1st Seal Unlocked
[Action: Around Mayfield]
[If you're wandering around, you may notice an unfamiliar man walking around as well. The strange thing about is he's sticking to the shade provided by the houses, trees, anything.
Hey, Dainn doesn't want a repeat performance of burning to death. Once was enough, thank you very much, even if he did feel a little strange. Or maybe he knew exactly why he felt strange but didn't want to...admit what he was now.
Either way, he's wandering around, looking for a way out or at least some information.
[Phone]
[Later on, a voice floats through the phone. The person sounds very calm for someone who just found themself in a different world and not dead.]
Is this a form of communication in this place? I'm quite surprised the afterlife would be like this...it seems rather nice.
[there's the sound of movement and Dainn drums his fingers on a table. solid. he doubts he'd ever get used to this.]
But if this isn't the afterlife, would someone be kind enough to tell me what this place is?
[a pause and then he laughs a little.]
And...has someone seen a boy named Solar Boy Django? We still have a lot to talk about!

2/3; phone, by the way.

Is someone there? No need to be shy...even if you don't know the answers to my questions we can still talk.
no subject
(Face your fears, Django; you'll have to confront him sooner or later.)
...this is no afterlife. And we have nothing to talk about.
no subject
did you miss that laugh of his Django? either way, it's the only sound coming out of the phone for a minute.]
Well well...it's nice to hear from you again. But you don't think we do? Why is that? [is it because he doesn't have Ringo's face anymore?]
no subject
daddy...)
Why do you think we do?
no subject
[but getting back to what the phone call was really about.]
But that aside, mind telling me where I am? [and why I'm not perma-dead and a human of all things.]
no subject
It's called Mayfield. It's some place completely separate from home; it snatches people away, robs them of their abilities and bodies and forces them to live human lives here. It can even snatch people after their death.
no subject
'Mayfield', hum? [well that's irritating. he has no intrest in staying as a human but he's curious about something else.]
And the people who insist I am their 'father'? [the word comes out rather strange. either he can't picture it, or he simply doesn't understand the role and what it means.]
no subject
And from the sounds of it, you've been assigned the role of a father. That means you have a job you must attend and do. If you skip three days in a row, you'll instantly be droned.
no subject
[but whatever he's wondering is put aside for the moment.] A father...oh yes, that was Ringo's role towards you, wasn't it? [can you hear the smirk in his voice?] Can you explain how that works? We never got around to talking about it.
no subject
...an actual father is there to support his children in every way he possibly can. He is supportive, kind, loving and would valiantly give his life for his children.
...but since you're incapable of such feelings, you just have to worry about doing your job.
no subject
Well they seem to be able to look after themselves at least. [and they're a free meal ticket for whenever he gets his vampire powers back, but he's not going to say it. he doesn't feel he needs to.]
What else is this place capable of? I'd rather avoid any...surprises if I can.
no subject
Ironically, this place is capable of limitless surprises. Monthly events exist to make everyone's lives more difficult, whether it's minor, torture or making people kill each other.
(He'll just go ahead and not mention regains; wouldn't want to give him something to look forward to.)
no subject
That sounds interesting....and I suppose it's all for someone's amusement, isn't it?
no subject
The ones in charge, you could say. They relish the agony of all of their prisoners.

no subject
Well, you've been very helpful Django! Thank you. But is there anything you would like to ask me?

but regained solar tree will make that difficultThough he's really not liking all of the references to Ringo.)
He is proud.
no subject
That's good that you believe so. Humm...how long does it take to get used to a human body?
no subject

no subject
You're already scheming something, then?
no subject
Not at all. [which is pretty much Dainn-speak for "I am.".] I just wish to learn about this place and it'd be disapointing if I couldn't because of this body.
no subject
I see...(Nope; not believing you, Dainn.)
There are plenty of others who can tell you other things about the town. The phone is the easiest way to contact others.
no subject
I'll have to take a look then. And again, thank you for your help Django.

-click-
(Why did he help him out again? Django couldn't figure out why he didn't just hang up the phone immediately; sure, he did now, but the fact that he took so long to do it...he was worried.)

Re: Phone
Phone
Well if the usual rules don't apply, what are the new ones? I've noticed I'm...lacking a few things.
Re: Phone
[It's clear that she finds that last bit particularly problematic]
Re: Phone
Even life and death's rules have changed....that explains why I'm not dead.
It seems to worry you, no?
Re: Phone
Re: Phone
I'm...sure that would be a problem. I wouldn't like it either.
But where are my manners? I shouldn't be asking so many questions without introducing myself. My name is Dainn. Is 'Death' how you refer to yourself, or do you have another name?
Re: Phone
Oh, I have lots of names. It tends to happen, at my age. A lot of people find it easier to call me Didi, here.
Re: Phone
Re: Phone
Phone
It's called Mayfield, and it seems to work by its own speical rules.
Re: Phone
What kind of rules are there?
Re: Phone
The streets loop back on themselves.
Death isn't permanent and they can brainwash you for doing things wrong.
I'm fairly new myself.
Re: Phone
Well, these aren't exactly ideal condictions to meet a person, but it is nice to meet you. What's your name?
no subject
Fighting back.
[He doesn't sound too worried about that though.]
I am Wanyudo, it's nice to meet you too.
no subject
Hum...I will have to keep those things in mind. I'm not fond of causing trouble, esepically for the people who saw fit to revive me.
no subject
Either way, I wish you luck in this place. I feel you may need it.
