Fourth Oath of the moment: Only war
1 On the phone, filtered from drones. Anyone who wishes to learn close combat as an Astartes does, let me know. I have the proper tools now for full instruction now.
2 2237 Stevens Road, back yard [ A huge, articulated metal cage now stands in Garviel's backyard, along with some sort of strange, cybernetic-looking thing made out of pale human flesh and absurdly elaborate metal parts. It has blade-limbs, and a strange visor in the place of eyes, bulked out with gene-bred muscle and metal hoses that run all over the torso, back, arms and legs. It squares off with the huge, unarmored astartes, who is stripped to the waist, the black neural connections of the surgically implanted carapace beneath his skin showing clearly. He holds a eagle-etched Spatha and a roaring chainsword as he growls at the Servitor. ] Level 10, maximum lethality.
3 Makeout Point [ Evening, an armored figure stares down and out over the town, holding a huge cannon-like weapon in his arms, a silent sentinel cast silver in the moonlight. Dare you approach? ]
2 2237 Stevens Road, front yard [ Garviel is out cleaning off a huge battletank, picking some remains of bone and other material out of the treads of the adamantine treads of the Land Raider. The tank is large enough to dwarf the huge space marine. ]

...Haruko sounds about right.
[The brownies are still being held at arm's length, as though they're some sort of protective, chocolately ward between her and him.]

Although she hesitated and looked around awkwardly.]
Anywhere that I should set them?

You fear me.

[Another blink. Then another.]
You're enormous.

...In my experience, it's best to be cautious around the enormous ones, until you're certain of their opinion on you.
[She's trying for a poker face, herself. There's still fear creeping through, though.]

[The honesty is kind of refreshing. Also alarming, seeing as the giant man has not entirely ruled out the need to kill her.
Time to get the formalities over with, then. If there's a death in her future, best to get it all over with.]
I'm a vampire. In my immediate defense? I've been on this street for a few months now and haven't done anything more hideous than eating some drones.

[She's making an effort not to smile... but there's something about her attempted poker face that seems more relaxed now. She steps back, gauges his reaction, and then continues the rest of the way to the mailbox. The brownies are deposited inside.]
...what was your name again?
no subject
[ Just like on the mailbox. ]

Also, perhaps, for Garviel's conviction.]
The largest one would have to be the most unrelenting...
[A faint hiccup of a laugh escapes her. She looks about ready to leave.]

I'm Natalie Waters. Best of luck slaying the Foes of Humanity, Garviel Loken.
[If she had more of her power, now would be a lovely time to just vanish. But she can't. So she'll have to just walk on down the street, which is much less dramatic.]
