Non-Adventure; Cade gains his healing magic back

Cade in uncharacteristically bummed. He had something really... special going while he was his alternate self, but now things are worse than before. He now has to go about his day trying to snap out of it.

[A. 305 Miller Street.]
[When Cade opens the front door this morning, there are two packages there. One is for him, and the other is for Jenny. He takes them inside and sets them on the table.

Upon opening his package, he finds his rapier, which his alternate had traded in for his healing powers. Now he has both. That's good, he guesses. He sighs, and looks at Jenny's box. It is much smaller.

Cade calls upstairs.]

"Jenny... you have a package. I think it might be something from your home."


[B. Phone.]
"*Sigh* Hey everyone... it's Cade Masters.

I just thought everyone should know that I have some powerful healing magic now. Diseases, poisons, wounds, you name it, I can probably take care of it for you. I won't charge you or anything either, so if you need it, or have any questions, just give me a ring."


[C. 339 Brady Lane.]
[Cade knocks on the door of Brady Lane. If anyone could use his healing, its Mika. Plus it will make him feel better to see his friend.]


[D. Olney's Tavern.]
[Cade is back at work, serving drinks. His heart isn't in it like usual, though.]

[At least the pillow is good for more than just screaming into. It muffles and almost completely silences some of the noises she makes, which is very useful at the moment. Although when she actually bites the pillow there's a moment where it almost seems like she's going to rip it with her fangs, but she manages not to.]

[Muffled as they may be, Cade still recognizes those noises, and watches the motion of her body for similar reactions. Though Cade definitely isn't the shy type, something about this situation has him blushing just slightly.]

[Really, she's reaching the point where she wants to crawl into a hole and die from embarrassment so Mika's just grateful that there's no one around to see this. Ducking her head, she seems to be doing her best to hide her face from him. Sweat was already gleaming on her skin, though her heavy breathing was masked by the pillow firmly clenched between her jaws. Dull claws sank into the pillow as she gripped it hard, tugging on it to keep her from succumbing to the overwhelming feelings.]

"Do you need a break, Mika?"

[The sensation is very intense by this point.]

[It was almost a guttural growl, ground out through clenched teeth and quite a bit of pillow.]

[Cade ceases casting and the sensations leave Mika's body.]

"Does your leg feel any better?"

[wolfishsurvivalist]

[She presses her fingers to his mouth, her brow still furrowed in concentration. Even though the magic's gone, there's still a residual feeling and her fingers are trembling a little.]

Shh, don't...talk for a moment. Give me a second.

[Focusing on breathing slow and steadily helped, but she needed Cade to be quiet so she could calm down the rest of the way. His voice was too distracting otherwise, and she was risking enough by touching him.]

[Cade dutifully shuts up, though he doesn't think to take his hands off her thigh.]

[Mika does it for him, batting his hands away and looking a bit skittish about it. Still, she sits up, swinging her feet off the couch and testing out her leg's flexibility. She was a little irritated at how it was hard to think, but she ran her hand over her thigh, trying to feel the muscle beneath the fabric and judge if it wasn't as scarred as it had been a while ago.]

[Cade gave her enough juice to heal a severed limb, so she should be at least a little better. Hopefully.

Cade stays quiet and watches expectantly.]

[wolfishsurvivalist]

[She stands, hesitantly putting weight on her bad leg until she's balanced her weight evenly between both feet. Taking a couple steps, there's a moment where she wobbles more because it's been years since both legs have worked properly, and it's going to take some getting used to.

Tail wagging, she looks back and gives him a small smile.]

Well, it hasn't fallen off yet, so there's still hope.

[Cade smiles back.]

"I'm glad to hear that. Do you want some more healing, or do you want to call it a day?"

[wolfishsurvivalist]

I...um.

[Her ears fold back and she begins to fidget, her blush returning in full force.]

I dunno. I mean, I want to get it over with, but I just...I dunno. This is just way too weird.

[adventurerextraordinaire]

"It's just you and me, Mika. I won't tell anyone about your... reactions. There's not need to be embarrassed about it."

[wolfishsurvivalist]

[Her tail is held stiffly as her fur bristles.]

Cade, I know you've got completely different standards from the rest of us, especially me, but I'm not entirely comfortable nearly having an--an orgasm--in front of someone I barely know!

[Mika struggled just saying the word out loud, and buries her face in her hands as soon as she finishes speaking. She isn't sure she even has words for how embarrassed she is right now.]

[Cade looks slightly hurt at that last sentiment.]

[She shakes her head, pacing a little, though her limp is lessening the more she stretches her leg.]

I'm not used to being around people all the time anymore even though I've been here a year, and four months isn't really very long to know someone, I'm sorry. And quite frankly, I wouldn't know the difference between a real orgasm or not, but it was enough to make it really awkward and uncomfortable for me. I don't know you well enough to be that vulnerable around you and be all right with it.

[She scrubs her face, trying to force herself to calm down.]

After she looks comfortable, he puts his hands on her.]

[Because Mika is very uncomfortable around men? Or possibly just uncomfortable talking about sexual matters? Or simply that she gets jittery when having to have intimate contact with people? Who knows, she has a hard time explaining any of her mental hangups.

Taking a deep (if still a little shaky) breath, she lets it out slowly and nods.]
