[There's a small little boy walking around town. A flat cap pulled down over his eyes, and a brown jacket even in the middle of July. His outfit choice looks a couple decades out of date, too, although the clothes are definitely from the right era. Fashion statement?

Seemingly lost in his thoughts, Czeslaw Meyer-Stanfield is not paying much attention to where he is going. He passes by houses, by shops, by people. He might accidentally bump into people, at which point he will blink the surprise away and smile sheepishly, with a natural-sounding]

Oh...! Oh, I'm sorry [mister, or miss]. I guess I wasn't watching where I was going. I didn't mean to run into you. Good afternoon!

[Nope. Nope. Nope nope nope. He can't handle this family arrangement. His "mother" won't let him hole up in his room, though, so he's sitting in a chair in the corner of the front room watching the door so he'll never be surprised by his "father"'s homecoming.]

Dunno, I just got a letter sayin' I needed to prank a couple people for April Fools. It...didn't go as planned.

Hn...? [He looks at him, totally confused. He's only ever seen the Murderous Leer and the Cocky Smirk and the "Charming" Smile on this man's face before. It's surreal seeing him make other faces.]

I couldn't think of anythin' to do, I tried settin' up a couple traps but no one fell for 'em. The whole thing was a bust from the beginning. [See, Czes, he isn't a monster after all!]

What kind of traps did you set? [No he's still 99% convinced that your traps were probably worthy of your Vino reputation.]

Just the usual eraser in the door, holes in the ground, molasses on a door nob....stuff like that. [And he didn't use a 1 ton eraser or molasses lased with acid either.]

Yeah. It's sad. I worked so hard tryin' to come up with those too!

[cursedtolive]

Uh... [This guy looks sincerely mournful.] I'm sorry.

Nah, it's okay. I mean I did get somethin' out of it right. Even if it was yours. Though I still sometimes wonder why the letter was so...oddly specific about makin' people cry, you know?

[Czes falls quiet for a few seconds.] ... Well I'm glad I wasn't there when you had to do that.

[railtracer]

You probably wouldn't 've been on the list even if you were. Most of the people on there were people I never heard of before. Maybe that's why no one fell for it! If I knew them, maybe I would've found better pranks for 'em.

Well, that might be true. [He shakes his head quickly to clear it. Why is he having this discussion with this man? What has his life come to?]

You're probably wonderin' why we're having this talk. I can't really say myself, but hey you know you did ask where I got the scalpel.
