event: portal seven | the void

The final portal doesn't seem to be a portal at all. It's a glitch hole.
Located on the lawn of the library is a hole much like the ones that have plagued every new location for the past week. As with them, it hurts your eyes to look at too long, but even if you should muscle past the pain and stare straight into it, you can make out nothing on the other side. Nothing, save for a shifting, twitching, swirling void.
Unlike the portals, which were vertically placed like doorways, the hole at the Library is strewn across the lawn: if you want to enter it, you're going to have to jump. Of course, there's no guarantee it will even lead anywhere. Touching the hole or sticking your arm in doesn't have any effect: you'll pull your arm out unharmed. As far as jumping in completely goes, those who jump in disappear from sight. As long as you're on the Mayfield side, there's no way to tell what lies beyond the hole.
There's only one way to find out.
[ooc: Feel free to roleplay up to the point your characters jump in, assuming they do. A single group subthread will be created in a few hours revealing what happens on the other side.]

[Yuki'll find out soon, if Merem's retained his abilities as a Planet Terminal - and willing to take that suggestion up.]

[Sorry to put a damper on that plan. Ciel, you're the only human right now.]
I could just walk on over and find a human from over there who would be willing to take ownership of one.

Wishing for the assured survival of all currently present is not feasible?

...
But right, there was this talk of a crocodile with a pink bow once upon a time, wasn't there...... She glances back at Yuki.]
It doesn't work like that. Merem needs to be informed of all the specifics - or parameters, if you will, that a creature should possess in order to bring it into existence. You would be the best-suited to list all the requirements it ought to meet to assist most efficiently with the defense. These can then be adapted into fantastical traits after.

[Shrug.]

[Yuki will lower her eyes briefly before returning her gaze to Ciel.]
A creature ideally adapted for defense would have identical dimensions as the safety zone scaled down to a sufficient degree to minimize the possibility of being lost to natural void fluctuation while still retaining a size capable of covering everyone within. Locomotion must be smooth and predictive of the velocity of the movement of the safety zone. A permeable membrane would allow for the exchange of gases necessary for human survival while remaining impossible to puncture or injure. Ideally, the membrane would be semi-transparent to allow for visibility of those within. Stability must be high. All attack must be deflected without affecting the trajectory of the creature's movement.
[No imagination. All she is proposing is a smaller impenetrable bubble inside the bubble.]

so basically another barrier

as a human not utterly devoid of imagination, it's... pretty obvious to see once Yuki's done. Ciel isn't lax enough to rub her face though, so she's just going to
look thoughtful for a moment while she keeps walking and absently continuing to fling Keys in the meanwhile. They're still nailing reaching hands with flawless accuracy, so that's something right...]

How does that sound?
[Sorry Yuki, your original concept has to be reworked a little, but hopefully this is still doable...]

[Well, she asked for it. Thankfully, ten feet is within his Mayfield set limits. Instead of firing giant laser beams of doom, the front protrusion now vibrates and constantly adjusts the vibrations to the environment to help with that sound issue.
Instead of regeneration, if it gets harmed, it just shrinks in size to compensate for the lost amount of....jelly, effectively healing the wound. Hey, it could probably hold people in the jelly.]

That will suffice.
[Organic creatures were certainly very interesting.]

Giving a small nod to Yuki before peering back at Merem.]
Will it be intelligent enough to roam on its own?
no subject
[Haha, low blow.]
Perhaps we should leave it to Yuki to make sure it's placed most effectively.

[Yuki will point towards the weakest section of the bubble, the area she had pointed out earlier.]
