[1st Change] The Queen at Her New Residence

[The Queen awoke in a strange and confining place. The odd structure she found herself in wasn't even big enough for her to stand up. Already angry and frustrated from her recent defeat, it didn't take her long to kick and smash her way out of the doghouse. When she was done with it, there was nothing left but a pile of splintered lumber.

Now that she was free, she became increasingly aware of several disturbing developments. First and foremost, she was missing her magnificent horn, her glorious wings, and all her lovely holes, not to mention her royal crown and several other minor things. Secondly, she had no idea where she was, this land was unfamiliar to her, even though she was well-traveled. And finally, none of her subjects were anywhere to be found.

She guessed that that blasted spell of the Princess and her husband-to-be was what caused all her current problems. They, and the rest of Equestria, would pay for what they had done to her. The ponies had gone above and beyond to humiliate her, losing to them had been bad enough, but turning her into a common mare without her minions was exceedingly infuriating.

Chrysalis stalks off through the backyard, she had to start somewhere in finding her Changeling army and returning with them to Canterlot.]


[Action - Throughout Mayfield]

[Queen Chrysalis prowls her way through backyards and past houses. She tends to be sticking to the shadows, but walks proudly in the sun if she must. Even though she looks like nothing more than a black horse or a very tall pony, she still carries herself royally.

However regal she may be walking, her eyes are narrowed and it's probably very obvious that she is quite unhappy with her situation.]

Nepeta has over time come into a fairly interesting form of outfit by way of turning any dress she can into some kind of shirt or coat with scissors or something similar- anything to at least feel like 'herself' really.

This includes, apparently, sitting around in trees... Though the moment she spots the Queen, she finds herself staring with big wide eyes; you're the first equestrian she's come across you see.

Therefore, the first horse.

Therefore, in her mind, a smaller version of one of the strongest creatures in her world...

Hoofbeasts. ...IN MAYFIELD. "Wowwwwwww..."

[Chrysalis had yet to encounter anyone as she walked, so when she heard a voice, she stopped and looked around. The voice seemed to have been above her, so she's peering at the branches and leaves.]

Well, the best thing to do now is stay in the tree when answering then! Don't want to get trampled or something~ A rustling sound and out pokes a human-Nepeta, staring with a wide-eyed grin. "Wowwww..! Hi hi! I've never seen a hoofbeast that could talk befur..!!"

[If Chrysalis makes her away around to the front of the house in her quest to get the hell out of dodge, she may just find a very large man in the driveway. He's working on repairing the infantry clank he cut in half a few weeks prior, and he doesn't immediately notice her.]

[Chrysalis had decided that the best way to go was through the opening in the fence, so she was heading down the driveway.

When she came across Klaus, she paused and eyed him up and down for a few moments. Even without her horn, she decided to attempt a simple transformation.

With her body refusing to cooperate and the transformation failing, she stomped her hoof and gave a snort. Things were going to be even more difficult than she thought. Without even her most basic powers, she'd have to rely on only her wits and other talents.

She watches Klaus work for a moment, then speaks.]

You there, what is this place?

[Klaus turns, looks at her for a few moments, and gives absolutely not indication that he is in any way shocked that an equine is talking to him.]

A town known as Mayfield. I assume you just arrived? You're a bit off-schedule.

[Naoto's met her fair share of equestrians here and it's fairly easy to assume that this scowling pony was one as well.]

[Chrysalis is rather stunned that someone is concerned with her well-being, so she eyes Naoto warily before answering. She doesn't want to show any weakness, but she does want more information. Chrysalis decides to play nice and see where that gets her.]

I'm looking for a place called Equestria, have you heard of it?

[Chrysalis immediately tenses up when Twilight approaches her, her eyes narrow more and she looks like she's probably going to attack. Her tone is nasty and sharp.]

...no. It's just a proper heads up everypony should get when they first arrive, whether they deserve it or not.

[Pinkie's just bouncing along the sidewalk, singing a little song and being generally far, far too happy for Mayfield, when she spots Chrysalis.

And there's a new face she hasn't seen at all before ever in the history of ever, because she was pulled into Mayfield before that whole wedding thing went down! So there is only one thing to do--MAKE FRIENDS!]

Hi, there! I haven't seen you in town before! My name's Pinkie Pie! What's yours?

[Chrysalis has figured out that something odd is going on here, first Twilight and now Pinkie Pie don't recognize her. Even without her best features, she still should be known enough by her enemies.

However, she is reveling in this information and is going to use it to her advantage as much as she can. She's fairly good at acting, so she's going to play nice for now.]

I seem to have just arrived, I am Queen Chrysalis.

Oh, it's nice to meet you! This is Mayfield! It's a really strange place, and there's a lot of weird creatures called humans here, but for the most part they're all really nice, except for the really weird ones called drones, they're all really silly and they think we're all dogs, which is hilarious but still kind of not right, and it's kind of a creepy place sometimes but it's not so bad because you can still hold really awesome parties here and we had a really great one the other, it was a prom, and everypony in town that wasn't a drone was there, and they had a lot of great music and there was dancing and food and I got to meet a whole bunch of new people and...

[Pinkie shows no signs of letting up or ever ending this sentence...and most of what she's saying now is just excitedly rambling on about prom. She has long since passed the useful information stage of that statement.]

I suppose I should be the first to say this, if no one else has already: welcome to Mayfield, a place that steals all of your powers and forces you to live in a family-like arrangement whether you like it or not.

[Chrysalis watches her warily as she takes in this information. She's surprised that this girl has gotten immediately down to business, that's quite handy.]

Precisely. It's terrible, but at the same time, a waste of time; your powers and belongings are returned to you one at a time, which I assume is for psychological torture. I've already regained one of my major abilities, after all...

[Now there's the third pony she's come across today. Rarity hadn't given her as much trouble as some of the others and had been easy to boss around over the wedding dress. The other two hadn't recognized Chrysalis and it seemed as if Rarity didn't as well.

She'd keep up her nice pretenses for now, but playing kind was wearing on her nerves.]

Hello. I don't suppose you know how far Equestria is from here?

[Chrysalis was fairly certain Rarity didn't know, but there was no harm in asking.]

Equestria? I'm afraid it's quite far indeed. And I'm very sorry to say, but I don't think anypony is going to be leaving this place anytime terribly soon.

[Applejack catches movement out of the corner of her eye while walking down the street and takes a closer look at one of the shadows. Is that another pony? She might not be someone Applejack recognizes, but the chances of another random pony not being from somewhere in Equestria is pretty small in Applejack's mind. Either way, Applejack decided to go say hello.]

[Another pony that doesn't recognize her? This was getting to be all too good. The only things that would make this better would be if the Princesses and Shining Armor were here and clueless as well.

Chrysalis continues to act as charming as she can. Pulling this off would be her greatest acting achievement, for she wasn't even transforming to pull the wool over everyone's eyes.]

Unfortunately, yes. I found myself in a tiny building not too long ago.
