Fifty Fifth Summons: Finding her own amusement

 [It's spring...almost. But it's starting to get nice so Ai can be found.

A. Outside her house sitting on the staircases, surrounded by paper cranes. She's making another, while a cat is sneaking up on one to the left of her ready to jump on one of them.

B. Are you walking down the street? Do you feel like you're being watched? That would be the small girl sitting on the telephone pole watching you walk by.

C. In the park. Jumping in puddles. Doesn't seem to be paying attention to people walking by. Hope she didn't just splash you....]

I thought you might be stuck, but you look pretty comfortable up there!

[Makes him miss his powers a bit, too. He'd join her if he had them.]

I guess I am! I haven't been here long at all. Things can be pretty confusing. . . really confusing!

[From the slow way his face falls, you could almost hear it. He'll speak more quietly.]

That's. . . that's really a lot longer than I expected to stay.

Most people don't stay that long. They just get droned.

Droned? Could you tell me what that means?

They are the people who think all of this is normal and that we've lived here our entire life.

The town can make us act like them as a punishment. Or if people are sent home. Then their drones remain in the town.

If I think about it, that must mean they don't remember home, is that correct?
