[Action A (MORNING): Neighborhood]

Father! Father! [ Is that Rin Tohsaka's voice? Yes, it most definitely is, but she seems to be a lot shorter than usual and hot on the trail of a certain drone. ] Father, we should return home to prepare for my studies for the day! Father, you don't work as a mechanic! Father!

[ Despite all of her cries, the man continues on ignoring the little girl as though he's never seen her before in his life. She'll pause to consider this, watching the man dressed like a mechanic disappear around a corner. Funny.. he didn't remind her too much of her father, but how else was she to explain this closeness? Something was up. Way up. In fact, this man wasn't the first to ignore her in this manner this morning now that she thought about it. ]

Alright! [ It's as though she came to a conclusion on the strangeness of the situation already. ] Time for the great Rin to solve this mystery once and for all. Don't worry, father, I'll save you from this horrible sorcery!

[Action B (MORNING): Mayfield High]

[ First things first: school. After all, it was fairly important she kept to her studies even if she thought they were pointless. She's not too sure why she's shown up to the school for older students, but it seemed like this was the place she's attended for the past year. Has she been here a whole year? It's strange, she thinks, to be away from Fuyuki City for so long. Her family must have their reasons though as she pushes open the door to her classroom.

Only to be greeted with emptiness. ]

Wha-? [ Was she not remembering things too clearly? ] Is there no school today..? I thought.. [ With that, she'll scratch the side of her head and leave the school in her confusion. ] Geez.. how can I make such a mistake?

[Action C (AFTERNOON): L'Déplaisant]

[ There's a very short girl with twintails looking around the restaurant expectantly, as though there's something here she needs to do. Perhaps there's someone here she needs to see specifically. Regardless, she'll act as though she owns the place as she moves to seat herself at her own table all while demanding the attention of some waiter. While she is pushy, she's rather polite about it all the same. ]

[Action D (NIGHTTIME): Olney's Tavern]

[ This was another place that Rin's sure she'll find the answers she seeks. All she needs to do is practice not getting kicked out. After three attempts of sneaking in through the front door, she'll begin to try a more clever route: the back door! Proceed to a) point, b) laugh, c) assist in kicking the little girl out! ]

But Rin Tohsaka never shows an ounce of fear to anyone. Nope. Not one bit. With her nose turned up high to the sky, she'll make her declaration. ]

I want something good! I can't read this menu at all. [ Tossing it to the side and all. ] Serve me your finest dish and don't hold back on me. A heir of such a prestige family should eat the very best in the eye of the public.

Very well! [ Loken brings her a smallish filet mignon with Bearnaise sauce, and looks down at her for a moment after serving it. ]

What prestigious family do you speak of?

[ Sniff, sniff. This really? At least it's reminiscent of home just a bit, so she'll pick up the much-too-large-for-her knife and fork. ]

The Tohsaka family. [ Duh Garviel? She just looks like she's been chopped in half and hasn't quite lost her parents yet. ] Haven't you heard of my father? I thought he would be famous here but--ah.

[ The man earlier didn't look much like her father. Frowning as she tries to ignore the memories in her mind, her tiny hands grip the silverware tightly. ]

.... Rin. You look younger today. [ He blames the town. ]

Oh, you know me? I wonder if you're the man I'm trying to find. That's not a very nice compliment to give to a growing girl, hmph! That's something that stupid priest would say.

Well, if you know me, then it's alright for us to talk. AH! First you have to prove you know me though. Anyone can say they know me, but do you really?

[ She has bigger bewbs than you. ]

I don't understand... You were the one to tell me about her. [ He looks puzzled, and a little hurt. ]

[ Not as hurt as Rin as she looks away from him. ]

You must have misunderstood me. [ And in the same flat tone as before: ] I don't have a sister.

.... I see. Well, it is hard to be alone. I don't have any brothers, myself. Not anymore.

[ He smiles a little though. ]

But you can still have friends, sometimes. My name is Garviel Loken, and while I don't think your remember it, you have saved my life.

Rin remembers that she hasn't always been alone. There's just a reason now she doesn't have a sister. While it's one that doesn't make too much sense to her, she understands that her father's instructions were strict. Never the one to defy him, she'll continue to feign as though she's never heard or seen Sakura. ]

Friends aren't that bad. I have plenty of friends back home. [ 'Back home' - was this place not her home then? She's been here for so long ans she remembers horrible things happening, yet.. ] I've saved your life?

Aye. I was wounded by an assassin, and you burned the wound shut and cauterized it.

Wow. I did something that brave? [ To someone so huge at that! ] You didn't smash me for it or anything?

Why would I smash someone, particularly someone who helped me?

Because and I'm sorry if you haven't noticed this, but you're HUGE!!

Well, yes. But being huge doesn't mean I have to crush people, just that I can.

Yes, but if someone burnt me, the first thing I'd think to do is crush them.
