Love is Blooming Event (forward dated to 14th)
1. 1130 Taylor Road
[Bazett had thrown out the flowers that Mayfield had left her the first two or three times. However, since the white hyacinthes kept coming back, she eventually stopped. After all, they seemed to have no effect beyond looking pretty.]
[Even on the morning of the 14th, when the flowers have had an entire night to work their influence on her, she wakes up and does not feel any obvious effects beyond feeling slightly uneasy. The flowers' sweet scent is just a little bit overwhelming. This time, instead of simply throwing the flowrs in the garbage, she uses her runes to light them on fire and does not stop until she sees that they have been reduced to ashes.]
[Even so, she feels a little wary of the effects that these flowers might have had on her. As a result, she resolves not to go outside and to simply look out her windown instead.]
[Needless to say, not even this will spare her from what is to come.]
2. Action; All Around Mayfield
[Bazett is going on a rampage, trying to hunt down all who she has deemed an obstacle to her maddened love.]
You! Get out here! Now!
[As if to intimidate her target, she smashes her fist into the closest structure, denting it.]

Re: 2
2
[Looks like his assessment wasn't incorrect. The bounded field alerts him of the location of the Enforcer, and the wreck confirms his suspicions about her power.]
[Kiritsugu has dealt with a lot of magi, but he has never had an Enforcer dispatched against him. Natalia was unlike most of them, so simply basing his strategy off of her will not work.]
[It is highly unlikely she's using sheer physical power. Reinforcement. Could abuse that through an Origin bullet, but he may need those later.]
[No claymores set. This event was sudden, and preparing the house for an attack would put him and Maiya in danger as well. He'll have to rely on the Calico M950.]
Time Alter -- Double Accel
[Not double at all anymore, but fast enough to allow him to complete the installation of a claymore and its tripwire in a minute. His mind doesn't speed up with his body, but the steps are engraved deep enough in his mind to allow him to carry them out at faster speeds.]
[Yet that's not the main purpose of the spell.]
[By making use of magecraft, Kiritsugu has left hints of prana in the room, basically pointing towards his presence in it. If he is to lead Bazett to this room first, such a step will be necessary. He opens a window, trying to climb to the roof through the back of the house. His coat is heavy with Contender and Calico, and in his pocket rests a detached IR heat detecting scope, which will serve in carrying out an analysis.]
[He's trying very, very hard to not think of Illya as he does this, but the ever-increasing emotional side of him considers this some sort of revenge.]
Re: 2
[She draws a rune in the air. Kenaz, the rune of sight. She will be able to find him now.]
[As she glances around the room, she realizes that he is not there. Instead, there is only a tripwire and some sort of human weaponry.]
[She scoffs and, with a couple quick strokes, destroys the tripwire. Her Reinforcement and runes protects her from receiving more than a couple of scratches from the ensuing explosion.]
Are you really that much of a coward? Is your love for Aaron this weak? If so, you should have stayed away from him in the first place!
[She steps into the wrecked room, intending on tearing the house apart to find her target.]
2
[Explosions will be of no use. This is reminiscent of his battle against Kayneth, but there, he had the advantage of facing a Mystic Code directly linked to his opponent's magic. While an Origin bullet may very well kill someone making use of reinforcement, it'll have to be to an extremely high degree. What's more, it would have to be at the precise moment she makes use of it. The possibility that Bazett keeps it on at all times is there, but he can't count on it. Not when she's already heard of his methods.]
[Such thoughts pass through Emiya Kiritsugu's mind as he traverses the twenty steps required to cross the roof. Waiting for the side-effects of his Reality Marble to stop, he begins to climb down the front of the house, avoiding passing through any windows.]
[He cannot resort to using the walls to his advantage again. Once the Enforcer realizes he's not there and starts to head out, Kiritsugu won't have time to reach the roof before she gets to the entrance, easily being able to spot him from there. He'll simply have to make her path to him as threatening as possible. Of course, the moment that becomes evident, she will follow his every step, sealing his fate.]
[At a swift pace, Kiritsugu reaches the kitchen, opening a drawer. Five grenades are now in his possession. Two M67 fragmentation grenades. Two M18 smoke grenades, yellow. One flashbang. While the materials for claymores are found within, Kiritsugu only removes a single tripwire.]
[None of these will eliminate Bazett Fraga McRemitz by themselves. Not with her status as a moving fortress. But she will not endure them without the use of magecraft. Hoping to avoid the use of special ammo, his first choice is to catch her unaware. Kiritsugu does not wish for Bazett to know where the grenades come from. He could very well be dead before they hit the ground if she does. Instead he attaches the tripwire to the pin of a flashbang. After releasing the safety lever, he starts heading towards another window. He doesn't fully close it, leaving a small space through which the pin can pass when pulled by the wire. Now he has a visual on the room. If there's a necessary flaw in this plan, it's that the flashbang will drop to the ground upon being released of its pin. A five second interval during which she can react. However, if she's as unacquainted with technology as Kiritsugu believes her to be, she may very well ignore it, believing it to not differ from a fragmentation grenade, which will not be used until he's sure she has been dazed by the first part of the plan.]
[Now it's just a matter of waiting until she abandons her efforts upstairs.]
Re: 2
[The rune indicates that he is still in the house. She follows it toward the kitchen window. In her path, she finds another tripwire.]
The same stale old tricks, Emiya? I thought the Magus Killer would be smarter than that.
[A spell incinerates this tripwire as easily as the first. She braces herself to meet another explosion, but is instead greeted by a flash of light.]
[Her eyes have both been reinforced and enhanced with kenaz. As a result, the flash of light easily overloads her vision. However, despite the sudden blindness, she persists in following him, now using his prana trail as the sole indicator of his position. Should there be any obstacles in her way, she will just obliterate them.]
no subject
[With the flashbang disabling the visual and auditory capabilities of his opponent for a precious few seconds, Kiritsugu has the perfect window of opportunity to test his theory. Removing the pin and releasing the spoon of a M67 grenade the moment he pulls the wire, he throws it through the window, the sound of the crash hopefully deafened by the flashbang's effects.]
[There's two ways this battle can go.]
[Should Bazett activate her reinforcement only when she needs it, then the fragmentation grenade should end the battle, neutralizing her at least long enough to land a finishing blow.]
[However, if Bazett truly keeps her reinforcement on at all times, then the grenade will have no effect, similar to the blast of the claymore. Yet this will mean that her magic circuits are activated at all times. That piece of information is all he needs.]
[Kiritsugu draws the .22 Remington Thompson Contender, as well as two rounds of ammunition between his fingers. One is the .30-06 Springfield round, capable of piercing through most types of armor, yet undoubtedly useless against reinforcement capable of stopping explosions. The other, just as strong, is the bullet made from his own ribs. One of eleven left. Logic dictates that preserving it would take precedence over his own life, which Mayfield should restore, but his natural will to live overpowers that one piece of reason. With a flick of the finger pushing the trigger guard, the firearm's chamber opens. Kiritsugu waits for the blast, ready to stand from the cover of the window whenever he hears it.]
...
[Something still bothers him. Bazett hasn't used her Mystic Code. It's entirely possible for magi to lack one, but an enforcer of her caliber should have attained one by now. He assumes she hasn't regained it yet, but the sheer thought that she is normally even stronger than this is almost enough to separate him from his Magus Killer mindset... Just his luck that someone like her would know Kotomine.]

[As a result, she shrugs off the adjacent explosion and makes her way toward the window, brushing off the fragments that have clung to her clothing. Instead of taking the time to open it, she smashes it into pieces and starts going out through the new hole.]
no subject
[Kiritsugu isn't quick enough. It's not half a second after he hears steps that the broken fragments of the wall crash into him. Though not many, the sheer force of Bazett's fist is enough to knock him to the ground. No escape now.]
[Without standing up, Kiritsugu inserts the Origin bullet into the chamber. He notices that the red markings of his command spells are complemented by that of his own blood. The curse keeps making him frailer and frailer...]
[The round may be three times stronger than your average Desert Eagle ammo, but with reinforcement, it's all for naught. Though a lot more force is concentrated into a single point than with the claymore, Bazett would survive, and with more than enough strength to finish Kiritsugu off in his defenseless state.]
[But it's precisely that reinforcement he's counting on now.]
[Firing the Origin round in such an open place is dangerous. Other people, unrelated to the conflict, may see it, and Kiritsugu is a man who relies on secrecy as his fighting style. However, this is the only thing that separates Kiritsugu from certain death.]
[Click.]
[The Magus Killer pushes the trigger guard again, this time in the opposite direction, closing the Contender. He aims it directly at Bazett's torso, unwilling to risk bouncing the bullet off her head. Unlike her Executor acquaintance, Bazett is equally protected everywhere. It should make little difference. He looks straight through the sights, specific to the .22 Remington model. The slightest twitch could waste the invaluable ammunition. A grim smirk comes to his face, mocking no one but himself. Here he was, basing his entire philosophy on Mayfield reviving people, and he can't live up to it when the time comes?]
[A deafening crack rings throughout the area. Kiritsugu can't help but almost drop the gun in pain. The necessity to aim upwards at such sudden notice incapacitates him from twisting his elbow so he can absorb the recoil. The assassin from half a year ago could have stood through this, despite shooting what is essentially a rifle round with one hand. Looks like the Grail's curse just won't leave him alone.]
no subject
[Indeed, the bullet crumbles upon conact with her shoulder. She almost wants to laugh--in the end, the Magus Killer was no more than a third-rate magus resorting to human weaponry to compensate for his lack of skill in magecraft.]
[As she closes the gap between them, she punches at his head. It would be over the second her Reinforced first, with the power to pulverize a human skull, comes into contact with his face.]
[Only, that never happens.]
[Reinforcement, despite being a basic spell, is a very difficult and prana-costing one. Its purpose is to strengthen a basis to the utmost. Using it, Bazett could force her body to the peak of human performance, coming as close as possible to an ideal human body. Adding runes to increase her strength, speed, and endurance turned her into something beyond human, something that could go toe-to-toe with Heroic Spirits. Needless to say, this required great amounts of prana, which meant almost all of her circuits were active.]
[Kiritsugu's origin bullets turned the victim's prana back on them, not only shorting out the magic circuits, but ripping apart the body when the prana was allowed to flow chaotically within the victim. Bazett had not only activated almost all of her circuits, but she had cast the Reinforcement on her own body.]
[Muscles, nerves, and organs were shredded. Her body thrashed in a strange, twitching dance before collapsing to the ground. However, her reaction is not one of shock or anger. Instead, as she collapses toward the ground, she whispers only one thing from her ruined throat and lungs.]
Condition green.
[With that, she is surrounded by a sudden burst of prana and runes.]
[Bazett has gotten used to always leaving at least two of her magic circuits unused even in battle. This was because she had reserved them in case she was even put in a situation where she had to both Reinforce her body and use Fragarach at the same time. And now, this practice has saved her from certain death.]
[The first thing Bazett has done after regaining her mind was to carve one-use resucitation runes on all her shirts. Provided the user could emit enough prana, the runes could ressurect and regenerate the user. As long as no organs were detached from the body, all wounds could be healed. These runes have now been used to regenerate her near-destroyed body.]
[While Kiritsugu had succeeded in destroying most of her magic circuits, he had not killed her or even reduced her to the level of an average human. She starts crawling to her feet, casting Reinforcement on herself again. This time, it is nowhere near the level of her previous spell. Though she is still stronger and faster than an average human, she is now vulnerable to Kiritsugu's modern weapons.]
Impressive, Magus Killer. You have earned your name.
[With that trick, he has completely changed her opinion of him. If she was not trying to kill him for obstructing her love, then she would actually be impressed.]
no subject
[This has given Kiritsugu invaluable information regarding her methods. Runic magecraft is not something he's used to dealing with, but given enough time, he may come to find a counter for it. He does not have such time right now.]
[Reinforcement strong enough to brush off explosions must require a large amount of circuits. Kiritsugu recognizes the use of magic in restoring Bazett to health, but there's no way she has enough to deflect attacks to the same degree.]
[She is no longer completely impervious, the assassin reasons.]
[And yet, his movements are slowed. He does not try to prepare the Contender for another shot. Such a move would be suicide. Even half a second, his normal drawing time without the need to reload, seems a nonexistent amount of time in his current state. Not because of Bazett. He doesn't know how quick she will make this. It's because of himself. As he reaches into his coat after letting the Contender drop to the ground, he feels his mind clouded by a feeling only his archnemesis could stir in him: fear.]
[Not out of the inability to comprehend Bazett Fraga McRemitz, or being her complete opposite in ideology, but simply because she so resembles the unstoppable wall of death he knows has been approaching since the end of the Fourth War. Sharp edges pierce his arm as it traverses his coat towards the Calico M950, the loss of blood from the collateral damage starting to make his vision fade. Unlike his opponent, Kiritsugu hasn't had the magecraft to reinforce himself from projectiles such as fragments in a long time. He may survive if he reaches a hospital, but enduring the rest of this battle has become an impossibility. At the end of it all, he finds himself unable to carry the weight of his actions just as much as his weapon. Prana and energy start leaving his body as it prepares for the worst.]
[Maybe waiting for death is the only option he'll ever have left...]

It burns.
While she's not at home, she does know that he had no plans to leave for the day. Considering the holiday and the loss of their lady, she can understand that it isn't a good time for her to be around. The town of Mayfield permits them to be away from each other without much consequence.
But it burns!
With a high tolerance of physical pain comes the complication of rarely ever feeling pain. She's been shot, stabbed, tossed around, and burned, among other things. However, there are ways to ensure she can feel pain and sharp sensation under the nail of her little finger reminds her that a greater agony is on the horizon if she does not hurry.
There's no hesitation when she starts to run back to the street named Kramden, caring not for how short of breath she becomes or the pain in her lungs from the brisk colder wind. The safety measure he placed upon them both was enough to warn her of the impeding danger that was upon him. It's a simple and complex one all the same. Even the most basic of magi would consider it.. if a magus could ever trust another user of magic. With a strand of his hair embedded in the subcutaneous tissue of her finger, it served not only as another precaution of Kiritsugu Emiya, but as a permanent bond of their trust.
It's with this single strand of hair does she know the critical condition in which he faces. With his Magic Circuits in an extreme stagnation, she knows that he's on the brink of death.
That's why she immediately makes it to his side and doesn't bother to stop to survey the scene until she's moved out in front of him, standing in between Bazett and the man she's given her life to. Come at her, brosis. ]

Sara Smith.
[She only recognizes the woman by that pseudonym.]
What are you doing here? Are you this man's ally? Or...do you just want Aaron for yourself?
[At this point, no matter what the woman says, Bazett will probably attack her.]
no subject
[He does not look her in the eye. He retains more than enough of his objective personality to know that would be foolish in the field of battle. However, he can't help but feel dread. Bazett appeared to be on the level of her colleague, Kotomine. Kiritsugu may have once brushed off Maiya's injuries as simple inconveniences, but seeing her die in his arms not once, but twice, must have had an effect on his mind.]
[And yet, despite these feelings, he doesn't attempt to tell her to run. Because despite his tendency to ignore emotions, Kiritsugu's fear resembles that of half a year ago enough to overpower such a trait.]
(dang it, i forgot to track this. sorry for the delay)
[ Maiya doesn't bother to answer the questions the woman presents before her, choosing instead to address her in a tone that's without emotion. Killing one of the very few she's spoken with in this town seems less than ideal, but any threat towards the man behind her is one that must be eliminated.
Withdrawing a handgun from behind her, safely tucked away within in the waistband of garments underneath, Maiya makes it clear as to why she chose to not answer the other woman's questions.
Actions speak louder than words and with a fluid motion, the pistol is held straight in front of her. Each resounding shot answers it all for her.
You. BANG! Will. BANG! Not. BANG! Harm. BANG! This. BANG! Man. ]
Re: It's okay
[She dodges the first two bullets, but the next three all hit her body. The first one rips into the base of her neck, right as it connects to her shoulder. The next one goes into her chest. Only the reinforcement stops it from completely piercing her lung. The final one hits her right knee. With that, she finally goes down.]
Damn you...
[She tries to get up, but her kneecap has been shattered by the woman's bullets. In addition, blood is spurting out of her throat. Already, her consciousness is dimming due to the massive blood loss.]
[All Bazett can do is stare angrily up at the woman. While she could possibly cast a healing spell, it would be a weak one that would take a long time to work. By that time, the woman will probably act to kill her.]

Kiritsugu's current state leaves her concerned for his well being. There's no time to tend to the woman. There's only him in her mind. Careful enough to not leave behind too much evidence, she tucks the handgun back into the waistline of her pants as she turns to face the fallen man.
This was a sight she never wished to see.
It's sickening how brief a life can be and for the first time she can recall (there's a lot of those in this day she's experiencing) there's a hatred boiling deep within. This was how you get her to react to something and it made her feel almost human again. Her motions are swift, but with a gentleness reserved only for him, as she attempts to pull him up closer to her form. ]
Come now. [ He can't fall like this. ] I need you alive.
no subject
[She is not so stupid to see that as she is now, she is no match for the woman and her modern firearms, nor is she so stubborn as to absolutely refuse to lose a kill. Yes, she is obstinate, but not to that extent.]
[Instead, this is her attempt to attain a somewhat dignified end. Currently, she is pathetically bleeding to death like a wounded beast. Even if she did cast that healing spell and recover from her injuries, she would still be left with pitifully few magic circuits. It would be a horrible handicap in future battles.]
[So she is taking a gamble. A quick death would not only be preferrable to slowly, pathetically bleeding to death on someone else's front lawn, but it would also regenerate her magic circuits upon revival. If she still needed to kill these two, she would come back after she is revived. By that time, she will know all of their tricks, so they will have no way to stop her.]
I can still kill both of you, you know.
[The second half of her words are unsaid, but they should be clear.]
["So hurry up and kill me."]
[Nevertheless, it is clearly a bluff. In addition to the blood lost when Kiritsugu destroyed her circuits, she is gushing blood from her neck, chest, and knee. She can barely stand and is currently walking only because of the reinforcement cast on her body and sheer stubborness.]
no subject
There was no hope. There was no future. These are the things she knows are concrete when she begins to lose him, so she must cling on. Kiritsugu is the only one who understands the deformities of the world - the twisted and the perverted, and yet still have enough kindness in his heart to love a family. ]
You'll conclude your business with me and leave him out of it when you return.
[ That's the condition for taking her out of her misery, Maiya decides, as she fires a single shot straight towards her head. ]
no subject
[It strikes between the eyes, and pierces the skull easily. It rips apart the underlying brain and exits through the other side, blowing aside bloody chunks of her skull and leaving a fist sized hole in the back of Bazett's head. However, she already dead before the bullet finally exits. The shattered, slimy remains of the brain, as well as large amounts of blood, come trickling down the dead woman's head and shoulder, already covered with fragments of her skull. Then, like a puppet with its strings cut, the corpse finally falls over. All of this takes less than a minute.]
[Bazett Fraga McRemitz is dead. She will not revive until midnight. Until then, she will lie as a corpse, spilling out its congealing blood on Kiritsugu's debris covered lawn.]
