[Action: 1763 Beaver Street]

[It wasn't often that Claire found herself waking up in an unfamiliar place. It seemed that lately in her life, waking up under such circumstances meant immediate danger, and she decided to react to it accordingly.

She jumped out of the bed--practically fell out, really--and put her back up against the wall. Whose clothes were these, anyway? She would never have worn these awful yellow pajamas. She scanned the utterly unassuming room once over before she finally noticed someone else shared the room with her. It was some man she had never seen in her life, she was sure. He had been sharing the bed with her and was still asleep.]

What?

[In full panic mode now, Claire had little interest in staying in the room any longer. Not even stopping to examine closely the house she had found herself in, she began a search for the exit. She stopped once to grab a plain black umbrella in the hall and wielded it like a club as she made her way out the front door.

She stopped at the front step, holding up one hand to block the incoming sun. Claire found herself gawking at the suburban environment that surrounded her]

Just what the hell is going on around here?

[Phone]

[There's a bit of a sigh on Claire's end. She's really trying not to sound too frustrated] I really have no idea what's going on. Well, I do, but- [A pause]

... Okay. I'm trying not to freak out. I'm accomplishing that so far, I think.

[She clears her throat] Anyway.

My name is Claire Redfield. If that name sounds familiar to anybody, then please, please, can you try to reach me? I'm trying to look for some people and it's possible they ended up here as well. Or at least, I hope so. [She's about to add 'or maybe not', because really, did she want them to be kidnapped as well? Especially in some place as nonsensical as this? She decides to just put the phone down, fearing that anything else she had to say would just sound strained]

No, it's not like that, really. This place doesn't seem that bad, or maybe it is, I'm not sure, but...

I've just been searching for one of them for a very long time. This really complicates things.

Well chances are ya won't find 'em here. Unless they came with you, and that almost never happens.

Honestly? I think you're right. Things hardly seem to work out so conveniently. Maybe they'll end up here sometime later, but yeah, that's probably just cruel.

[A deep breath] Just hard to wrap my head around it.

Believe me, I know. I've woken up here twice now.

Twice? Man, that must be awful.

Anyway yeah, don't worry, I got the rundown. Also got a pretty good idea how dangerous this place can be. Do I have to worry about the family drones? I don't think I'll get used to them. Ever.

I only got th' one, and I usually lock her in the basement. She don't seem t' mind, usually just puts around and does laundry. But they're not dangerous or nothin' just .... unsettling.

Well, that's a relief. I'd hate to have to play house with that creep. I definitely did not plan on becoming anyone's wife anytime soon. This morning was just frightening.

Though, I guess I'm expected to be the mother around the house. Joy.

Nah, the most he'll do is rail at ya. I doubt he'd actually attack ya or anything. They're pretty docile most 'f the time. Probably because they ain't even real people.

Yeah, I ain't thrilled about bein' father t' two anklebiting sheila's that just whinge and lurk around th' house.

[She's smiling at that. She almost found herself chuckling]

Not good with children, I take it? I thought the drone children would be easier to deal with.

I might loike 'em better if they were drones. Then I could jus' shoot 'em when they got on my nerves. But they're both real people. 'Least one of 'em is quiet and the other ain't around that much.

I'm not sure that's a good idea, even if they were drones. The way you describe them, they don't sound that bad at all.

Just annoying. I used t' 'ave a drone son that always pestered me t' teach him baseball and wanted to show me his homework and take him to the movies.

Least the real ones don't do that.

Ah, so the typical young boy of old. The drone kid here is a girl, so I'll probably be seeing a lot of her.

Couldn't they choose a more recent time period to base this place off of? Might be a bit more exciting, then.

Probably not. Ya don't remember this place when ya get home anyway. So you can go ahead an' tell me who won what wars and it won't change nothin'.

Don't ask me how it's workin', some of th' blokes around here ain't even from Earth.

Oh good, I was worried stepping on a bug here might destroy the universe or something. [She says it a bit nervously. Despite her words, there's some disbelief behind them]

I probably wouldn't understand if I did get any answers. I'll just duck down and try not to go crazy thinking about it all.

If that was th' case we'd all be in big trouble.

Just wait till people start dying and coming back. Or gettin' droned.

Yeah. For a good long while apparently. Enough t' thoroughly rile up everyone who knew me. Don't even know what I did.

Seems t' be. Though some people have been stuck loike that a lot longer than others.

Might not have been anything. Might have been random. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.
