Tale 009: Intel and regains

754 Partridge Drive

[Henry has opened up the mail to find a card and a certain walkie talkie. He flips the card over as it shows a picture of a castle. Blinking, he looks out the window, to see in the back that his castle in the backyard. Not destroyed like Regina had done to it. A smile broadens on his face.] (Locked to house mates)

[Later]

[Henry is waiting for those he called on the phone to show up.] (Opened to all.)

 

Phone [Filtered from the drones and The mayor and the Lucy household] 

[So after the horrors of the Carnival, Henry is on the phone and has filtered this call.]

It's Henry. I made it back from the Carnival thanks to Lucas and I managed to find some stuff out. I'm not going to share it over the phonelines, even if it's filtered it might be too dangerous. So come to 754 Partridge Drive. I'll be in the back yard in my castle.

[notalady]

[Not replying, just heading straight to his backyard and hollering at him. She'd climb up on the castle with him, but she's not alone. A direwolf, almost as tall as she is is tagging along at her heels. She also has her sword at her side. Regains were kind to her.]

[Sorry, Henry's brain has turned off as he see's the giant dog. Yup, regains were kind indeed. He shakes his head looking back to Arya.]

Arya! It's good to see you! I found some stuff out while at the Carnival. But, it looks like you got some cool things back from the Town.

[notalady]

I have Needle! And this is Nymeria. [She gestures to the direwolf, who comes up and sits placidly beside her.]

Why do I see these two getting crushes on one another? XD

Needle? That's what you call your sword?

[He looks to the direwolf and smiles.]

Hi Nymeria. [Gonna extend a hand out slowly at try and pet her on the nose.]

So did anything happen in Mayfield while I was gone?

Because it would be adorable?

[notalady]

All the best swords have names.

[Nymeria will allow it, just because he seems alright with her human.]

Mostly it was trying to figure out how to get you guys back.

Really? That's pretty cool.

But, oh, I see...sorry about worrying you all.

[notalady]

Be careful. She bites. [But she seems pretty okay with Henry. As long as Arya is there.]

It's not your fault. It's the town.

I will. [Still petting her though.]

Hm...yeah....Hey, Arya...do you think you could teach me how to use a sword?

[notalady]

I'm still learning. [She bites her lip.] But I could try! It's better than nothing, right?

[theboywiththebook]

Yeah, definitely. I've never used one before, so you know, you're better.

[notalady]

We'll have to get you a practice sword.

[theboywiththebook]

Yeah, I don't think it'd be good putting me with holes when we start practicing.

[notalady]

I wouldn't. [A little grin. There's an unspoken "I like you" there.]

[theboywiththebook]

I know, I trust you.

[notalady]

[Grin!] So what did you find?

[theboywiththebook]

These.

[He hands Arya a flyer, news paper clipping, and a conversation he copied.]

[notalady]

[Wow. That's...something else. Her face flashes from interested, to grossed out, to confused as she rifles through the papers.]

Good thing I don't drink the milk anyway.

[Disgusting bits out of the way...] "Enhanced Reality Programming?" "Suspended Animation?" What's that supposed to mean?

[theboywiththebook]

Yeah, same.

[Her question on this though, Henry has to think. He's pretty sure she's not from any modern time, because well he's sure she's mentioned her home before. So he can't go into things like computers and stuff. So he'll try and use fairy tales to explain it.]

I think...it's like we're all having the same dream but we're all aware of it. But, someone else is in control of what happens in it. The suspended animation...um...I think it's like we're in an enchanted sleep.

[notalady]

[Good thinking, Henry. She hands him back the papers and scratches Nymeria's head while she thinks.]

So we need to find out how it works and who is in control of it.

Well, actually, I know who is in control. Lucas told me.

It's a girl named Lucy Smith. But, we can't go and confront her. She's got some sort of power that could get a lot of people hurt.

Lucy Smith is actually that Zemekis guy.

[notalady]

Right. I remember hearing that.

So we need to figure out how her power works. [So we can work around it, obviously.]

[theboywiththebook]

And if we can cut her off from it, she'd be like anybody else!

[notalady]

Exactly!

[theboywiththebook]

Hm...well I don't think it's in the dairy. I've been told there's something else in there that keeps people coming back.

Maybe in the mayor's office? But that's to obvious.
