[Luke's golem has progressed a lot since he first started working on it. It's gotten so tall that he now needs a ladder in order to continue working on it.

But today's he's kind of slacking off, sitting on top of the golem and seemingly lost in thought.]

...I'm going to need a suit for this dance, don't you think?

[Naturally, the unfinished golem doesn't respond.]

Perhaps a tux. Tuxes are what you bring to these sort of things, right? ...Wait, why am I talking to a golem about this?

[Phone.]

S-so um, this prom is coming up pretty quickly, isn't it? And you're usually supposed to bring someone with you, right?

[He swallows nervously. He's only gone through this sort of thing once before, and most of the women in his life are all much older then he is.]

So um, would anyone like to go? And um, if it's not too much trouble...is there anyone who could teach me a bit about dancing?

[A familiar voice floats up through the air. If Luke peers over the edge of his perch, he'll see the Riddler lightly leaning against the base of the golem.]

[The voice startles him and he grips the golem to steady himself and keep him from falling in.]

O-oh, hello Mr. Nigma, I didn't see you there.

Miss Susan isn't the only one capable of surprise entrances, you know.

[He pushes off from the base, sauntering around front so Luke can see him better.]

Considering prom, eh?

Um, yes, but I don't know who to take. I mean, you're supposed to take a girl with you, right?

[ So casual Jade... well she did tell Slugger she'd ask. ]

Uh, if you want, I mean!

[Wow, he wasn't actually expecting an answer. He tugs the collar of his shirt.]

I mean, that'd be great!

Yeah, I think it would be really fun if we went together!

Why not? [Did you hear that? The golem just spoke!

Okay, maybe not. Slugger steps out of the bricks themselves near the base of the golem. If he can move through walls, why not a golem?]

[Oh no the golem's possessed! Okay, maybe not - but he wasn't expecting anyone to be out here with him so he does jump a little, grabbing the side of the golem to steady himself.

He squints at Slugger as he peeks over the side.]

How long where you in there?

[Slugger peers up at him, his arms folded and an idle grin on his face.]

Long enough. The answer is yes, by the way. [He seems to have some experience with this prom thing.]

Luke looks a bit suspicious, but slides down the ladder and heads over to her.]

So remember how I was all like "Yeah, I'm gonna get you a cute little girlfriend?" And then I kinda totally fucking sucked and never did? Well, I finally figured out how, and it's gonna be fucking amazing!

[Because the surprise entrances are a family tradition by now, Susan appears behind Luke critically holding a suit up to his back. Lest Luke think this was out of the goodness of her heart, take heart in knowing it was only to prevent Edward from getting bright green ones for both of the boys.]

I'm ironing yours this weekend. If you want a tuxedo, you can pay for it yourself. How much have you grown since the last one -- what was it, homestaying? Homegoing?

[Luke had survived Edward's surprise entrance, Slugger's surprise entrance, but the sudden suit being pressed against his back causing him to jump in surprise, sliding off the golem before he can catch himself.]

[Susan climbs down the ladder holding the suit at arm's length.]

You're going to hurt yourself, Luke.
