I know what just happened must have been hard on everyone. But, if possible, I'd like to collect information on what went on inside each of the portals and gather it into one set of notes. I had only entered on the first day, a-and all we managed to find were some, um, boars.

[Sometime in the wee hours, when Silence is asleep, he received a note slipped through his window. That's what you get when you're dating a cat burglar. Crowe taps on the glass to wake him up before darting off into the night, hopefully before Silence is coherent enough to see him make his escape. The note says to meet him up at Makeout Point immediately. WHAT DO.]

[Silence is a light sleeper, since he technically doesn't need sleep at all; it's more or less just something he does to pass the time while the rest of the world is asleep. The tap wakes him immediately, and he lifts his head to look at the window. He makes his way over there warily, sword in hand - one never knows, in Mayfield - but finds, rather than any potential intruder, a note. He recognizes Crowe's handwriting, and while he's a bit bemused by both the method of delivery of the note and the strange timing of it, there's no question of his not going.

It's perhaps half an hour later when Silence arrives at Makeout Point; part of that is travel time, of course, and part of it is his having to get dressed in very elaborate clothing(the only kind he owns). He looks around for Crowe, smiling very faintly in puzzled amusement.]

[Crowe is sitting at the top of the hill, legs overhanging the small slope that makes it a "point", looking out into the night sky. When Silence approaches, he turns, but remains seated. He gives him a small, nervous smile.]

Hi. Have a seat?

[He sits down readily beside Crowe, close enough that their shoulders touch, giving him a warm smile that's nonetheless tinged with an air of curiosity. He doesn't sign any questions, doesn't even appear to ask any with an inquisitive turn of his head; he simply looks at Crowe expectantly, figuring that the boy will come out with the purpose for all this soon enough.]

[Crowe slips his hand under Silence's, entwining fingers. Crowe's always a nervous one, and it's obvious when he has something on his mind. He can't hide it. He looks off into the stars again.]

Thanks for coming. S-Sorry to surprise you like that, but, um. I-I had something to ask you. A-And I wanted to do it with no one else around.

[Silence shakes his head with a smile, his usual indication of "don't worry about it". He squeezes Crowe's fingers slightly, using the other to sign a very simple sentence - his ability to sign is slightly limited with one hand occupied.] What is it?

[Crowe lets out a quick breath, squaring his shoulders, in what seems like an attempt to steel himself for... something.]

Silence, y-you know that, um, I'm not very good with words. Ever. I, ah. But you do know that I love you. A lot. And... And I'm glad that, e-even with all the horrible things that Mayfield does, and how... fleeting things and friendships and relationships here can be, I-I don't regret anything for a second. As bad as it is, I have Mayfield to thanks f-for having you in my life. Either of us could be gone tomorrow, but every moment was worth it.

[Still looking off skyward, he relaxes a bit after getting that out. Even if he's noit done yet.]

Yeah, I was surprised, t-to be honest. But you never know who you'll meet in Mayfield, and what they can do.

[Having had some more time to process what exactly went on during the day she went in the portal, she felt more comfortable talking about it than she would have been a week or two ago. Not by much, though.]

The park is fine, I'll be at one of the benches. Just look for the person with silver and blue hair; I'm kind of hard to miss that way. See you there later then?

[Silver and blue hair? Well, it was a hair color she was sort of used to, one of her old party members having the same colored hair, so it'd be easy enough for her to spot.]

Okay, I'll be out there right now. Uh, I have a really long braid of hair, if that'll help? [It was hard to think of any other unique identifiers, still wearing Mayfield-style clothes.] Oh, I'll also have a red hairband and black ribbons. But yes, see you there.

[And so she went to the park, passing by the benches. I hope I'm looking in the right spot...]

[There's a tall man sitting on one of the benches, reading a book and petting a white cat that's sitting beside him. He's got that very obvious hair he mentioned. When she approaches, he looks up.]

Really helps the mood when you're not hallucinating dead people, you know? [Margot, you crazy.]

But, uh, yeah... Third day. It was some sort of flying ship heading towards a city. There were a bunch of drones on it that didn't have faces and they went nuts when the boat started going down.

Boat? Faceless drones... that's a new one, as far as I remember.

A flying boat -- I don't know what you guys would call it. And yeah, no, none of them had faces. Everything else about them was normal except for that.
