[Welcome to the Factory.
A blackened, dilapidated building sitting on the edge of town, it seems to have appeared out of nowhere overnight. It is surrounded by an electrified fence; should anyone on the outside (or the inside) try to cross it, they will find themselves repelled by the force with painful electric shocks. No amount of strength, size, magic, or flying ability will get you past the fence.
The Factory itself looks like it's been through hell. It's falling apart on the outside. Half of the building looks collapsed. The bricks are scorched. All of the window frames are rusted. It certainly doesn't look like a place that should be up and running, but it is. Dr. Johnson and her team are scurrying around the building, performing treatments, operations, and experimentations- making 'improvements'.
Following your treatment and/or surgery, you wake up- or don't- in a filthy room. It's nothing like the fairly sterile surgery room had been. You're crammed in there with dozen other 'patients', each in varying stages of recovery.
You're probably in moderate to severe pain. The pain might be so great that you are incapable of moving. Perhaps some of your limbs are missing or maybe you find huge gaps in your memory. Maybe you're very sick with some disease you don't recall developing. Either way, you were sent in for 'improvements', and you've been 'improved' as much as Dr. Johnson thinks you needed.
If they're lucid enough, the other patients will probably talk to you. You'll find that, like you, they're all non-drone townspeople.
You'll be contained here for 24 hours. Following that, you'll be released. When you leave the building, you'll find yourself outside the hospital in Mayfield with the Factory nowhere to be seen.
The Factory rooms are as follows:
Recovery: A large recovery room with dozens and dozens of gurneys and beds. It's filled with equipment like IVs and medical charts. This is where all characters will wake up. It's very unsanitary in here.
Operating room: Where you endured your surgery, treatment, and/or experiment. All operating and medical supplies are still here. Dr. Johnson is nowhere to be found.
Supply room: Standard medical supplies are found here. They include typical doctors' equipment, bandages, medicines, and the like. There's nothing particularly strong or lethal here, nor is there anything sharp which could be used as a weapon.
Lobby: The front lobby of the Factory. Designed like a hospital lobby, it also contains the waiting room. Dated 1950s magazines are strewn everywhere.
Today, January 30th, the following characters will be brought to the factory following their operations:
Rikku
Belphegor
Ilsa Higa
Terezi Pyrope
Equius Zahaak
Yukihina
Blue
Ivo Robotnik
Signless
Ichirin Kumoi
Bazett McRemitz
The Captain
Canada
Gamzee Makara
Poland
Hiccup
Dizzy
Mesousa
Flandre Scarlet
Haruhi Suzumiya
[ooc; The Factory post will be used for IC interactions for the 24 hours that your character will be made to stay. They are free to interact with other patients before their release. Only the above characters should reply to this post.
The mods will respond to the sign-up comments of the above characters to let them know the results of their surgery.]

I'm not sure I want to stay strong anymore.
I just...
[But before he can finish, a spurt of flame shoots out of his mouth, and Hiccup cries out in surprise and intense pain as the flame burns the inside of his mouth.
When it stops, he claps his hands over his mouth, his eyes screwed shut from the pain. He may not have been crying before, but he certainly is now.]

When she's sure he's not going to flame-broil her, she forces herself to get up from her own cot and go over to his. It's no easy feat, but the boy is terrified and so is she. Comforting him is priority number one right now, for both his nerves and hers.]
It's okay. I can be strong with you.
[She settles in next to him and gives him a very gentle hug. 'Personal space' is not something Rikku is very respectful of.]
It's easier to be strong when you have someone behind you. When they... tomorrow, we'll find a way to get you fixed up.

He just keeps his hands clamped over his burned mouth and quietly sobs.]

She's not sure what to do about the burned mouth situation, nor can she hold onto any thoughts long enough to actually put an idea to action.]
When I stop feeling so... tired, we should look for healing potions or something.

[She hopes. She sits up and looks around the recovery room. This place is a mess, and it doesn't look like there's anything that could help either of them here.]
I think we'll have to go outside of this room to look for potions, though. I know it hurts to move--it hurts when I move, anyway--but can you get up?

Gods it hurts. It still hurts most in his incredibly burned mouth, but the rest of him is sore and stiff and the memory of the surgery almost makes it unbearable.
He can get up. It just hurts.]

[Very carefully, she crawls off the bed. It hurts, and she pretty much doubles over in pain, but she takes a few deep breaths to try and push past it. If they can find potions, things will be better.
The pain persists after almost a full minute of slow, heavy breaths. Despite that, she looks over at her new friend.]
T-the sooner we find the potions, the less this will hurt. Nekrd?* Let's go.
(* Right?)

...well okay he doesn't really want to do either, since the first feels like giving up and the second hurts, but there's some part of him that would rather do something than nothing, so he'll very slowly drag himself off of the bed, still keeping one hand to his mouth, afraid of what might happen if he opens it.]

[Moving hurts, and she's pretty sure something is cutting up all of her insides, but Rikku slowly starts moving toward the nearest door out of the recovery room. Wrapping one arm around her torso doesn't do anything to help, but she does it without really thinking about it.
They get about ten, twenty feet before she can't take it anymore, crouching and moaning quietly in pain.]
Maybe... maybe we should crawl. I think they put something sharp inside of me, and walking just makes it worse...

Rikku is really not looking good, though. He bends down and puts a hand on her shoulder and takes his hand away from his mouth long enough to whisper hoarsely.]
Maybe you should stop.
no subject
I can't stop. That'd just be giving up. It's what they want, isn't it?
no subject
[But he can't blame her. He doesn't want her to get hurt, though... what's he supposed to do?
He sits on the floor next to her, confused.]
no subject
Don't worry about me, I'll be okay. We should keep going.
[And she starts to slowly crawl, although her coordination is shot by the fact that her hands are on the wrong wrists. Progress is excruciatingly slow, and she occasionally faceplants into the floor.]
... this was a better plan in my head.

[She slowly stands, then gives him an apologetic look.]
Hey, I know you're hurting, but... maybe you can kind of help me along? Let me lean on you a bit.
We're almost at the door.

And the wing.]

Thanks.
[And they hobble along into the next room.]
