Fifth Book ♌ Phone; Action
[PHONE; Attempted to filter from Condesce, probably not that effective]
...Is everything over with then? Are we done torturing innocent people?
[There's an angry edge to her voice but it fades]
I don't want to have to watch everyone get hurt and killed. Is there any way to protect those I care about or do we just have to watch it happen every time? What about the dangerous trol--people in Mayfield? Is there nothing that can be done?
[She makes a frustrated hiss]
I just want people to safe, why is this so hard. This isn't Alternia. I shouldn't have to worry as much.
[Action; Around Mayfield]
[She's going door to door to see if she can make sure her friends are okay. Obviously she isn't really sure about where some people live, so if she knocked on your door by accident, well...
She'll still make sure YOU are okay as well]
[Action; Pet shop]
[She's been putting off coming back to work but three days seems to be the magic rule. However this doesn't really mean she'll work.
A far better and more comforting thing is to take every larger cat out of their cages and simply pet them for a few hours. She'll get up if someone comes in, but who really buys pets in the middle of winter in Mayfield]

[She uses that word more because it seems like the closest equivalent and he seems to be a troll heavily set in troll ways. He probably would not get it if she explained that matesprit doesn't quite mesh with the relationship in question. She watches his careful tea dance with a little smile. She can't quite conceal her amusement at all the small careful movements]
Names are easier I find. After all, if you aren't sure about the looks of the person in question, it's easier to get a name than ask for a full description. But yes, I ship. I assume Nepeta does as well?

[Then he takes a deep breath, holding his head up high as he primly sits down and begins pouring milk into his mug] Not that I expect you to understand. You don't feel it. You don't live with it every day. He feels it even less. But of course, no one listens to me, I am only the rageful musclebound idiot who is obsessed with things that do not matter.
[He leans back in the chair, sipping his milk with a sneer] So yes, I am the only wriggler who holds such beliefs. I don't care if I am the last troll alive to do so, too. I would live in exile before I denied what I know to be true.
[He looks away, shaking his head] She does. She has feelings for the Signless's descendant as well. She thinks I don't know, but you would have to be blind to miss it.

You know...sometimes it may matter, just a little. But it shouldn't be everything Equius. You shouldn't hate someone for being low or exalt someone for being high. Accomplishments and a person's own merits.
I have not had the best of luck with highbloods. The one who spared my life also killed Signless. [Nope she has not recognized the troll she saw for a tiny period of time in Equius oops] I don't see the inherent superiority in them, though I understand I cannot change your mind. So I will cease trying for the moment.
...[She poured some tea, putting in only sugar and taking a sip] Karkat doesn't feel that way for her, does he?
