The Amazing Spider-Girl! #15 | Humans are weird

[Phone | Unfiltered]

Yamame hears lots of people talking about something called...um..."prom."

What's that? Is it a party, like in the city? Or is it a fight?

How come everyone is so worried about it? Yamame wants to know!

Can Yamame play too?

[Y'know...there's a good chance she might have asked this last year. How sad.]

[Action | Park]

[Yamame's not really feeling too terribly up to tear-assing around town today. Instead, she's taking a nice relaxing day in the park.

Though, instead of being out in the open, Yamame's found a nice little corner of the park surrounding by some bushes and trees to build thick webs around. It almost appears to be a strange cocoon of spider-webs just sitting on the ground in the park.

Care to investigate?]

A boring party sounds fairly accurate, yes.

Making friends through fighting, you mean? You might have success there if any of the other attendees are from Gensokyo, in that case. I wouldn't suggest attending the dance simply to punch people and ask them to be your friend, though.

You know, I'll have to agree with you on that. If the right mix of people were to arrive and be stuck in a cramped room together for hours on end, a fight or two might just break out.

The best of luck to you in that case. Do tell me if it works out in your favor, won't you?

I certainly believe it.

[a muffled laugh...] Goodness, no. I can hardly deal with the people of this town on a good day.

Spending an evening around sweaty, drunken morons doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me.

[he loves it when short memory spans work in his favor... not that he's taking it seriously anyway]

Thank you, but I'll simply wait for you to relay how the night went. Have enough fun for the both of us, won't you? Be certain to make it a memorable event.

I can tolerate another night of boredom, trust me.

I most certainly am not. I don't know why people continue to equate a reluctance to attend large parties with shyness. [yes charles why could that be...]

I'm afraid to say that isn't the case, but that most certainly isn't the case. [he almost goes to wave his hand dismissively but then remembers whoops he's on the phone, he really needs to stop making hand gestures when people can't even see them.]

At any rate, perhaps I'll have a different answer for you later. Why don't you call back then? I've something to attend to right now, anyway. [so smooth]

[how eerily and entirely correct she is!! he'll just kind of sputter indignantly.]

That is not the case! Now good day to you. [RUNS AWAY hangs up like a winner]
