[ An 8 foot tall armored figure is running full tilt towards the edge of the point, a huge armored backpack (even more huge than his previous one), is strapped to his back. What do, Mayfieldians? ]


Action, Zemekis office building An armored figure seems to be flying in an arc towards the top of the office building, jetting from from some sort of backpack device, and lands atop it with a notable crunch. It stands, moving around, and looks down at the townspeople, silent. It doesn't appear to be assaulting the building, or the people, just... practicing. Do you come up to take a peek?]

Action: 2237 Stevens, evening Garviel is unarmored now, just, just staring at the droned version of Flonne with a flat look on his face. His fist clenches, every now and then, and finally he looks away from her, stepping out to his backyard, and looking up into the night sky. ]

Action: The highway. Garviel is cruising along the strip before the highway repeats in his combat bike, pausing every now and then to scan the terrain, obviously doing what appears to be reconnaissance. ]

Phone, filtered to resistance members and his friends: : I know our last undertaking against the town was less than successful. Who is still willing to try again?

Better than what you saw. [Her head snaps back around, and now she's grinning pridefully.]

I usually have guns, but with much better quality ammo. The town hasn't given them back to me, so... [Her right hand drifts outwards, and with a flash of blue light, her photon saber appears. It glows a brilliant green, and three detached diamond-shaped field stabilizers rotate at the base of the blade near the hilt.]

...it's melee all the way.

A power sword. That will be difficult to compensate for.

I'd offer to use my staff, but I've seen that... Chainsawd-looking thing you use. Although... what do you have that's not likely to bisect me if we get carried away?

[She's saying all this cheerfully, as though it's all good fun to her.]

I have a Spatha that was forged by my friend Klaus Wulfenbach. I think that would work nicely.

Spatha? I haven't heard of those before.

[Exciting as this all is, though... no, not now. She puts her sword back into nano-storage.]

Someday's not today. Fighting on a roof is dramatic, but this is just for practice....

You'd lose. I would shoulder rush you off the roof and you would die.

[ He doesn't say it arrogantly, just bluntly. Loken has a lot of practice fighting, after all, 200 years. ]

In the future, I'll keep in mind not to fight you on any rooftops.

Always find advantageous terrain, it is an important lesson.

...how often am I likely to be on a rooftop, here? There are hardly any buildings higher than a story or two!
