37th Blood | This isn't fun anymore
[Phone | Unfiltered]
So yea...I've been here for a while, and got pretty used to all the stupid stuff that goes on here. It was all pretty weird but you could kind of get used to it after a while, and even start predicting when stuff would happen.
[There's a long pause before Arcueid speaks again. She doesn't really sound afraid, just maybe a little nervous.]
This is different...isn't it?
[Action | All around town | Late night]
[Once the moon had come up, Arcueid had decided to take stock of what might be going on around town. No goofy Phantasmoon, no silly antics, she's just moving about like a vampire do.
You may find her sitting on your roof, laying on the grass, or maybe just actually walking around like a normal person. The woman seems a little bit worn out tonight, no whimsical fancies to deal with.
Feel free to bug her, she'd probably appreciate it, actually.]

But if joy lasts forever, or for a short time, what does it hurt? Even I laughed and drank wine, and fought and matched wits with my Mournival brothers, before we broke from each other.

I'm not. It's different for a True Ancestor. Immortal human or not you can still hang out with humans.

The rest turned into something I still have to kill.

If the town's falling apart they might all end up dead, anyway. Not sure how it will effect me, though.

Perhaps even you can be slain. And if so, what does it hurt to get attached? Even Terra itself will die, when the sun grows old and becomes a Red Giant before burning out. We have only the time we have.

That's just the way things are.
[She even says it with a smile, too.]

What is so wrong as thinking of yourself as a person, instead of an instrument of destruction?
It may well balance your decision to fight, rather than making a mistake you cannot take back.
It might even... save you?

I am something made just to kill certain things, you know. Something needed to be able to kill fallen True Ancestors.
It's my job, and I intend to keep doing it. I'll just outlive everyone else anyway so what's the point? Even if I die here I wonder if I'll be re-created in my own world.

[ He gives her a strange look, like one of the recognition. ]

Nope, that's all there is to it.
