[Yuna's out for some basketball practice as usual, but today she's decided to have a little bit more fun with it than usual. She's always wanted to try a real dunk shot, since it looks so cool in live action shows. So after she's done with her usual drills with dribbling, free throws, three point shots, and the like, she can be found taking full speed headlong runs straight at the hoop, trying to get enough lift to slam the ball straight through the hoop. Of course, she isn't having much luck with it - she's only 5'3", after all, and these are regulation hoops she's dealing with here. Even still, Yuna is nothing if not determined, so she'll keep on trying for as long as her stamina holds out.]

Geez... they make this look so easy on TV!

[Or you might catch her when she's finally tired herself out, sitting on the bleachers. She's got a towel with her, wiping some sweat from her forehead while she drinks from a plastic water bottle. Either way, she's spending the better part of the afternoon here today.]

Are you a teacher at the school or something?

I know that feeling. [ All too well, in fact, thanks to having a month without her magic at all. ]

I was assigned a position as guidance counselor, actually. Fate still has her teaching job as far as we know.

You seem like you'd be pretty good at that job.

Thank you, Yuna. [ That's almost modesty, right? ] Do you enjoy attending class?

Actually, it's pretty boring most of the time.

You seem like the kind that enjoys a challenge.

I think I just got spoiled having an exciting class back home.

I suppose some part of this town has to be dull, otherwise we would never have any rest. [ Much-needed rest, at that. ]

Yeah, I guess that's one way of looking at it.

Is there something you would rather do with your downtime? A hobby, or games, or even training? Anything like that.

Training sounds good.

[ Smiling. ] What do you usually do? Besides sports, that is. I've taken to morning jogs with Hayate, and then some target practice away from the town, since I am still rather limited.

Yeah, I like jogging too. And swimming in the summer, or just laying around on the front lawn soaking up some sun. I wish we had a beach somewhere.

[ A quiet laugh. ] Tanning was not the kind of training I was expecting... but I agree, a beach would be nice. It would be a shame not to use those new swimsuits. [ After she had gone through the effort of dragging Booster around to blast her friends, too. ]

Oh, I thought you just meant for fun! Yeah, jogging is most of the rest of my training routine, but I do go up to the mountain sometimes to practice my magic too. I really just know the one spell, though.

There's nothing that says it can't be for both, but right now I was more curious about your conditioning. [ Habit. ] What sort of spell is that?

A basic fire spell. It's called Magic Archer. It can actually be any element, but that ended up being the one I was the most comfortable using.

Most mages from my world, if they are aligned with an element at all, can only manage one. I'd like to see your technique sometime, if you don't mind.

Well, yeah... the others just kind of didn't work when I tried. But yeah, I can show you sometime! It's not that impressive, but I'm just starting out.

I won't be grading you, don't worry. [ She says with a wink. ] Everyone has to start somewhere.

Which reminds me... Vivio recently received a movie back from her collection back home. I also found someone who has the equipment set up for us to view it, so I'd like to invite you to see it with us, soon.

[ With a hum of amusement. ] I'm trying to keep that part a secret for the time being. But I think it will be both fun and enlightening.

Oooooh, a secret, huh? Then I'll definitely be there!

Mmhmm. I'll call you when we have the date all sorted out. Everyone from home will be there, as well as some new friends and children from our houses here.

There should be plenty of room for all of us.
