3rd Worm

[Phone]

I got a call today from the elementary school asking me to turn in my curriculum for next year.  Is that kind of thing normal?  Did the rest of you get your jobs this way?  I guess it could be worse, though - teaching spelling to a bunch of kids doesn't sound that bad.

[Action; Mayfield General Store]

[Well, with job-related things out of the way, Kariya has decided to focus on more immediate concerns - shopping for food for that picnic he promised to take Rin and Sakura on.  He can be found in various places throughout the store loading up on all kinds of things - lunchmeat and all sorts of fresh veggies for sandwich fixings, sodas and other kinds of easily portable drinks, and so on.  He's pretty sure that Rider and Lancer are going to crash the party too, so the cart's getting pretty full since he's planning on feeding three people and two Servants.]

I understand. And does she know about the condition of your crest? Does she have a method to help you adjust to it?

Do you have any backup plans, just in case? Or are you saving that for when you receive your crest back?

...And if there was a possibility that one of the residents here has the ability to find you a cure, would you cooperate with them?

Yes, I suppose it would work that way.

I understand. But if you ever need to deal with your crest, there is a resident called Fran Madaraki. I believe she might have the surgical skill to, at least, ease any painful complications.

Yes, she is. You might need to wait a while for her to do her research, though.

That might be for the best. Now there is just the matter of the experimental sample...

I do not believe she has encountered your type of condition before. Therefore, it only makes sense for her to experiment another sample, so she will know what works and what does not work without harming you.

[A pause.]

Do not worry about Sakura or Rin. I have not spoken to them about this, and I doubt they will be involved.

All you need is a magus with an analogous crest. I know that on some level, all crests serve the same function and thus should be analogous, but I am not sure to what degree.

She will not be. But...how different is your crest from that of, say...the Tohsaka clan?

...Huh? How does it differ from a normal crest? Is it not an accumulation of magic circuits?

...I understand. You can talk it out with Madaraki if you ever have the need.
