act 4: Breaking the boredom barrier

[Sonic is busy training himself, using his hammock as a makeshift resistance machine. Shadow's droning has only made him much more focused on bettering himself to help people get out when the time to escape this place has come. He's hoping that he'll be able to get his speed back to full power by doing this exercise.]

Ok...ok. A few more reps to go. Then spin dash training.

[Action B: Around town. Also open to all.]

[Sonic is speeding through town, feeling competitive today; a result of his training. He's doing all kinds of tricks to show off as much as possible. If you have a speedster that wants to challenge him, or if you just want to bug him, flag him down!]

Yep. Trying to get back to my peak. Thought I might be able to get an edge on the town by re-learning my techniques without them giving them back. But for that, I need my speed up.

[Though, he still has technically years of running to catch up with.]

[Flag down, nothing. You're not the only blue blur in town, Sonic, and Scout will be damned if he's going to let anyone show him up. Just as Sonic is taking a leap over something, someone is beside him doing the same thing. Only, he seems to launch himself off of nothing as he leaps again, covering some serious ground.]

[he'll corkscrew around and into a spin dash, bouncing rapidly off of lightposts.]

[Oh. Welkl Scout can't spin dash, of course, but he can redouble his efforts and run faster. He's got some Bonk left too, in case he needs it, but he'll save it. Grimacing, he'll jump off a light post, too, and the double-jump in order to catch up to Sonic. His landing is a bit shaky, but he keeps upright.]

Nice landing! I haven't met too many humans that can ricochet like that!

[He'll sprint off into a slide directly under a car.]
