[Action; 7135 Brooks; outside]

[There's a bit of a belated package arriving today for Rarity.  Of course, never having gotten back anything terribly debilitating or depressing yet, she gently unwraps it right away to see what's inside.  A small photograph of her live-in dress shop in Ponyville, Carousel Boutique, floats up out of the package propelled by her magic before disappearing in a flash.  At the same time, behind Rarity, there is now a large circus tent top situated on top of the Kadoya household, forming a new top floor to the structure.  Surprised, she whirls around and silently regards the new addition to the house for a moment before breaking into a smile.]

My goodness, what a generous offering!  I wonder what I did to deserve something like this!

[Action; 7135 Brooks; inside]

[Housemates will notice Rarity busybodying around the house all day long, moving things from the small spare bedroom she's been afforded to sleep and work in up until now and floating them upstairs to the house's new third story.  There's much more space up there, after all, and it's much closer to the sort of lodgings she's used to.  She'll be in and out and back and forth all day, periodically leaving the house to come back with curtains and small pieces of furniture and all sorts of things.]

Oh, so much to do!  Busy busy busy!

I think I'll be okay with this.

All right. Go ahead and make yourself comfortable, then, while I get things ready.

[Rarity sets about being a good host, getting out the teapot and serving tray and such.]

(And Twilight will go right ahead and do so, looking around the room as she does so.)

[A few minutes later, out comes Rarity with the tea set floating along in front of her.]

Here you are, Twilight.

(Twilight will float her cup right on over, taking a sip. It wasn't great, but at least there was tea to drink.)

You must have plenty of plans lined up now that you have a part of the boutique back, don't you?

Most of them involve redecorating for the time being, but yes, I have a few things in mind.

Well that's always great! And once you're all set up, I'm sure you'll get plenty of commissions to work with.

I've been practicing my magic since getting a tutor and I think it's coming along well. It's all from a different world, so it's really exciting!

Oh, that does sound exciting for you! What sorts of things have you been learning?

[magicalrealist]

The main thing I've learned is their form of non-lethal combat called danmaku. They're essentially arrays of bullets in beautiful patterns that are based off of one's special abilities and talents.

The other main thing I've learned is magic based off of the Wu Xing, which functions almost exactly like the Elements of Harmony. They consist of five elements as well as the sun and the moon, but Patchouli herself told me that you can make almost any kind of spell with the right combination of elements.

It sounds like you've found yourself quite a knowledgeable teacher!

[magicalrealist]

I do. She even has her own library, just like me! We share quite a few things in common, including our potential for magic! I think that's what helped us get along so easily.

[prissy_hooves]

Well, I suppose some things are the same no matter where you go. I've found several humans who share my love of fashion and sense of style too, for instance.

That's wonderful! DO you have any favorites so far?

[prissy_hooves]

Favorite humans, you mean?

[magicalrealist]

Yes, exactly.

[prissy_hooves]

Well, if I had to choose a favorite... it would probably be Kreutzer. Or perhaps Mr. Grimsley.

[magicalrealist]

Oh, I've met Kreutzer before...I don't think I know anyone named Grimsley, though. What's he like?

[prissy_hooves]

Very polite and regal. He's apparently royalty himself!

[magicalrealist]

Really? Well, you are a Canterlot pony at heart; he might've picked up on that.

[prissy_hooves]

You really think so?

[Rarity smiles, lifting a hoof to primp a bit.]

[magicalrealist]

Definitely. If you could get those connections with Canterlot's highest class ponies, then I'm sure he already has the idea in his head.

[prissy_hooves]

Ah, if only he were a pony himself... a filly could really fall for a guy like that.

[magicalrealist]

It just goes to show how much humans and ponies really have in common.

[prissy_hooves]

They're really quite a lot like us, except for the way they look.

[magicalrealist]

Of course. It's definitely nice to have so much in common with a completely different species.
