[A. Park]: [ If you knew Rita as she was before, you'd be in pretty major shock at the sight in front of you. Having had her memories altered, she believes that rather than falling in love with blastia at the age of ten at the orphanage she lived at, she instead fell in love with song and dance. With her prodigious talent, Rita rose to fame and become the most popular popstar in all of Terca'Lumireis.

And so in line with this new past of hers, Rita can be found in the park dancing, skipping around and yes, singing out loud for everyone to hear. It's a popstar's duty, after all!]

[She hops up onto a bench and sings with even more bravado, doing her very darnedest to entertain this poor little town.
...Yes, it's completely obnoxious, but she could probably sound much words.]

[B. Phone]: Hey there!♪

So, I'm going to have to rely on the kindness and generosity of my fellow Mayfield captives today, because I'm wondering if one of you would like to make a donation! I'm looking for any kind of fabrics, buttons, threads, the works! The clothes here are so drab and so I sketched out a design for a killer new outfit, but I don't have enough materials to put it together. Oh! Tassels would be nice too! Something with a little flash, you know?

[She's doing her best to sound pleasant and persuasive, because popstars are usually able to charm their way into getting whatever they want and Mayfield should be no different, right? Just god help them if they don't comply with her wishes. It's safe to say there are unhealthy levels of bubblegum and smiles in each of her words. It's almost completely absurd how bouncy her voice sounds.]

I can't do much in the form of compensation, because I haven't gotten my allowance yet, buuuut~
If I can get this outfit together, I'd be more than happy to sing at your birthdays, parties, wherever you need a little ray of sunshine!

So how about it, Mayfield? Are you gonna do Aergirl a favor?

Oh man, I haven't heard that song in awhile. Some of my coworkers back home use to hum it all the time when we worked together. Never understood why though.

[Oh it's Not!Dad! He gets a million dollar smile, waving down from the bench where she's perched.]

In that case, are you sure you weren't humming it too? [A playful giggle replaces what would otherwise be a wry smile.]

[Gumshoe isn't sure why Rita is so chipper, but then, it might just because it's a nice day. He gets pretty chipper on days like this too.]

Well, it's a catchy tune, so you couldn't help humming along once in awhile. He never seemed much of a musical fan though...

Ah, Mr. Gumshoe! [Rita hops off the bench, striking a dramatic pose probably better suited to a crowd of screaming twelve year olds than and gruff detective.]

But when the right song pierces your heart, any man can be overcome by rhythm!
Fan or no fan, it can reach you all the same! That's the power of music!

True, music can be pretty magical like that alright. You should've seen the barbershop quartet our department had, they always got folks moving at the policeman's ball. Helped sell a lot of tickets, let me tell you...

Oh yeah? [She wags her finger in his face.]

Bet I could've sold at least ten times that many.

Seriously?! Man, you'd be a godsend for our fundraisers if you could! Too bad you're not from where I'm from, I could ask the chief about hiring you to help with the ball next time it rolled around...

Mmmmmmmaybe a discount. If you're paying me to sing at your little police station, you better believe my screaming, adoring fans will be right behind me, plugging your coffers with at least ten times what it takes to pay me.

Well, I'll be sure to never forget it. You seem pretty proud of it, for one thing, and it's always good to be proud about what you can do.

Well, yeah, I'm a detective, but that's just doing your job you know? It's nothing really special or amazing like what some folks can do.

Wonderful! Pinks, reds, whites...Like I said, bright and flashy!

Ah, I have plenty of those! Enough for at least one outfit.

[Elated by the sudden audience (read: attention) Rita leans down towards Sophie, as if dedicating the song just to her. The girl has learned how to work the crowd in her time, or at least she thinks she does.]

♫ Oh, I would tell you why,
The ocean's near the shore,
I could think of things I never thunk before,
And then I'd sit and think some more! ♫

♫ If only I had a...! ♫ [Rita reaches out towards the girl, as if inviting her to finish the line for her.]

[Rita laughs at what on any other week would be an uncharacteristically high pitch.]

That's it! You could be a star yourself if you work hard at it~

So! [Hands on her hips into an almost triumphant pose.]

I could be a star...? Ooh... _{[No Sophie, not the stars up in the sky.]}

Oh, yes, I want an autograph! _{[She has no idea what an autograph is, but it sounds exciting!]}

[Oh young fans, they've got so much energy. Rita smile and shakes her head, pulling out a pad of paper and a pen from one of her many pockets.]

Alrighty! Who should I make it out to? What's your name, sweetie?

Sophie... my name is Sophie. _{[She pauses, remembering something before correcting herself:]} Sophie Lhant.

Sophie...Lhant...[She says it quietly as she makes a ridiculously complex note to the girl.

"To my wonderful, adoring fan, Sophie Lhant!

~ Aergirl"

Once she's done, she hands it to Sophie as if she was giving to charity.]
