[When Mara wakes up, she's mildly astounded to note it was from a dreamless sleep. It's not a relief though, and she doesn't dwell on the matter. By now, thedreams nightmares, and voices are just as tangible in the waking world as in the sleeping one.
Leaning against the kitchen counter, a cup of coffee gripped tightly in her hands, Mara stares rigidly ahead. Her eyes are distant, unfocused.]

[Having decided not to go to work today, Mara is out walking the park. There's almost the feel of a wild animal ready to lash out emitting from her; she walks with her shoulders tense, her hand drifting over the gun latched onto the belt of her dress.]
