(Moar Mayfield madness for Miss Miko...yeah, fun stuff.

Anyone who knows her probably won't recognize her:




But hey, she's just walking and/or flying about Mayfield and accidentally lighting things on fire. She'll try to put them out, but those attempts really end up as "turn on the person's sprinkler system as fast as possible. Still, here she is: fire and flight and all of that fun stuff. Catch her if you can~)

(Nop! That bush was the last of it! Surprisingly enough, not too many fires have been started...)

I guess some powers are controlled by incantations and sheer willpower. I can trigger mine with prayer...

I see. What about your current body? What triggered you to light that bush on fire?

I'm...not sure. She wasn't specific when I asked her; she told me she was able to master it with willpower and endurance, but that took her 900 years.

[Bazett gapes at Hakurei, debating the options in her mind. On one hand, such a dangerous creature should not be allowed to roam the streets of Mayfield. On the other, Hakurei was her ally, and if she truly was strong enough to take up the duties of an Enforcer or Executioner at such a young age, then she should have a good amount of willpower. With some training, she should be able to handle the powers.]

You should have a strong enough will, right, Hakurei? After all, you are the Shrine Maiden of Paradise.

[She smiles, trying to reassure Hakurei and keep her from becoming overemotional.]

Do you feel anything physical before your fire powers start activating?

(That actually brightens her mood a little.)

That's right...you're right! I should be able to!

I don't really feel much; I'm not too knowledgeable on pyromancy, but that might be because her body is entirely immune to fire.

Not even the slightest warmth?

[So far, it seems that the girl's fire abilities are unrelated to magic.]

It seems that this pyromancy might be an esper power. In that case, it is even more important that you remain calm. If you feel like wanting to get violent at anyone, then think of something calming, like the ocean.

Not too much, but I think that's because she's had her pyromancy for over 1000 years; I'd be surprised if she felt anything at all.

I'm calm now; I only freak out if those fires suddenly appear. I'm trying really hard not to set the whole town on fire and so far, it's working...

(Reimu is clearly trying to focus a fire; she's staring at her hand, her eyes twitching a bit as she puts her concentration towards it...

...after a moment, her hand is entirely engulfed in flame. Reimu doesn't even flinch in the slightest; in fact, she seems intrigued by this.)

Huh...maybe it's not that hard after all...

It seems you have this mostly under control. You can probably avoid any more mishaps from hereon out.

I'll definitely try to avoid them.

(Reimu flicks her hand and just like that, the flame is gone.

Yeah...she's feeling badass.)

Impressive. You progressed even faster than I thought you would.

[Her feelings for Kirisame and Hakurei would always be a balance betweenn pity and admiration, but right now, admiration is winning out. Hakurei is indeed strong--there is no doubt that she was equipped, at least physically and mentally, to deal with the law enforcement of Gensokyo.]

I'm going faster than I thought I would, too. I guess it's the whole "I don't have to worry about burning my hair" thing.

(On those occasions when Reimu actually gets serious, she can do pretty impressive things.

With that said, she's not too serious at all right now; just confident. And she's practicing these powers some more by repeatedly setting her hands on fire and putting them out. She's clearly having fun with this.)

Careful now. If you do it too much, you might end up having another accident.

But if I don't do it enough, I might have an accident. I'm trying to find the balance.

You make a good point. Then please do not go too fast or light too big of a fire.

No worries; I don't dislike anyone enough to light their house on fire.

[Her expression turns serious again.]

Hakurei, can I ask a favor of you?

Sure; what do you need?

If you find my original body, and she seems to show signs of being aggressive to you or anyone else...don't hesitate to kill her with your fire. I mean it. If you let her get close enough, she could easily kill you with my powers.

(Quite an off-putting request, but...

...wait a minute, that's Sakura's body! Reimu remembers Sakura! She doesn't think she'll do anything harmful, but it wouldn't hurt to check it out.)

I'll...see what I can do.

Be careful. My body is very strong. And if the inhabitant is panicking, there's no telling what she'll do.

Like I said; I'll see what I can do. I don't think it'll be too hard to manage, though.

Really? Do you believe that you could talk her down?

[She lets out a sigh of relief.]

I believe so; I know her from school and she was pretty cool. I don't think it'd be too out of my reach to talk her through.

That's good. I'd like to have this solved non-violently if possible. The girl is, after all, an innocent stuck in my body.

[Even though she's smiling at Hakurei as she speaks, she is unsure if the non-violent option is feasible.]
