[Action 1: Around Town]

[If you are to walk around town today, you might see a flyer on some of the buildings or poles. If or when you read it, it'll go as follows.]

Are you tired of this town's mysteries? Do you have an inquisitive mind? Or are you having some troubles aside from the obvious ones?

Then come to Shoutaro Hidari's Detective Agency. We solve all cases Hard-Boiled Style.

If you have some information about the town you'd like to share, I'm up to building an information network. We can share with each other about what we find. Everyone is welcome to pop in, but people with investigative/minds for puzzles and the like are high up on the list.

[Shoutaro is sitting with his back to the door, cooly waiting for people to reply. He's even added a nice sign for the agency, which thankfully the drones have yet to question him about (though he IS ready for that eventuality.). If he hears a knock at the door he'll answer.]

I have some notes. Most of the readings I've been able to get are unfortunately inconclusive.

Seems that's the trend here.

I've done some snooping around the edges of town. The whole loop effect is intriguing.

It is. It seems to be some sort of dimensional folding. It must take tremendous power.

Probably safely hidden outside the boundaries or far underground.

I tried following power flows, but it wasn't successful. There were implications around this time last year that it might be connected to the permanent dronings, but it wasn't clear how much of what we learned at that time was true.

The town has returned a fair amount of my equipment from home. One of the earliest items was this.

It detects energy signatures. I haven't been able to get any coherent data on anything interesting though.

Interesting all the same. My partner would probably gush over that. He likes gadgets and stuff like that.

[Did the Denden Sensor do that too? Or was it just invisible stuff?]

I am looking forward to that notion. I have the feeling two items will help out if things get rough around here.

I've picked up a great deal over the years. I'm not sure why the town decided to return so much that could potentially be useful, but it's best to make the most of it.

Maybe its something to do with the post office? Seems that's where everything comes from, or at least I've heard.

[Though he'd rather forget some of the things people have said they've given for their things.]

The dairy is likely to be central as well. The last investigation into that... did not end well.
