When Audrey wakes up, there are two packages waiting for her, which isn't normal but is pretty exciting. The first box has the dress she was going to wear for her birthday party-- cool! The second box... Well, it's empty. That's disappointing. All that's in it is a picture of her mural from back home; yeah, it's nice to have a reminder of it, since that crazy baby man destroyed it, but what's she supposed to do with a picture...?

... She nearly falls all over herself running to the backyard, but it's worth it. There it is, right there on the back of the house. Her mural.

Jumping up and down is totally the appropriate reaction, right?]

[But, of course, an artist's work is never done, so Audrey will be on a quest to find herself some paint! You may find her:

A. Standing outside of the hardware store, looking pretty put out. Apparently, painting a house is too far into the man's realm for the drone's taste.

B. After she's finagled someone into getting her paint, she'll be rolling the cans home!

[I mean, you can regain any physical object, so he shouldn't be too surprised, but a mural isn't all that... solid. It would be terrible if it came back as a mushy cardboard box of mixed paint, or something.]

Really? I mean, it's not any crazier than getting back, I don't know... the ability to fly, or a dress you haven't worn yet. Oh, or a giant fighting robot! It's not like you can fit that in a box.

True, true. It simply wasn't something that had occurred to me. Does it fit dimensionally on the new house? I can't imagine your one back home was built on exactly the same design.

It's on a slightly different scale; my house was a lot taller and skinnier than the houses here. [she demonstrates this with her hands] But, it's still pretty proportional! I just need to add in all the new things I learned about here.

They won't let me buy anything in this store! I don't get it; I brought money...

Oh, I know why. This town has some pretty strange conceptions when it comes to the roles of husbands and wives, you see. They won't give you things from this store. If you make up some nonsense about it being for your husband, they let it go, or so people tell me. I'm going in anyway, so if you need help, I might be able to get something for you.

I don't even have a husband, so I'd be pretty much out of luck. [/15]

Um, do you think you could get me some paint? House paint, I mean, whatever colors they have.

[Greed is on his way out of the hardware store when he sees her there looking a bit downtrodden. He's been there long enough to know the drones wouldn't sell her much more than gardening supplies.]

Because they're crazy. Do you know what colors you want? I could lie and tell them you're my kid, but they have a knack for knowing who belongs to who. Though, I could say I offered to paint your room for you.

C'mon. I think that should work.

Wow, I hope so!

[she starts counting off colors on her fingers as they go in] Okay, I need red, purple, yellow, lots of blue, green, orange...

Greed's eyes go wide as her list goes on.]

Yeah, I think I better try an' convince them that I'm gonna paint your room for you and let you pick out the colors.

[He holds open the door for her.]

[Once they get passed the drone salesmen, Greed leads her to the paint aisle.]

[Yeah, you see that aisle full of paint cans?

They are all stacked on the floor in neat little color-coded piles in under five minutes. How she did that with her weak little noodle arms is anybody's guess.]

Okay, I think that'll do it!

[He looks from the stacks of paint cans to her.]

Uh, you got some way to get all of that home?

[He heads to the front for a moment, then makes his way back.]

If ya need any help getting it home, I could come back with the car to load them up in if you don't mind waiting.

[He's a bit surprised, but nods.]

[Groot was really just passing by when he heard the strange ruckus from a nearby house. And after everything that just happen, he'd rather be safe than sorry, so he runs over to see what's going on.]

[Oh, it's just some silly girl happy about something. Well, that's what Groot gets for assuming the worse. Best be on his way before he makes even more of a fool of himself. Turning around though, he actual sees the mural on the back of the house now and he just stops short.]

I see... Trees... I must say, the planet I'm from has quite a few other types of trees besides my people, and I have seen quite a few other trees on other planets, but I have never seen trees such as this. Just what are they called?

Truffula trees! They're from my world-- well, they used to be, anyway. They're almost all gone, now.

I see, I'm sorry to hear that. Are they hard to grow? Even if they're almost all gone, it might not be hard to get a small area set aside to help them repopulate.

Um... The person who chopped down all the trees also made the entire valley completely inhospitable for all living things. [a pause] Accidentally.

Also, there was only one seed left. It's a pretty complicated situation.

That's a tragedy, I must say, but how were you able to survive in such an environment?

And is that seed safe? After all, many plants can reproduce asexually, so even one seed can help revive the species. Though it would be rather devoid of genetic diversity...

[She can't help it; she's just grinning from the girl to the mural like an idiot. This is so cool, especially since any unpleasant connections to certain things she's recently learned aren't clicking right away.]

Well, it's in October, so it already passed back home, but... I'm not really sure how this place works. Am I turning fifteen again, or am I sixteen now? [the eternal question]
