Invasion 12: The Real Call to Arms (Back date before zombies)

[Keroro would normally be happy about surviving another sick game the town threw him in; especially if he got some Gundam models as a reward. This time it seemed so empty. He couldn't even bring himself to even open the boxes.]

[Maybe it was because the "children" of the house were now perma-drones who insisted to call him doggy. He never thought he'e use the dog house again but he sought shelter from the drones one that school was out. If you poke your head into the yard, you might even hear some sniffling.]

Stupid Varon-dono, he could've at least waited until I got these Gunpla before he got drones.

[He got better and decided to make a phone call.]

Ah, ah, can everyone hear me? This Keroro, de arimasu. You might remember that Nyanpire-dono called a while back about making a group for everyone the town thinks as a pet? We are serious about but this I promise we're not gonna invade anyone, de arimasu. I haven't been here as long as some of you, but I'm sick of being kicked out of places and treated lowly just because I'm not a Peko, ah sorry, a human, de arimasu.

What do you guys say? If you're interested, we should arrange a meeting time and place.

He had come to this address the moment he got his D-Pad and gazer in the mail really- though he hadn't spoken to Varon for a little bit, he'd known he was still there at least...

Well. That was the case before the 'event' at least. It's fairly evident when he catches sight of the droned teen walking into his house that this isn't the case, and he's more or less glad, in a dull sense, that he didn't shout his name in the end.

...And then he hears sniffing...

...He probably shouldn't be slipping into anyone's backyard, but he's going to do it anyways, because he's pretty sure that's not the sound of a drone. "...Hello?"

Keroro! It's... ...A blue guy.

Hope you don't have sensitive ears because freak out moment in 3, 2, 1....

"Gero?! Who, what, huh?!"

He wasn't expecting anyone to bother him but once he calmed down, he gets out of the dog house.

"Uh...hi. Sorry about that, de arimasu." And nope, he's not phased by the blue skin.

Good thing you're not phased because OH GOD he heard you from the front yard, he's gonna go deaf if you do that again- "NGH-" OW OW OW OW-

He'll just rub his ears a little before responding. "Ah... That is fine..." It's... ...Some sort of frog thing?

Oh well. "Ah... Who are you, exactly..?"

"Oh, me? I'm Sargent Keroro but Keroro is just fine. Before you ask, I'm a Keronian, an alien frog-like species." He even gives a salute.

"So, uh, what brings you here?"

"Aah. Pleased to meet you then, Keroro." He'll give a smallish salute himself- he's not entirely familiar with the action though. Ahhh...

As for what brought him here however, he looks back to the house. "Nn... I had promised someone I would show them this-" he begins, holding out the d-pad with its loaded card disk. "...And that we could perhaps have a game together. However..." He sighs. "No doubt you yourself know of why this is now impossible." ...What with you living here and all.

"Gero...yeah, so you were friends with Varon-dono then? I'm sorry you had to learn about his state like this, de arimasu." Of course he's curious about the d-pad. He was curious about those cards but never did got a chance to ask about them.

"Those cards...Varon-dono had those on him. Are you guys from the same world?"

"Aah. It is fine... ...It happened to both adults in my current home before. Admittedly, I did not think..." He glances toward the house and sighs, sitting down.

"In a sense, we were- however, his time came far before mine. The technology of the devices, and the cards utilized, were likely quite different. I had hoped to show him what the 'D-Pad' was capable of compared to the 'Duel Disk' of his time."

Don't mind Keroro; he's distracted by the shiny. It's no Gundam or mecha of any sort but hey it looks like technology that could be on par with his home planet or even other alien technology.

"Wow, that looks pretty cool, de arimasu! What does it do? If it's a card game, don't you just need the cards?"

"Ah... It displays the card images, actually. Here," he continues, taking the D-Gazer off his head and holding it out to Keroro. "It is easier to demonstrate than explain I should think."

"It displays the card image?" He blinks in curiosity and takes the D-Gazer. He's worked with similar eyepieces before so it's not difficult for him to figure out. Still it never hurt asking for a little confirmation.

"How's this? Wow, a card game with fancy accessories. This should be good."

[[Ignoring the fact that it's... Spanish subs, that clip is Gagaga Girl's summon intro (for the most part). -u- ]]

"Aah. That is perfect- now..." He shuffles back somewhat, turning on the disk. Keroro should hear a feminine voice state 'AR LINK ACQUIRED' as a tint seems to come over everything. And then...

"Summon Gagaga Girl!" Lights, pixels...

A very interesting young woman is now appearing before Keroro, though she looks a little confused about this not being a duel.

[[Oh hi there Black Magician Girl expy.]]

"Gero?!" Well that took him by surprise. He starts circling around Gagaga Girl. This really was something.

"I didn't think Peko--er, humans, had this sort of technology yet! Wow...this is amazing, de arimasu!"

"Aah. Yes, it is part of why I wished to show him; the time I am from is far ahead of his... I would imagine by a hundred years potentially." He smiles, and as the summon is held the monster decides to content herself with playing on her phone.

"Perhaps eventually, I will regain the disk that I was able to create from my own being, and play with others... Though I am not sure how that will be possible with only one deck, I still have hopes, at the very least."

Nyaa! Keroro, I think I was really bad! Really, really bad! I'm so SORRY, nyaa! Forgive meow!

[He sniffles. He's a very contrite Nyanpire.]

[Oh god, look what at what you've done. He tries to be a strong Sargent like he should but NOPE.]

N-no, it's alright, Nyanpire-dono! It wasn't your fault the cause got messed up! I'm sure the others will understand, de arimasu!

It was a very good try to recruiting though.

[He sniffles again, and sounds just a little more teary and a little more emotional.]

Y-you're sure, nyaa? I was a mean Nyanpire... I wanted to do bad things! I don't wanna do bad things, I want our animal club to be good!

Don't worry! We were all acting very weird at that time! I'm ashamed I even seconded your actions, de arimasu! I only encouraged you! I should be the one who should apologize!

No, no, I started it! I was the bad, bad leader! It was so weird, nyaa....

...if we're gonna do this, we gotta find somewhere to meet.

[Lion can hear definitely hear something going on in the backyard, so he goes to investigate.] Keroro-san? Is everything alright?

L-lion-dono...!

[He realizes he's sniffling and tries to put up a brave front but it fails badly.]

I don't know why but I'm just so sad both Yui-dono and Varon-dono are gone, de arimasu!

Oh, is that why? [Lion sighs.] I'm a little sad too, to be honest. It's not much fun seeing them as drones.

No kidding. At least they don't make you try play fetch or go out on a walk with a leash, de arimasu.

[Being a pet in Mayfield is suffering.]

I just got some new Gundam models to build and I was gonna show Varon-dono how to do it but now I'll never get the chance.

Oh...Gundam models? Perhaps you could show me. [And it could help to take Keroro's mind off things.]

R-really? Sure, I'd be glad to! Wait a second, de arimasu.

[His eyes light up in joy. He goes back into the dog house and brings out the one of the boxes.]

This one should be easy to do. I already spray-painted the parts.

I've heard people talk about these, but I've never seen one, let alone seen anyone build them. [Lion crouches down to take a closer look.]

Ooh, I should show some of the other models I got earlier! Plus, we have...or had actual Gundam pilots. Still, I love building them, de arimasu!

[He opens one of the boxes to reveal the air-brushed parts on still attached to their frames. He brings out a pair of side cutters and instructions.]

Ah, first we get the parts cut out with these and also keep track of which parts are which.

I see...so it's a little like a puzzle, then.

You're proposing a sort of support group, then?

That's correct, de arimasu! I mean, hasn't it bothered you sometimes that we've been denied many times by the town because we're not humans when we are just as capable as them?

Yes, it is rather annoying. It makes it very hard to get any work done.

My sympathies to you, de arimasu.

Nyanpire-dono and I figured if we built this group, we could develop a network so we can support each other especially when the town gives us any trouble. I admit we're still working out all the details but we're going to our best!

Well then, you can count on my support as well. Especially if Nyanpire is involved.
