what preliminary data can be manually transcribed.

[Which pretty much means learning like a normal person would. For once, Kyon might be getting questions from Nagato, rather than the way it usually plays out.

For now though, she holds her tongue.]

[There's a pause. A long, long pause. Maybe she's thinking, maybe she's just a bit winded from actually talking for more than a single word a second ago.] Useful.

Previous attempts at synchronization have failed. All future attempts will be no different.

I will continue the upkeep of data thereafter. [She looks him squarely in the eyes and nods, as if thanking him.

Or maybe it's just your standard nodding.]

This course of action wil be performed through this body's manual physical output.

It is all that is necessary at present.

Physical strain is an improbable outcome, and any sustained will likely not be life-threatening.

Do not worry.
