[See that six-foot android covered head to toe in some sort of armor, going about his business?]

[He's not wearing green. At all.]

[Try to pinch him. Go on, try it.]

[ACTION - B (BACKDATED TO MARCH 17, John Doe Park, Afternoon, OPEN TO ALL)]

[That same android now seems to have a couple of drones following him, even hanging on to him, desperately trying to pinch him—on the hard, armored parts of his body. Suffice to say, they're not having much luck—and the android looks a little annoyed as he tries to brush some of the drones off of him.]

What in th' hell are ya'll on about?

[ACTION - C (BACKDATED TO MARCH 17, Olney's Tavern, Evening, OPEN TO ALL)]

[Gat's noticed the sizable amount of patrons heading toward the tavern, both droned and undroned alike. Curious, he's come to the tavern himself, though judging from the way he carries himself and rubs the back of his helmeted head as he scans the tavern in a manner not unlike the Terminator, he's a little perplexed.]

[This might be the first person Gat's met who's openly admitted to being part-god. Unless one counts Red Ring Rico, but that's a whole different situation ...]

[Gat thoughtfully puts a knuckle to the "chin" of his faceplate, propping up the arm by the elbow with the back of his other hand.]

"Superpowers," y'say .. I've heard of folks talkin' about superheroes before, come to think of it. Is havin' divine relations part of bein' a superhero?

No, I'm not actually a superhero. Well, I sort of am, but it would be better to call me a legendary hero. But yeah--having divine blood is more or less a prerequisite for legendary heroes.

So you ain't th' type to go runnin' around in costume, then.

[There's a bit of good-natured humor in Gat's tone when he says that.]

Oh no, I do like running around in costumes whenever I can get my hands on one. It's just that I don't have a permanent "hero" name because my real name is quite enough to make any villains piss themselves.

Huh. Y'don't say.

[If Gat knew much about Earth's history to realize who he was talking to, he might be inclined to agree. For now, he just takes it as prideful boasting, though not necessarily empty as such.]

Speakin' of that, I don't believe I introduced myself—

[Gat offers Gilgamesh his hand to shake.]

Name's Falk Gatt, though most folks jus' call me Gat.

[Gilgamesh grabs his hand and shakes it eagerly.]

I'm GILGAMESH! I don't have a last name because those hadn't come into vogue back when I was born, so Gilgamesh is my only name. Yes, I'm that Gilgamesh.

[He grins, expecting Gat to drop to his knees and grovel at any second.]

[And it all flies over Gat's head! He just nods and continues in his friendly, laid-back demeanor.]

Well, I can't say that name rings a bell—I ain't even from a world like this one. Or at least, th' one this town's s'posed to be modeled on.

Ah. That explains it. All you need to know is that where I come from, I'm the very first hero ever.

[Gat tilts his head inquisitively.]

Th' very first one?

[While there's surprise in his tone of voice, it's not necessarily one of disbelief—Gat's taking Gilgamesh for his word since, well, there's little reason to believe otherwise. Especially since this town takes anyone from anywhere—there's no way to independently confirm this information.]

The first one of any consequence. I was the first part-mortal that anyone ever wrote a story about.

Folks've been writin' about heroes ever since they'd had language. An' that means—

[Gat pauses, thinking this over. Obviously this means Gilgamesh is from a very, very early time period—and yet Mayfield might not have necessarily taken him from that time. After all, if he's saying he's the very first hero of note, and yet he knows about someone who's pretty much a national or cultural hero of another country ...]

[But that pause is just long enough for Gilgamesh to interject if he wants!]

Yeah, I'm that old. But because I'm so awesome, I get to be an immortal minor god.

[Gat's posture changes. He sounds both at once surprised and a little disturbed.]

An' you've been livin' for a long time by th' time Mayfield took ya.

[He looks around at the surroundings for a moment, as if taking in Mayfield's rather flat skyline.]

... This here town's capable of takin' gods. That's a lil' disconcertin'.

Yeah, a long time. But it was well worth it because I've done stuff no one else has ever done before.

[He joins Gat in looking at the surroundings.]

Hm...I've got no direction sense and I've walked into parallel universes before, so maybe it was a combination of my habits and Mayfield's operating system?

[Gat chuckles. That would be an embarrassing way to wind up in Mayfield.]

They take everything that you are once you're here, though. An' even if an' when you get it all back—well, I reckon there's been folks who've tried breakin' out through brute force in th' past.

Yeah, kinda sucks not having most of my powers anymore.

[Still, a new experience is a new experience.]

How long has th' town had you here?

Ah...I'd say about two months or so. I've stayed in other places for longer.

Sounds like it's gonna be a lil' while before most of your things come back to you. By now I've been 'round these parts for a lil' over half a year, but I still ain't gotten most of my possessions back.

Yeah, I have lots of stuff.

[Most of which were random and useless souvenirs he had picked up during his travels.

Same here, but prolly not as much as a man who's been livin' since th' dawn of civilization.

[Gat chuckles again.]

I've got an entire closet full of stuff back home. Once I get it back, I'll show you all the neat souvenirs I have.

[Among which are teddy bear shaped iron maidens.

Souvenirs, eh? Done a lotta tourin', I take it.

[Seriously, someone like Gilgamesh could probably stock the SCP Foundation full of interesting knickknacks.]

[Not usless they're interested in things like Dracula's underpants or the cube that used to be Diomedes.]

Oh yeah, all over the place. Turns out when you're immortal, staying in one place too long gets really boring, so I ended up walking all over the Earth.

[And getting in copious amounts of trouble]

I'd reckon so. I can't claim to know what it's like from experience, but I used to know a few androids back on my homeworld who'd been 'round for a few human generations.

[Gat looks around at their surroundings.]

Then again ... things're always changin', 'specially from th' timescales you're workin' from. Give somethin' a century or even a few decades and it ain't gonna be th' way you found it.
