Mother's Day - Backdated
A | 5725 Cunningham Lane
[Whatever this 'Mother's Day' nonsense is, Riza's found a way to get rid of the drone children. Her years of undercover work assisted her in sweetly convincing her two "children" to let "Mommy and Daddy have the day to themselves, Mommy really needs a day off." Housemates are free to overhear this conversation. She's scarily convincing.]
B | Phone | Locked to Edward and Alphonse Elric, Winry Rockbell, and Luke Triton (And any of Riza's other adopted non!babbies she has adopted...)
I'm going to be cooking dinner tonight, if you'd like to join. I would imagine a holiday that would remind us so much of home might be a bit...unpleasant.
C | Grocery Store | Open!
[Why hello there! Riza is shopping for groceries. And she's not the best cook, so she's carrying a recipe for each item she is planning to make for dinner, and carefully checking that list to the item she's taking off of the shelf. Intervene/assist?]
D | 5725 Cunningham Lane | Dinnertime | Ed/Al/Winry/Luke/Housemates
[Prepared with groceries, Riza has spent all afternoon cooking and managed to make an edible meal and even make the table presentable and all that. She'll greet each of her not!babbies with a little bit of a knowing smile and invite them in for ahopefully delicious dinner.]

Good day, my lovely! The name is Johnny Sfondi... Captain of the Jellyfish Pirates. Might I be of some assistance to you?
C
Good afternoon. My name is Riza Hawkeye...[She pauses.] First Lieutenant of the State Military.
I think I am doing all right. I just need to make sure I match my ingredients to the list.
Re: C
Might I be of some assistance?
C
I'm making dinner for friends and I am doing my best to follow my shopping list.
C
Re: C
If you insist, I would appreciate help carrying the packages out.
D
He has a flower in hand for Riza.]
D
Hello, Luke.
I promise my cooking is better than my baking.
no subject
[He holds at the flower.]
This is for you!
no subject
[She smiles, taking the flower.]
That was very thoughtful of you.
Come in, dinner is just about ready.
no subject
[Even if it wasn't Mother's Day, it wouldn't take much to get Luke inside for a dinner. He follows her in.]
What are you making, anyway?
no subject
I hope you like it. The chicken should be done in the oven soon.
no subject
[Well except the green beans, but you know.]
C
Looks like you plan on making a feast.
C
[Riza repositions her basket and places her recipe cards in the basket.]
I'm making dinner for some of the children here. I know it must be hard for them, particularly Edward and Alphonse--especially since Mrs. Elric had been here for a short while. I'd rather them not be stuck with their drone mother for the evening.

Regardless, he should not be home alone, even if he is particularly unpleasant.
[She pauses.]
I met him when he was at his worst. His current mood couldn't be any worse than that.

B/D
[He's a bit subdued, but he's spent the day honouring his mother as best he can, and so when he shows up at her house it's with a little smile.]
B/D
[When Al arrives, she's waiting, gesturing him inside with a small, knowing frown.]
I supposed that my sub-par cooking would be better than another evening with your drone family that expects you to celebrate a holiday.
no subject
[He's determined to enjoy this and not spoil the day for anyone else.]
no subject
My cooking skills have dramatically decreased since childhood. I didn't spend very much time cooking in the Academy.
no subject
[He never really learned. He had been too young to learn from his mother, and then he had been... unable to eat anything.]
no subject
Ah, probably just better at following a recipe.
no subject
C
Of course, Mayfield influence or not, he'd much rather greet a friend than focus on the task at hand. He spots Riza and waves.]
Hey, Riza! Need any help?
C
[Riza turns from the shelf and her recipe list and waves.]
I think I'm doing all right. I do follow instructions well and I have a list.
C
[He's going to bet that she might be insulted if he offered to carry her groceries for her, so he'll hold off on that.]
Re: C
I'm all right. Company is just fine, honestly.
Re: C
[He would have thought that even a drone would have the decency to at least lend a hand.]
Re: C
I just convinced the drones I needed a day with my 'husband' and headed out.
Re: C
Really? That's pretty nice of you. Don't ya wanna take a break or somethin', though?
Amazin' what they'll fall for.
A
Lieutenant, if you have a moment?
Sorry sorry
Of course, Sir. What do you need?
It's okay <3
This breakfast won't eat itself, that's all! And I'll have the coffee ready in a minute.
no subject
Ah--well, that is very nice of you. Did you make something to eat as well?
[Because it is far too awkward to sit at the table and eat alone.]
no subject
no subject
[Speechless. Completely speechless.]
I...thought you weren't fond of cooking, sir.
no subject
[He scoots himself over to the coffee maker, busying himself with that]
But I'm allowed to do nice things for you.
B & D
Yeah, that'd be great, Lieutenant. Thanks.
[He shows up not too long after Al, looking rather subdued. This holiday kind of sucks.]
Re: B & D
I hope you enjoy. I didn't think anyone should be home alone today, honestly.
